- The capital of Ethiopia, Addis Ababa is a city full of life and rich in culture. There is of course no better way to have a local take you around for the day to show you what this city is all about.
From the delicious Ethiopian food including injera, tibs and kitfo to the beautiful churches, National Museum and the hustle and bustle of Merkato Market we truly had the opportunity to see it all. We were even invited on stage to share some dance moves with real Ethiopian dancers at Yob Abyssinian Cultural Restaurant!
No matter if you are here for a few weeks or just a day, this is the best way to see Addis Ababa.

Ethiopians are generally very hospitable and friendly, it seems to have so much to offer, av only entered Ethiopia while transiting but now I'll have to visit and experience the rich culture and learn the history, you two had a great time, my favourite part was the last restuarant that had a dance session

You know I am Ethiopian but I agree with u 100%, I’m always amazed when people trying our food with hand- for me i have to see u cooking to open me up to try a new food - how uptight is that, I hate it. As for Ethiopia food, everything starts using a lot of Red Onion, then Oil, Garlic, chili powder (Ethiopian chili has so many spice) it’s better to buy it Ethiopian market place, then add lintel or potato or meat….the process is the same-

Wow ... I like the guides here . The guide took you on very important places . Beata lemariam church is Amazing . If you see the ancient Manuscrips there they are very old like more than 1500 years. Very good place to see.

Please come to Bahir Dar. There is so much to see here. Ethiopian history started here and expanded to the south.

Dave, you have been told lies concerning kitfo because that food is unique to Guragwe people whose home is in the southern part of the country but the conflict with Italy was in the North. Guragwes have always been known for there unique dish called kitfo way before the Italian arrival to the country.
I just went with what our guide told us.

I think you mix up kitfo with kurte..
Kurte is started based on the story u mentioned. Both are eaten Raw but prep differently . Hope this clarifies the mixup for you.

I love your videos. Glad you having fun in my homeland. One correction about the Kitfo, it wasn't with Italian wars but during the Islamic wars of the 15th century. In fact it was more about the raw meat eating culture in Ethiopia than Kitfo.

So happy you guys have been enjoying the food. I was sad when I saw you mention your friends told you the food in Ethiopia is not good. I feel bad they did get the chance to enjoy the incredible food. I would also like to add i always hear foreigners say Ethiopian food is like Indian food but I feel like it’s closer to Arabic food flavor wise.
To me ( personally) Indian food has very strong spices and I’m able to taste every seasoning in each dish. Meaning I can individually taste the cumin, turmeric, ginger garlic etc..
In Ethiopian food you can tell there is so many spices but the spices are so blended they just create one unique flavor. You can’t test every seasoning individually!!! Not trying to offend anyone just sharing my observation & experience.
The food was out favorite about Ethiopia haha. We LOVED IT!!!!
