Jump aboard the Deluxe Coachlines - Clift Brothers Racing Group A Holden Commodore for a lap of Lakeside at full noise. This original Group A is owned and driven by Wayne Clift. Filmed at the Lakeside Classic in August 2017. The car was originally built in 1986 and debuted in 1987.

This is home movie (unedited and lifted from a VHS) footage of the 82 / 83 Bathurst Winning VH Commodore, as driven by Peter Brock and Larry Perkins, at a small car show at Ampol Mansfield (Brisbane). Some rare footage of Dad in this video (wearing the Doors shirt) as well as Russell Baldwin. For the trainspotters - the car is in 1982 colours and the 1983 aero kit.

Full speed and slow motion footage from in-car camera in Wayne Clift's Deluxe Coachlines VK Group A Commodore as it makes slight contact with the unforgiving concrete walls at Skyline - Mt. Panorama, Bathurst. Not one was hurt and the car returned to racing the following day. Images reproduced from speedshots.com.au.

It's a good idea to use a heavy tow truck as the pusher. If anything goes wrong, he can quickly tow away what he needs to.

Not a supporter of EV's. But you do know they get max torque at zero RPM?
Unfortunately you couldn’t be more wrong. An electric truck would be supplied with far more accessible engine torque, however charging the batteries would be an issue.
Sorry Richard, but the torque an electric truck can make dwarfs what the Mack has. The pulling power of the ET is well beyond even the dreams of a beautiful sounding V8 Mack. I know how emotional it is to even think of an EV blowing a diesel Mack into the proverbial weeds, but, facts are facts I'm afraid.
Gosh I was in Toowoomba when that when they went through the city at the intersection of James and West.. I was like.. those things really do exist and they do get that big and I was absolutely fascinated by seeing it hey!! It made me just imagine how big Devistator really was because the Bulldozer was just his left arm hey!! I just wonder how much that thing weighed and how tough that little truck was to carry and pull it all the way it did let alone up that range of ours hey!! There is the little train that could.. well that day there was 'the little truck that did' hey!!
It was a push-pull job actually... the truck behind was pushing. Never would make it by itself. Not our Toowoomba range with that much weight.

I been up & down that range, it's really steep. My Bedford couldn't even tow a half empty furniture trailer up it .
