Gosh I was in Toowoomba when that when they went through the city at the intersection of James and West.. I was like.. those things really do exist and they do get that big and I was absolutely fascinated by seeing it hey!! It made me just imagine how big Devistator really was because the Bulldozer was just his left arm hey!! I just wonder how much that thing weighed and how tough that little truck was to carry and pull it all the way it did let alone up that range of ours hey!! There is the little train that could.. well that day there was 'the little truck that did' hey!!
Unfortunately you couldn’t be more wrong. An electric truck would be supplied with far more accessible engine torque, however charging the batteries would be an issue.
Sorry Richard, but the torque an electric truck can make dwarfs what the Mack has. The pulling power of the ET is well beyond even the dreams of a beautiful sounding V8 Mack. I know how emotional it is to even think of an EV blowing a diesel Mack into the proverbial weeds, but, facts are facts I'm afraid.
Just saying! Not sure if that's the best idea having the traffic stacked up not to far behide that load, snap a drive train and down hill she's comes, 🙄🤕🤔
Given 28 wheel ends on the ground , all braked, I reckon it would hold, That’s the first part of the risk assessment, don’t want the general public scared that these things haven’t been accounted.
Beautiful truck, great sound! Gotta love them V8 Macks!
Next to F111 in full cry, the best mechanical sound known to man is a V8 MACK using all of that torque and power...
It's a true joy to hear and see that shiny beast of a bulldog smashing the range
Wov, so nice of him to also pull the volvo up the hill
🤣
lmao too 😅😂🤣😎.
He's not pulling the Volvo is pushin
@@user-so2ni3lq1xnope the Volvo is doing its usual thing, being dead weight like they always are 😂
what else would expect of something with only 6 cylinders

Good old Mack even towing a Volvo to lol
Lol more like the Volvo's doing all the work lol
@@robertstojcevski1098 aren't they the same thing anyway.
@@Darndiddlyarn no they different, both awesome trucks in there own right
@@robertstojcevski1098 sorry, making a joke about mack being owned by volvo.
@@Darndiddlyarn lol you be surprised how many drivers don't like being over taken by Volvo lol
That was great to the old superliner pulling that and the Volvo lol
Rumor has it the Volvo took a crap halfway up the hill and the Mack was pulling him too... LoL!
Love that sound !!!.i used to drive the ultra liner (daughter supporter).in brissy .for a while.
Impressive picture of the Mack with its near side torqued up from the load !
A gift from the GODS!!!

Ah music to the ears
A steep snig up Toowoomba range.

Love that sound
Beautiful sound 👌😍😍😍🇦🇺
that was truly mint ! ! !
It's a good idea to use a heavy tow truck as the pusher. If anything goes wrong, he can quickly tow away what he needs to.
Impressive footage !!!

It was a push-pull job actually... the truck behind was pushing. Never would make it by itself. Not our Toowoomba range with that much weight.
That is one steep pull up that range
I been up & down that range, it's really steep. My Bedford couldn't even tow a half empty furniture trailer up it .
Yeah the torque of those trucks is insane my hilux probly be pulling 2nd gear up it hahaha
@@hamish2202 i wouldn't have got out of first an probably cooked halfway up haha.
Shes a beaut

I’ve seen that Mack at the Brisbane truck show
Wow i been up that range once..💪
Well said...👍
The Mack makes the noise.. The volvo get´s job done (without noisy show-off)
Like a boss
divisible load!
😍😍😍😍😍
Bet that didn’t piss anyone off
Fuk yeah,, cant beat the sound of a V8 Mack 😎👍
Go the mighty mack that sound is better than music
Why a push is needed?,?
Is it just me or would that oversize banner being sucked towards the radiator be making the engine not as efficient and run a bit hotter?
Mack is now owned by Volvo. Volvo was on the Macks arse trying to take over back than. Unfortunately they succeeded.
Is this New Zealand?
Queensland,Australia
Yeah would love to see an electric truck do this type of work - tell em there dreaming lol
Not a supporter of EV's. But you do know they get max torque at zero RPM?

The Mack could pull that up Towoomba easy by it's self.
It's a dump truck
What a load of bull - dozer
