Lost In The Poolrooms is a visual and chill vaporwave mix obviously ambiented in the poolrooms, since i first heard of it I always imagine this place to be something like this: an eerie but yet very calm place to chill in.
I do apologize for the bad quality of the video in some parts, but i got to say that it was already tested and approved (if you know what i mean

I wish these places were real. Clean, ordered, with warm water to wade through or swim through. Perhaps float on your back for a while. Explore. No over-stimulation, just calm and relaxing and endless for as long as you want.
sounds good
When I die, I would like to wander around endless poolrooms forever, with no cares in the world
Like being the only one in the hotel pool.
Backrooms and vaporwave goes together so well.
In many ways the Backrooms embody the core themes of vaporwave as a genre
The poolrooms is especially a perfect match for vaporwave (specifically slushwave) - basically made for each other.
Even classic '80s songs fit with the backrooms and poolrooms
yes my friend they do 😌
I really wish they were real, I would enjoy just exploring them until I died.
I don't know that it's universal, but I like to imagine everyone agrees on the Poolrooms being a generally safe place. No monsters or baddies... Just, an endless hall of rooms where you can feel safe, calm, and comforted. As someone who can get overwhelmed by a bunch of stimuli and would want something lesser yet still stimulating, the strangely nostalgic Poolrooms are endlessly comforting in that aspect. If I could be there any time I want, and leave when I have the time, I would want to visit there currently.
i 100% feel u. i really like the thought of wandering around these rooms for long periods of time. just away from all the trouble and stress. just having dreams like this would already soothing af i would think.
Depends what happened in people’s past I suppose
@@davidreynolds3709 Very true!
I completely agree. I don't like when people constantly want to insert entities and monsters and threats to every liminal space/backroom. To me the poolrooms are a place of calmness, reflection and peace, to leave all your fears and insecurities far away and exist in a place outside of time and space to clear your mind and feel refreshed.
ya i'd be down to swim in the poolrooms...but on second though, imagine a sea-doo in there
I’ve dreamt of this place so many times. Even before it became an aesthetic phenomenon. I can smell the chlorine.
i wish i had dreams like this. love these vibes
OH MY GOD SAME.
me too, tho it wasnt like this, it was not a closed structure, it was a big place, with a lot of pools, it was not scary, actually it was relaxing and calm
I can feel the water and small tiles... And the color... So blue from afar when you get into the water, it's all clear that you can feel the warmth of the sun soaking in the water and wet tiles...
Can anyone open a liminal space park??
Yeh
I grew up having dreams about spaces like these and they were always so calming and ethereal. Usually I could see out the windows and it was always a vast desert, like these were safe oasis in the middle of nowhere. I'm so happy these types of renders have caught on as an aesthetic! Let's all float around in the pool rooms
Nice dreams
Poolrooms without monsters would be a great place to be in, and exploring.
Even if it is empty, it's gorgeous!
@@anafro_runice place for a party. If only other ppl were there…

All those tiles, and not a speck of mildew anywhere on them. Pristine. Serene. Beautiful.
This connects me with my inner child i dont know why
same! i used to dream this exact scene when i was a kid
I'm slightly high so don't listen to me but what if life is like a simulation and the Backrooms/Poolrooms are just the waiting lobby for reality and they are the only thing we see before we are born. Those memories are deleted superficially, but they are still stored somewhere in our brains so we are randomly able to remember them
@@VanWolf I do think that life is a simulation indeed, but i remembering being a kid, listening to music or specificaly Wave-synth like sounds, and feeling something in my stomach, that take my to places like this, like some kind of meditation deep inside me that only triggers with certain sounds, weird shit i know, and sorry for the bad english im not a native speaker XD
I'm so glad others speak about seeing places like this in their dreams. I've always loved liminal spaces and I often dream about them. The pool with the spiral stairs is so similar to one I've had dreams about for years
Me too
Lots of creepy pasta games going on, kinda wish someone would just make a walking simulator for pool rooms and other vaporous realms.
Not all forms of the afterlife have to be heaven or hell. Maybe it's just, kinda nice
Imagine a game with procedurally generated maps, all about pools and vaporwave music...
@@endersteph Spot on recommendation. This is the only backrooms game I enjoy, because it's basically the only one where you aren't chased by entities (which go against the original spirit of the backrooms). Also, patrician taste liking the poolrooms the most - it truly is the best one.
I wish someone would make an actual Pool Room amusement park!
@@maximilianwilley8410 I have this day dream, as a rich man, buying an old mall and rennovating it (spelling? sry lol) to be like an art gallery of different liminal vapor spaces sown together. Would have lots of rooms for dancing/lounging. I want to open a future funk night club so bad lol

