The monarch of the fictional nation of Latveria, Doom primarily serves as the archenemy of Reed Richards and the Fantastic Four. He has also come into conflict with other superheroes in the Marvel Universe, including Spider-Man, Iron Man, Doctor Strange, Black Panther, the X-Men, and the Avengers. The "good" Doom wasn't better.
He should have known that constantly throwing insults at a Doom and his reality wasn't going to end well. He was even more arrogant than 616 Doom, to the point he didn't even have any precautions in place to save himself in case 616 Doom tried to kill him.
The "good" Doom wasn't looking to save anything, he was looking to transform another reality in his image and hold that as proof of superiority over another Doom.
It was obvious that 616 Doom was going to kill him, especially after the panel where 616 Doom said he was wrong.

There are two things that always crack me up about Doom. He is one of the most intelligent people in the world but he doesn't understand how to talk to someone in a way to manipulate them that isn't arrogant or menacing. He also has this amazing armor and access to amazing magical spells and powers but still wears a pistol on his hip, probably to show the peons that he is a threat in a way they can understand without having to waste the time showing them through actions or words.
Essentially the difference in walk to the store and driving to it. lmao He just ain't got the patience for it.
People will disagree with me. Well, Dr. Doom likes to boast a lot, but Oblivion can handle Doom without his presence(Oblivion). As to say, you can't destroy nothingness.
I imagine Doom worked up his classic revolver these days in a way that it could probably give some top tier super-heroes a world of hurt... or maybe he just doesn't want to appear unarmed and potentially vulnerable? Who knows, True Believers!

My favourite doom moment was after the day was saved and the whole story had climaxed, the heroes were happy because they stopped a disaster of epic proportions and Doom just kills one of the heroes because they kidnapped him during the middle of the story.

Doom is the quintessential megalomaniac genius. Once you think he’s outta tricks or becoming less “doom” like he goes and destroys a reality because he is doom.

Doom is at his best when he walks the line of morality, glory and expedience. I hate when they make him so small and petty after all he has been through.

I have always been a huge fan of Dr. Doom. He has always felt different than other Marvel big baddies. He wasn't born with insane powers or the product of some accident that gave him his powers. His abilities are the result of a relentless work ethic and staggering intellect. He is like the ultimate representation of a street level villain that has made it to the top of the heap. Easily one of the best Marvel characters.
He was not born with powers on Thanos. He has improved himself in every sense over time. Thanos and Doom are Marvel's two best villains.

He was born with powers. Doom's mother literally sold her soul to the devil Mephisto, Doom's powers were incidental to her practice. As he grew She taught him what she could of the dark arts.
His original arc was to gain power in order to liberate his Mom's soul from Mephisto.

Basically Doom 1 met a version of himself from another dimension, Doom 2, that achieved everything they both ever wanted.
Doom 2 told Doom 1 every step he would need to take to achieve that same goal.
Doom 1 took it as an insult and destroyed Doom 2s universe

I love the fact that the vehicle he uses in the total war section looks like just a modified Halo warthog.
Doom is literally the best character ever created. A man who finds being a god beneath him. Who has obtained ultimate power so many times, he just doesn’t even care anymore. But he will still do it again anyway.
Ok, Crazy theory but what if what Kang was saying was a lie in order to achieve this outcome. What if the peaceful world that was created was so powerful, so well protected Kang could not defeat it which is why he wanted the nullifier. Yet the only opening to destroy such a world and prevent it from happening was to have Doom make the choices.
Was Kang the one manipulating Doom and no one is the wiser?
He was lying, he just wanted the Nullifier and learned approximately when Doom acquired it.
Doom wouldnt allow Kang to destroy his Pride & Joy/Legacy. Doom would see that future/Utopia as his alone.
Kang manipulating Doom would honestly be an amazing plot twist.
The one thing I dread that Marvel might do if they adapt Doom to the MCU is that they might make him redeemable. Doom is not redeemable, for he does not see his actions as anything other than right.

When they finally introduce Dr. Doom in the MCU the world will hopefully learn how awesome he is as an "anti-villian.". Yes the only one I can think of to describe like that.

