A neat trick to imply that a hooded or helmeted figure only has one eye is to cover up one of the eye slits so that it's entirely unusable. It's noticeable at a glance and it adds a very unique little detail you don't often see at the table.
The kitbashes were great. The Forbidden Psalm line of books are fun as hell and really easy to get into. There is a game coming out soon from Osprey called The Doomed. It's a post apocalyptic grimdark sci-fi game that really leans into the kitbashing aspect of the hobby. It's also fun to play. Been kicking around the test copy the author released a while back. Can't wait until the official release in August.
@Aaron Basham Waregame Vault is a good place to look. They sell PDFs as well as printed copies. That's where I purchased all my Forbidden Psalm books from as well as Reign In Hell, Space Station Zero, and Space Weirdos.

The list of hobbyists who have dipped their toes in the setting is very short, so to be treated to a 20min video about kitbashing was truly a treat! Would love to see you tackle CY_BORG or other 'borgs' in the future, as you've just got a new sub!
Awesome! Hadn't had the chance to take a look at CY_Borg or Kill Sample Process. That being said, I really enjoyed this and I can see me doing something similar for KSP and other CY_Borg related stuff.
This is indeed a real fun process. It’s also something I really like when planing dungeons or other locations for D&D. Just throwing some dice, looking at few rnd tables and interpreting what comes out in the end. I love it 😄

One of the best kit bashing videos ever! And one of my all time favorite hobby videos, I probably rewatch it every month or two because it's so good. I was already interested in Forbidden Psalm when I first saw it, but this pushed me off the deep end.
17:52 "...this bit, which is probably a horse mane or something." It's actually a hair piece meant to go along with the Dark Elder helmet you used on the first guy. You can optionally glue one of those onto the back of the helmet. I've painted a few second hand 3rd ed Kabalites in my time, so I recognize the parts.

Enjoyed watching your kitbashing and greenstuff work. Just a suggestion. Have you tried using facial tissue and PVA glue to make ragged clothing? You tear and cut the tissue, white glue it in place then paint over it with white glue. I did this to add rotting clothing to my otherwise naked skeletons and it worked very well and took the paint, usually just dark washes, really well. Old School Museum Diorama builders who sculpt their figures and make clothing for them use this technique a lot.
I got this same exact skeleton kit myself and it's perfect for kit bashing with other skeleton themed parts or using for other projects like putting them into resin dice
This game is great! I've played a few missions deep with some friends. The zainy fun of these misfit warbands is great! I encouraged my friends to bring whatever they wanted to represent their members. One friend had a rolled out sliver of greenstuff poster-tacked to a base, this was his party's snake... (There is an expansion book that gives rules for pets) XD
I know nothing about the games you are talking about, making miniatures or anything in between, but it was interesting to watch you make frankenstein monsters with those parts and the results are incredible. I've read part of the D&D player's handbook, but I've never played by the rules or with figurines, mostly because of scheduling problems with the friends I could play with, adult life and stuff.

Mork Bork is the way to go for sure, so many great supplements and expansions out there :-) I have Forbidden Psalm as well as tons of stuff from Beastuarm miniatures been a backer of theirs for almsot 3 years now, they do amazing minis suited for this as well as 5E dnd stat/adventure sets each month and!! Forbidden Psalms so tons of maps, events minis and stats for it :-) could have a reall deep long campagin of mixing both Mork Borg with Forbidden Psalms if you wanted to as well do the bigger fights with the minis and forbidden Psalms for some cool dynamic story stuff and for small fights stick to normal Mork Borg combat. A new Mordheim ;-)

Regarding Steve The Sometimes: While I do like your solution using the Wargames Atlantic kit, bone armour has actually been used by human societies in history. You could reasonably have just used any lamellar or scaled armour and painted it as bone, maybe with one or two extra bony details added- that's what it looked like when we used it anyway! It might be a useful tip if you wanted to make a whole army in bone armour I guess. Excellent video though!
Super cool video! I love Mork Borg and have been toying with the idea of getting into this game. I love all of the interesting tables; thanks for previewing them! Big question, though. Do your characters last long enough for this to be worth it? A lot of skirmish games I’ve played lately have characters dying regularly, and with how unique each character is, I’d be sad to put this much effort into a character piece just for it to die after a couple of games.
Well I guess it depends on how much you enjoy making specific characters for a game. As long as you enjoy the time you spend making them it’s always worth it imho. Especially because it’s more likely that you are really invested in the warband when you take some time fleshing out your band outside of stat sheets. It elevates the whole game to another level in my book. Do you always have to make a kitbash from every character? Again it depends on how much you enjoy the process. I for my part enjoy it a lot :)
@@LenricsRealm And there's a psychological aspect to it too! When you put the time, effort, and care into making your characters, you might feel a stronger attachment to them and not take extra risky moves with their lives, just as they themselves realistically would
Hi, your conversion are amzing, however, I saw that you made a mistake builing your skaven headed archer, it has the bow in its right hand but the quiver is angled so that he can take the arrows out only with its right hand. This makes the mini a bit wierd to look at.
I think my favorite one was the saint, I would personally made his blindfold a more stand-outish color but that's just me, otherwise these are all really cool, subbed!