I wouldn't mind being lost there right now, so long as I have this soundtrack playing 😌
Not for too long anyways
I’d be happy to be lost in there for hours! As long as the water is a nice temp and we got this dope soundtrack playing. Do places like this exist?!
45:55 are you sure 😭
@@ginopepinoo fucking scary, imagine if you’re there and the mysterious monster climbs up to get you, hell that’s scary.
@@scamhunter2346 There's no need for monsters. It is horrifying enough to be lost and unable to find the way back out. You would eventually starve.

Wow, that's awesome... In the 90s when I was child I often had dreams/visions about being lost in some endless places... I was always alone. And usually it was a pool.. Endless pool where almost everything was white and the water was cyan... There also were some mystery black holes in the wall just like in this video. Everything was beautiful but also creepy a little bit. Now, I have just found this content in the internet. It's amazing, I have never expected this.
I love the moment in 46:25. That shadow monster not trying to kill you, but bragging about it's super cool jetski that it owns and you're not allowed to have a go on.
45:55 I almost had a heart attack. I would rather there were no monsters in video such like this.
@@jacekplacek4690 Yeah, dude, that one did get me too. :)
I actually love the fact that you put visuals behind the music it makes it so much more relaxing
for some reason i really like the idea of being in these pool rooms all by myself... and wandering around for eternity, while listening to soothing dreamy music like this. i dont know why, but this gives me goosebumps
it gives me goosebumps too, i love the feeling of being in a world so unlike ours.
Same but I don't wanna wander around for eternity
Liminal spaces have always been comforting to me. I know a whole community is formed around backrooms, but th se spaces are my safe space. There are very few pieces of media ehich really convey that comfort i personally feel. Thank you for making this, i really needed it.
I was extremely stressed when I got the idea to listen to weirdcore/poolroom songs. Calmed me down a lot, especially the first song, so serene and relaxing
the surreality is strong with this one....
bro... when I started this up I wasn't expecting to hear the desert sand feels warm at night that I listen to everyday. I'm in total shock because I hummed it loud while on a different tab before this video started up. Also, I woke up from a dream where I am on a cruise ship and I entered a poolroom for the first time. second time dreaming of the cruise ship tho. Surreal. Cheers to Existential Crisis!
also I woke up at 5:39 AM
That sounds like an amazing vibe
Dude, same on the first bit. Such an excellent choice for an opener, both here and on the album.

I swear I once dreamed of poolrooms when I was very young. This dream marked me so much that I remembered it all my life. It was really close to the footage displayed here. Amazing.

