🏈Panthers receive WR Diontae Johnson and a 7th-round pick.
🏈Steelers receive DB Donte Jackson and a sixth-round pick.

Omar is MAKING MOVES! Time will only tell how this all goes but I personally love seeing the Steelers so active. A lot will not be happy but Diontae Johnson was reportedly unhappy in Pittsburgh, on the final year of a contract & perhaps needing a change of scenery. Now will Bryce Young be the answer to his QB issues? I don't think so but he's a Panther now. The Steelers received Dante Jackson. A 28 year old cornerback from LSU, Donte Jackson. A quick search shows that he was one of the leaders of that Panthers defense. I don't hate the move at all. It's a solid pickup for a position that the Steelers have had issues finding answers for unlike wide receiver.

@LiamDeege i played with/went to The McDonogh School & played in the same system as DHB he's younger. 8th grade when i was a sr in 99 & played 3 yrs of varsity with ex nfl/all American cb @ericking & we were the 2 deep guys/started on the same defense for 3 yrs together I'm a yr older than E but he didn't play offense bc he didn't want to. Was like our 3rd rb in a 4 wr set pro style backfield 1 back & no tight end offense but ge wanted to excel at cb & was a hard hitter & ran a 4.4 as a jr in hs on my side, i started both ways in the slot & on D both played on the defensive left side i played left olb & he was next to me at lcb in a 4-4 hs 1 safety defense.... Anyway, my question or point is, did u play with or know Kenny's friends or have ties to him? Bc I heard from Darius he didn't want to "compete" for the job in Pittsburgh with Russ so they said ok sit behind Young Jalen hurts for the rest of your career or however long... why the animosity towards the staff for giving kenny to philly?
@@Bry_and_Missy I know but I felt like he would get better, sure he had ups and downs but part of it is also to blame with bad coaching and he was coached by a coordinator who did nothing but curse the offense. I’m also just stating my personal opinions on the trade and I’m saying that I’m angry and mad about what they did. I don’t trust Wilson to be the starter until proven otherwise. They should’ve made Kenny starter and have Wilson mentor him.

Hopefully he can stay healthy. He signed a fairly decent extension for a reason. If he can stay healthy he can more than fill the CB2 role.

DJ is actually a great receiver and it sucks that the overall offensive struggles pushed blame on him. I wish him the best in Carolina, but with that being said the move still makes a lot of sense. The Steelers saved 6 mil with this trade and historically draft WR’s extremely well. On the contrary JPJ is the first good corner we’ve drafted in a loooong time so getting another guy to line up across from JPJ knowing that we can probably replace DJ while simultaneously saving 6 million is a good move. Still stinks to lose DJ though. I hope the next WR wants to be a better team player though and get involved in the blocking game

honestly i hate this trade. diontae was the most overhated receiver of all time. he was actually pretty solid. i guess even omar khan has off days
