Wow... I gave him the benefit of the doubt that he simply didn't see the fumble but your slow motion video proves otherwise.... get him outta the league
Out the league is a bit dramatic. Calm down Karen
He could have seen the ball but none times out of ten it's a dead ball. I assume he thought the play was over.
racist
I said the same thing until I seen he didn’t even try to chase it down
He looked directly at that ball.. idgaf what no one says
He was lackadaisical from the very beginning of the play. He put no effort in making it look like he was really running a route
I think that was him pretending to almost start a block.
@@isawaakuma he was supposed to block? 😂 Dudeass didn't do Nathan
Steelers were in the Red Zone!!EVERYONE should be giving 110%!
The ghost of AB lingers.
Think about how many players would KILL to have his opportunity.
OJ Simpson KILL 😂
🤣🤣🤣@@AmaZinGly-m3
He was probably mad he wasn't getting the ball or cause they ran it that play. Un real, smh.
Cam Newton in the super bowl vibes 😂
How did he not see it he was looking right at it! He's only passionate about getting his
Another "I'm too good for this team" player.
He said in an interview he didn't see it, he was blocking and whatever... Did anyone see him block anyone? Lol
That fool also dropped a TD because he didn’t care…
he actually scored but it happened so quick tomlin didnt challenge it because they had nobody in the booth if u watch the vid he had 3 steps then lost control when he fell on the ball
Wont have a job in the morning
He’s chase Claypools cousin
You guys have your new Chase Claypool.
Sure know how to pick ‘em!
Actually.. they sure do.. over the last 30 years that I have been watching football, Pittsburgh has been great in drafting and developing receivers and linebackers .. every year they find late round guys with ton of skill
Steelers have been one the best teams at drafting WRs going back to the 1970s & especially between 2000 and now, so yeah they do. You can’t always account for dumbasses like Claypool. Even so, look at his rookie season… I’m an Eagles fan and I can see this.
They need a therapist for that wr room
He was confused and didnt know what happened stop 😂
These athletes don’t understand how good they have it. I think we all know how this is going to end.
how
Idk about that He’s been a problem for years
I think people are just looking for a reason with him. When you slow things down you can make things look how you want them to. In his defense he did not see the play unfolding looks like he thought it was a dead ball. He only apologized because it started becoming a story line. Leave him alone. He is a good person.
Prolly thought he was down
I saw it happen before with Cam Newton in the Super Bowl.
At least he acknowledged the ball. This dude gave 0 fucks
this goes back to santonio holmes, then ab, then martavis bryant, then claypool, now this guy w/ his bs, add in pickens crying about not getting the ball. Its things like this that makes me wish hines ward was part of the coaching staff, he wouldve checked claypool last season & johnson & pickens this season & they would listen too
You’d want to give a player the benefit of the doubt usually but the replay just looks so bad. Maybe he doesn’t want to be there anymore. But if he’s being cryptic and making it a toss up to what he wants then the Steelers need to keep an eye on if this happens again cuz if it does. He doesn’t want to be there it’s blatant
My issue is he excuse what "he didn't see it because he was blocking" (which he wasn't)
But, of note, the guy who recovered the ball was his blocking assignment.
This man is unworthy of the NFL
Who would want to play with Pickett as your QB? 😅 Dude has 2 tds in last 8 games
Bro… even if you know youre not gonna catch him, you’re literally paid to sprint your ass off regardless. Also you know how many players dropped the ball before they cross the endzone ? You could be right there to pick it up if you don’t quit on live tv…
The steelers always find great receivers. I wonder if that's really the case or if they're just always willing to take all the head cases no one else wants?
randy moss like while in oakland here
He pulled a Cam Newton.
Damn you didn't have to cook him like that 🤣
Had a perfect TD pass thrown to him . Shut up and catch the ball
Play to final whistle and protect the dang football man!! And we would not be having this conversation.
Oh yeah that PT definitely getting cut!!!! Lack of effort
This game reminded me of a buddy my friend Jon had back in junior high and high school. Why do I bring this up? Not sure. But I do remember Jon's buddy's name: Cornlog.
Hopefully he gets called out in front of the team when they go over film. You owe your teammates an explanation for this shit.
Aaaand that's why hes on my fantasy bench lol
He might have thought it was a dead ball.
Maybe he thought the ball was dead...
People need to stop a whole lot of people playing in the NFL has done this if u not out there on the field u don't know to me he didn't know until the guy started running with the ball that it was live.
This boy just said I don't care man I wish I could be on that goddamn feeling get paid your money to say I don't care is better than working on a regular nine to five
When you have no excuse for being terrible at your job, just blame the media and the fans who never played the game and who believe their lying eyes.
