It's a good story. Even when the panel is in chibi it feels more psychological since we're seeing it in the eyes of a young girl. It has a nice consistency. I like it. Hope u make more stories. Ur ocs looks very interesting

HELLO??? THIS IS LITERALLY AMAZING? I love that the art style is reminiscent of junji ito while still being its own style in itself. I love the switching from chibi to a more “serious” tone if that makes sense. I’d love to see what you could create without such a short deadline, I’d also love to see more of this characters story.

this is actually amazing, i never thought anything about how the people who make it do it. Some ofthese panels were astounding. i also have newfound appreciation for mangakas like yukinobu tatsu and urana kei that can deliver insanely detailed panels at a weekly schedule, even for mangas like kaiju no. 8 which i previousl thought why would thry need that much time for just one chapter

I really enjoyed the one shot which you had created! My friend and I are joining SMA, we are had already established our plot, and character designs! If you’re absolutely going to join SMA I would recommend starting now, so you would have more time for the one shot. As well as this time you could pace yourself which is better for your health.

@ Yeah, no dialogue is tricky, however sound effects, signs, and other physical signals (such as hand gestures) are allowed so I would take that into consideration! The theme for this round is “Seized with rage” and arguably when someone is upset words are hard to spout out. So someone could demonstrate that with scribbles that represent mumbling! 👍👍👍

Hey man. I really liked your storytelling in your one-shot. Especially the part where Walkaria speaks with herself on the mirror and we see the passage of time and how she changed mentaly. For a two week project that was overall really good. ( I am also working on a one-shot but its eventually going to be more than 200+ pages so i also wanted to tell you that i might ocasionaly skip through a page or two when i feel like drawing something different but yeah like you said having a detailed script before you actually start drawing is veery important.

So, yeah, your vid inspired me before I even watched it, but I wrestled with myself whether I should do it, but then I watched this and mannnn, it's so cool! Like the panel with the deity, and also the panel of Walkaria's face on the battlefield, holey smokes, it's tuff! And then, I really wanna know more about that person who killed her parents, the villain of your story.

The villain is actually the parent of one of my other OC’s, so Walkaria wishes for a home and the villain wishes for a warrior filled with hatred so the villain ends up raising Walkaria but then she finds out that the person raising her was lying to her all along! I did like the sind of Mirrors Mind! It's intriguing and as you said, has a good ring to it. You did a really great job on the cover and it is what made me click on this video as well. Making manga does require insane discipline though. I know how that feels, it's a battle of staying motivated and being persistent.

I think the chibi style not only saved time but also made the impact of 20:00 a lot greater bc it felt quite different despite it being the same character.
For your first time and being under deadline pressure i'd say it was pretty good. Although you did pick a difficult genre for a beginner, especially for a one shot.
"Mirror Mind" Great effort, i can't draw am apple let alone. But, your script needs work. That is another aspect of manga that is vital. Good luck in the future

Thanks for sharing! I liked your close up images… The chibi parts in front of the mirror works as a dramatic contrast to how your protagonist looks on the battlefield, but I wish you had had more time to work on a less chibi look for the parts where she falls in the water, etc. ^ - ^
Just want to say amazing manga, respect for you. Also didn’t quite understand that last bit where a wish for ruthless warrior was asked.If you can explain that it would be great. Other than that a solid 8.5 out of 10 one shot manga .
Wow that’s so kind of you!!! Haha I thought it might be a little tricky to understand so I’m sorry for not making it clearer in the manga I gotta work on that 😅 So if you recognize the eyes on the villains panel it’s the same from the first page, meaning they are the one behind the death of Walkaria’s parents. So because Walkaria started to hate herself for not being able to do anything to save her parents, the villain wishing for a ruthless warrior filled with hatred actually turns out to be Walkaria. Since Walkaria wishes for a home, she ends up living with the person that killed her family, because she wasn’t specific about the kind of home she’d want, she ends up living with the villain and gets trained by them to get stronger as what she wanted to do. So during the timeskip page you can see that she says “my master said they deserved it” to killing innocent soldiers. So the villain was slowly brainwashing her as she grew up but at the end her wish is to snap out of it and she wishes for freedom from all the hatred! Hope this made sense I’m sorry for yapping 😅
First of all, because i don't want to be a negative nelly, i'll say that some of the art you created here was really interesting and even inspirational. i think the pages that were pretty much dedicated to one image were top notch, and i think you did amazing for your first time and with the restraint. now here will offer some constructive criticism: your art speaks for itself, and so many panels i felt like there didn't need to be any dialogue at all, and found myself distracted but somebody saying or think something obvious. i think a great example is the panel where she sinks, and her eye is highlighted, it's really a great panel and doesn't need any words. also, and i understand the time restraint is responsible for this, but i felt like the mirror system is over explained and not fully developed, whilst the ending is forced resolution. i think if you took this one shot, and expanded it into an actual idea, or at least a one shot with more pages, you could flush out your interesting characters, fix some rapid pacing, and develop the theme of "legend" which i felt was somewhat unexplored here. i was extremely motivated by your efforts, your beautiful art, and your documentation of these things, sharing what you learned, and i hope to kick myself out of the rut i've been in and get back to creating.

