This song was released with a remastered song they did for a batman game years ago, giving the joker connection. The other character is one of their own older characters named Al the Killer and is a reference for fans to enjoy. The minor chords do grow on the song over time and are basically "clown music," but I see it dividing a lot of people.
As far as Riffs go, Prologue/Dark Sentencer is riff city all day long, and Gravity's Union is one of the most emotional pieces they have, and it rocks hard. Great Vid!