Yeah they definitely need to have him ride that line between hero & antihero/antivillain. He can't just be a regular bad guy, and I actually think Victor Von Doom should replace the Tony Stark character as the face of the MCU now. They have similar egotistical personalities and love for tech, while Doom has magic to rival the greatest Marvel sorcerers.
Me personally, I think it would be best if the MCU introduced him during Ironheart TV series as Infamous Iron Man as his "origin"" story, instead of his redemption arc like the comics. It gives us someone most fans and casuals would know to replace Stark and not "Riri". I think it would be cool if he stole mark 85 from endgame, upgraded it further with his own tech/magic, fought for "good" but is more willing to kill and other things that put him at odds with the heroes all the time. He then could become the Dr Doom we all know and love, then maybe JUST MAYBE he reverts back to the Iron Man mantle at the end of the saga.
I don't mind him being a Stark admirer to the point where he basically steals his tech to replace him, but then sees he isn't as loved nor viewed as "heroic" like Tony was which ultimately drives him to become his own, Dr Doom.

@@matthewrobbins663 Absolutely, I just hope they introduce him sooner than later and we get proper exploratory of his lore and personality because it's by far the best thing we haven't seen yet, with Secret Wars coming up in about 5 years or so we need him NOW. Lol, Ironheart would be a great introduction point and then have his character build further in the upcoming Armor Wars that is a movie now. I really hope they have a good plan for Doom and don't just throw him in as a bad guy.

Also Reed knew what he was doing. He was intentionally gaslighting Doom with that video call and knew it would cause Doom to 2nd guess himself. But at the same time Richards ended up causing that failure of the collider b way of Doom.
Dr.doom literally took over a part of the globe out of boredom. in a world where the X-men will track down omega level mutants like legion who is just living a normal life to literally poke the bear with a stick by telling him he has powers, the entirety of the super hero world is like “I would rather be in the darkest timeline than try to take back What Doom has conquered

Doom has always been the best. He's always referred to as a villain but Doom isn't actually a villain , he's not motivated by evil . Doom is everyone's enemy, he holds contempt for anyone that starts to believe they've become the most powerful, smartest, or ruthless. Anyone that presents a threat to his ego really. When people think they can slight him, out think or maneuver him, or get in his way are usually corrected. I feel like he doesn't do things out of hate or to be villainous and he doesn't do it out of greed/avarice or because he's envious/jealous or looking to benefit financially or whatever. He does it because he's Doom and he can. Lol and his quips leave 3rd degree burns, Doom can silence anyone. "I was once a God, I felt it was beneath me." That might not be the exact quote but it's close.

Dr DOOM is the greatest character in fiction in my opinion. EVERYtime he appears in one story he makes it better. He' s soo cool and well written, he WAY beyond a fantastic 4 villain, he is THE marvel villain (always have been) . He's always above everyone else (even when he's not). I love his mannerisms like talking in 3rd person, his arrogance is a character of his own. He reminds me a bit of Shao Khan who is also amazing!

Sorry to correct you Rob, but if a black hole were to open on the moon, our destruction would entirely depend on the size (mass) of the black hole. Black holes can (theoretically) be the size of electrons. They would evaporate instantly, but they would exist for a brief second. The larger they are, the slower they would be to evaporate. If you had a black hole with the mass of the Moon where the moon is now, nothing would happen to the earth. Because it would have the same gravity as the moon (since it's the same mass as the moon) and thus, would affect tides the same, etc. Black holes don't just magically suck everything in like a giant vacuum cleaner -- they're still bound to the same laws of gravity everything else is.
The thing about the Ultimate Nullifier is that it destroys the user as well.
Wait, if he used the Ultimate Nullifier to unmake the universe from existence, then did that actually count (as far as Death was concerned) as him _killing_ everyone in it?
Yeah Id assume, Lady Death literally threatened Mephosto with non existence in this comic. I dunno if it's different because the nullifier makes it so they NEVER existed to begin with, but I'd take it with a grain of salt

The ending basically shows the ugliness and major flaws of humanity... selfishness, greed, and egotism being chosen over collaboration, charity, and altruism.
I hope and pray to God that Cillian Murphy plays Doctor Doom in the MCU. I'm also really hoping that Kang doesn't become the Beyonder in The Kang Dynasty and Secret Wars.

Victor is the also the reason the universe was destroyed as for all his intelligence coupled with the knowledge he had of warlord doom, he let his ego take over and he repeatedly berated warlord doom until warlord doom deleted his everything... know thy enemy and know thyself seemed to escape his vast knowledge. I believe a smarter or wiser person would have explained he simply perfered to be respected then feared and by being the change he wished to see in the world would compliment warlord dooms positive qualities instead of attacking his negative qualities. How tragic.. such a loss.