He isn’t terrible at his job, his QB is terrible, he for sure doesn’t give a shit anymore
Coulda gave more effort but this play doesn’t even happen if coaching staff challenged the td play
I would not be surprised if he gets traded next season. That's normally how the Steelers do it and he has trade value. He would be a beast in Kansas City. Carolina needs a number one receiver.
MR.Butter fingers won't be a beast anywhere
I don’t follow this guy or this team. If he had trade value before this, then great. However, if I’m another team and I’m seeing this play, he loses all his value in my book. Football is a business and he’s not interested in working.
"I call cap"😒🤦🏾
Wendy is hiring.
You said a couple of meters. Wtf you talking about. Yards not meters and feet if anything other than yards.
How is it that the Steelers have so many diva problems ?
Different era of players. When my cousin (Ike Taylor)played, they had Troy P, Harrison, etc, who didn't disrespect the game of football. Steelers from way back, always had rough, tough players who put their heads down and balled out. They were known as "blue collar" type workers. Football always had arrogant players but this era has produced way more. Just like in the NBA.
He used to tell me stories of how they fought in the locker room when other players on the team disrespected football related things. And it never went out to the media. Handled it in house. Different times now...

@@jamirbingham4101 that L comment was enough to make you comment 🤦🏾♂️😂 sit and hold the L with me dummy
@@jamirbingham4101 😘
Or you can tell from the interview that he's not exactly a member of MENSA
At that time. He was a SELFISH PLAYER!
My coaches would tell ya to play thru the whistle. But im 43
Steelers don’t call enough plays for him
Oh so that’s why he acts like that. The Steelers better feed him the ball or else he has another meltdown or incident.
thats no damn excuse
@@b.l.9099 exactly my point. That fact he’s making 18 million this year is reason enough to keep putting in effort.
Yeah that's what is its definitely not him quitting on his team
I see why
30 yrs of great wr maybe 3 head cases...
it baffles me how the steelers continuously draft so many knucklehead receivers. Santonio holmes, Martavis Bryant, AB, JuJu, Claypool, this guy. its like a revolving door doofy receivers over there
He wants to be traded clearly the team is a dumpster fire KC will trade for him QUICK or if released he is picked up by SB contender
LOL at the idea a competitive team would want a non participant in the locker room. Dude never even started to block, and it was his assignment that picked up the ball.
if released, he clears waivers.
He's a free agent by end of the season or traded
GETTING PAID MILLIONS 😂😂😂😂
Knowumsayin?
Wants to be traded?
That’s a serious problem even if you thought the play was dead to just do nothing is sad. You play till the whistle that’s high school teaching your a 8 million paid player no excuse for this at all. DJ man gotta do better that’s bad
You actually see him look at the ball. Then everyone is running around him. He didn’t care bc he dropped about TD. He should be suspended… TOMLIN CANT CONTROL HIS TEAM
He knows it’s rigged
To the bears you go
I’d be pissed too if my QB was Kenny Pickett. The Steelers would be insane if they just had a decent QB. Shit put Baker on the Steelers and that offense would look 1000x better.
I been saying this man it’s so sad
bro stop it - pickett has NUTHIN to do with this. dj quit on the play, no excuses. period.
Selfish attitude, childish as hell
For reals this video has nothing to do with Pickett
Ban him from the league
He didn’t participate in the whole play. He didn’t even block the DB covering him.
He probably wanted the ball on that play. Selfish!
Looks like Tomlin doesn't know how to get these crybaby receivers to buy in to winning no matter how its done. Needs to sit em down n ltk it's team or bench for them . Selfish
maybe he thought he was down so he walked off 🤷♀
meanwhile the play is still going....
There is a whistle for that. Also, why didn't he start to block in the first place? Dude took the entire play off
Maybe it's time to bench him too; it seems like he doesn't have IT.
This is a Tomlin run team nowadays huh?
We will take him in Jax
If Dante Johnson doesn't want to be a steeler anymore then we'll just get rid of him like we got rid of Martavis Bryant, Antonio Brown, Chase Claypool etc... besides im sure Pickens would like that, less he has to compete with
Paid millions to play a stupid game.
He blew it over his pride.
Crazy how ppl don't get it?
Smdh.
Now that's his image.
He no longer has a career in
The NFL.
CFL here He comes
Meters
in high school or collegethey would be kicked off the team that day
Worst effort I've ever seen. If he ain't gonna hustle and fight on field then he can do just as good on the sideline! Quit dropping touchdown passes just like Pickens couple weeks ago. Pathetic
Can someone please translate his ebonics into English? Is this how a college graduate speaks?
Nah he needs to be released
WHY ARE YOU WALKING
I'm sick of these overpaid crybabys, the Steelers have the worst teammate wideouts
Isnt johnson and brown cousins..??
he made one mistake lets relax; people act like he was out hear acting a fool; he like emanuel sanders or nate washington just calm recivers
Ab 2.0
An obvious English major...
is he on something or really dont care. or both.
This is the James Harden of the NFL.