Thisit’s really good!! Do you have any intentions of continuing this story? It’s giving strong Witch Hat Atelier vibes, which is saying a lot!! I feel like between action, adventure, fantasy, and world building this story has a lot of potential. I’d highly encourage you to develop this into a self contained 100 or so pages graphic novel, like Look Back or something. It’s a really break and endearing story. Would love to see it grow into something fully fleshed out. All the best!!

The problem of your Manga is that you are trying to put a whole legacy with limited page. Try making a short event rather than a story. Most panels were text heavy and chibi art style was too much it kills the mood. I'm saying this as a reader so don't hate me.
I want to make mangas as well so this video is very usefull for me, still far away for me to make anything as iam still trying to learn it. Only thing that comes close to it is a quick sketch mock up of a anime opening scene using og characters.

I did like the sind of Mirrors Mind! It's intriguing and as you said, has a good ring to it. You did a really great job on the cover and it is what made me click on this video as well. Making manga does require insane discipline though. I know how that feels, it's a battle of staying motivated and being persistent.

Thanks for sharing! I liked your close up images… The chibi parts in front of the mirror works as a dramatic contrast to how your protagonist looks on the battlefield, but I wish you had had more time to work on a less chibi look for the parts where she falls in the water, etc. ^ - ^

So if you recognize the eyes on the villains panel it’s the same from the first page, meaning they are the one behind the death of Walkaria’s parents. So because Walkaria started to hate herself for not being able to do anything to save her parents, the villain wishing for a ruthless warrior filled with hatred actually turns out to be Walkaria. Since Walkaria wishes for a home, she ends up living with the person that killed her family, because she wasn’t specific about the kind of home she’d want, she ends up living with the villain and gets trained by them to get stronger as what she wanted to do. So during the timeskip page you can see that she says “my master said they deserved it” to killing innocent soldiers. So the villain was slowly brainwashing her as she grew up but at the end her wish is to snap out of it and she wishes for freedom from all the hatred!

First of all, because i don't want to be a negative nelly, i'll say that some of the art you created here was really interesting and even inspirational. i think the pages that were pretty much dedicated to one image were top notch, and i think you did amazing for your first time and with the restraint. now here will offer some constructive criticism: your art speaks for itself, and so many panels i felt like there didn't need to be any dialogue at all, and found myself distracted but somebody saying or think something obvious. i think a great example is the panel where she sinks, and her eye is highlighted, it's really a great panel and doesn't need any words. also, and i understand the time restraint is responsible for this, but i felt like the mirror system is over explained and not fully developed, whilst the ending is forced resolution. i think if you took this one shot, and expanded it into an actual idea, or at least a one shot with more pages, you could flush out your interesting characters, fix some rapid pacing, and develop the theme of "legend" which i felt was somewhat unexplored here.
i was extremely motivated by your efforts, your beautiful art, and your documentation of these things, sharing what you learned, and i hope to kick myself out of the rut i've been in and get back to creating.

Thisit’s really good!! Do you have any intentions of continuing this story? It’s giving strong Witch Hat Atelier vibes, which is saying a lot!! I feel like between action, adventure, fantasy, and world building this story has a lot of potential. I’d highly encourage you to develop this into a self contained 100 or so pages graphic novel, like Look Back or something. It’s a really break and endearing story. Would love to see it grow into something fully fleshed out. All the best!!

The problem of your Manga is that you are trying to put a whole legacy with limited page. Try making a short event rather than a story. Most panels were text heavy and chibi art style was too much it kills the mood. I'm saying this as a reader so don't hate me.