He didn’t notice. How about his td catch that Tomlin didn’t challenge ?
Lucky they won the game Lol :) That is one of the worst efforts in the game ive ever seen in any level of play.
I wonder if he thought the runner was down and it wasn’t a fumble
At first I thought that also but no. He starts walking toward the sideline. He knew they lost the ball.
That’s why you play until the whistle lmao no time to be walking around pouting on the football field
Rigged!!
Bum
Kids these days are soft and mediocre, all of em.
That's Wild. Give Me $18million and I'm DIVING for the ball whether on offense or defense EVERY Play LOL So Serious hahaha
Maybe he thought the play was over the man was down
Emotions are at play one minute way up next minute way down
Its easy for us to judge looking from afar
Yes it looks easy but we know it's very hard
Like John Wick falling hitting a balcony and landing in a shopping cart.
I can't question a mans motives or question what really in his heart.
But in the locker room they will try to get it straight or tear it all apart!
Why didn't he initialize the block in the first place? The player he was assigned to broke off of him to pick up the ball.
It wasn't that he stopped early, he never started that play.
send this shoovgie packing to the CFL
B/c he wouldn’t have recovered the fumble if he tried…..I’ll give him a pass. 🤔
I can't give him a pass.... He ain't even try tackle dude
There ain’t no pass for that…zero effort, he is a 🤡
lol the guy he was supposed to be blocking recovered the ball. Go back to the 26 second mark. He definitely has a chance of recovering that fumbl if he was paying attention
what about make the tackle? given it was his blocking assignment(who he never started to block) that broke off of him and picked up the ball.
It was right in front of him stop it dude didn't block didn't try to get the fumble he didn't even try and tackle the dB that got the ball even tho he ran right past him there's no excuse for that
How about he thought the play was dead?
but everyone is still running around....
Why didn't he start blocking in the first place? There is also typically a whistle for that.
And most importantly, his blocking assignment was the guy who picked up the ball.
Them White QBs be walking off the Field and walking away when a Turnover happen. They don't get Scalded for their Lack of Effort on Turnovers!!! Black's always gotta run and recover or tackle a defender all the time or else!!! The hell with that!
There's no response I can make that will match this level of ignorance and stupidity... I mean... "The hell with that" - what does that even mean? Youre giving a pass to this guy, because you feel white QBs get a pass doing this? Do you have an actual example or two of a QB doing THIS?? Seems like something you should be able to actually back up with some facts and evidence... And for every white QB doing it, im sure I can find you a black qb doing the same. And i can find you clips of people critiquing the white qb for quitting on his team mid play after a turnover...
Simply giving up mid play is not something that SHOULD happen in the NFL, white or black players. Have NO idea why you felt the need to randomly bring up this players race, as a defense of his abhorrent effort on this play, because "white qbs" or something...
Maybe, just maybe, race has absolutely nothing to do with this criticism for 99% of people, except weirdos like you, who obviously just look for any excuse possible to pit whites against blacks, or race against race for whatever strange justification you have to do so...
LEAVE MY COUSIN ALONE,
Thought the play was dead, then he couldn’t catch him, DJ WATCHED HIM GO DOWN.
He thought they’d blow a late whistle and it’d be dead. Players do it all the time and the play gets called back.
This one didn’t get called back, so it looks horrendous. He doesn’t have a key block and instead stood there to hold the corner.
Let em live, if he ends up on any of your teams keep that same energy when he gets yall over the hump.
3-star, to Toledo, 3rd rounds, now best receiver on the team.
You realize he was assigned to block the person who recovered the fumble?
Why didn't he start that block? He was a non participant on the entire play, and his excuse was he was blocking... the man who picked up the ball.
This is embarrassing even if there is no fumble.
He plain didn't do his job.
@@isawaakuma yes I do. But it’s not a block, it’s a dive play and DJ decided to mirror to hold the CB with him.
He turned and thought he was down, didn’t care because he thought it’s be a dead ball.
Looked at ref, looked at returner, decided nothing he can do now.
Yes it looks horrendous and it is indeed a load, but it aint like he just doesn’t want to play or he isn’t a winner.
Bum play
@@jaylong4705 yes, it is a bum PLAY. Not a bum player.

Can I get a translator please.
"I CALL CAP"!! HILARIOUS FROM RHE WHITEST AND GAYEST DUDE EVWR
Wow your rascist asf

He didn't give up on the play lol he probably thought Warren was already down and the play was dead and the Bengals were just doing what they do and running the ball back. Why waste energy risk injury on a dead play? Anyone who has played two games of organized football has seen a play like this
Uhhhh the whistle didn’t blow, so how the hell do you not know the play was not over?
@@jimjones781 the whistle don't always blow at first ..he clearly thought the play was dead and the Bengals were overreacting
He walked the running play and didn’t block in the first place.