As a very young kid, I remember swimming in the neighborhood pool - eventually I overcame my fear of the deep in, until I once got too close to the pool drain. My dad told me once "Don't get that close to the drain ever again - it'll suck all the guts out your asshole like a vacuum, and you'll drown." I still have an occasional nightmare about pool drains as a full grown man, and typically those dreams take place in areas like this. It's so weird that these sort of pool-rooms renderings became popular. I suppose we are all more alike than we think, and our brains tend to portray certain scenarios, such as large pools, in similarly dramatic fashion for all of us. Almost as if all of our brains are AI's synced together, producing the same weird, unnerving, uncanny-valley type imagery. That's why I find shit like this so fascinating. It's a visualization I once thought deeply personal, only to realize we're all more alike than we think.
What your dad told you sounds exactly like the pool scene from Final Destination. I saw that scene as a little kid on youtube and it scared the shit out of me lol
I think this is actually a real thing.
@@Bocqurant I recalled it as well, but to me it was just unpleasant to watch. That also can be felt when you're watching how's someone suffering in desperation, like in some other movies, you know. Plus, the ways how such scenes were shown in the franchise kinda made me think more about danger even from some usual things. I mean, it's not that fear, but still something you can't just throw outa your mind at all, like it could happen for real...
my therapist diagnosed me with MDD today and I don't really know how to feel. On one hand I feel terrible for admitting to the fact that my depression has sunk me deep enough to the point its disrupting my day-to-day life and on the other I want to submit to my knees and let it destroy my body. thank you for uploading this video, it reminds me of a safe place even though the poolrooms may not even be a safe place. cheers.

Why does this resonate so deeply within me?! The visuals the music i can almost smell the chlorine and hear the overhead lights softly buzz away.
Does the light not seem like natural sunlight? I always see it that way. I didnt realize that people might see it as artificial light completely indoors.
@@katrinauchitel Oh don't get me wrong the sunlight is cast beautifully however where there are rooms with no windows i envision the florescent lights doing they're thing.
It's supposed to.
@@katrinauchitel I have always seen it as artificial lights
Just because I feel like the backrooms arent on this earth, nothing you could reach normally
Nothing in reality
Maybe just something in my mind
This reminds me of a spa that I went to when I was really small. Each bath would have its own fragrance and when you spoke, there was an echo.
i remember vividly, always being afraid of the giant filters in the pool the big grates and stuff. and i also vividly remember having dreams where i would be in aplace like this, avoiding them to not be sucked in, and other times i was just swimming. this is so nice to vibe too.
Dreamt about this place many times, wrote poetry about it, now here it is
Incredible visuals. So serene and beautiful, but off-putting all at once! I think the poolrooms have become part of my headspace when I meditate/dream…
I remember a funny little occurrence when I first played this mix. I'd been listening to Desert Sand's album, New World Disciples frequently as background around then. If I'm remembering correctly, the first track was somehow playing in my head *before* I had read the tracklist. I wasn't expecting it to be in here, much less to be the first track. It was so surreal hearing it practically come out of my head and enter my ears.
this is your afterlife. forever. alone. it may not be your hell, but someone else couldn't possibly imagine it. still, it seems like nice place to spend an eternity. no one to fight or bicker with. to trip out in such a place shouldn't be magical, but combine it with some vaporwave, it sure feels like it.
10:21 - great. I didn’t need to sleep anyway
Excelent visuals, i even could say that is the best quality pool rooms graphics ever seen, and i ve seen a lot of pools rooms videos (love it) it it only was hig frame rate insted of the low speed efect if will be mind blowing,, I will check for the sources you put in description.
Great job kepp it up!
There are more pool room vids? Is this a thing? Oh my what will I dig into...😵🤤
i wont mind being stuck there forever as long as i dont get hungry or feel any emotion except euphoria.
Same bro
Vaporwave and the Poolrooms go together like PB&J, so it was only a matter of time before someone did a mix like this.
Wow!
In the early 2000’s, (I was like 2 or 3), my family stayed at a hotel with a pool that had vibes like this.
amazing feelings, the good side of visual and auditive sense
You can get to the Poolrooms if you submerge yourself for too long in a body of water while you're alone, though there have been some cases when submerged suddenly and unexpectedly, regardless of the presence of others. Some have even said if you aren't careful while using a water slide, you can slip down an alternate path that ends up there.
You surface in the endless watery limbo. White tile walls and a slight chlorinated smell, like a hotel pool, are what greet you. Everything is slightly damp and the air is humid, but warm, so you never feel cold despite your clothes that never seem to dry, or lack thereof. Bright skylights illuminate some of the rooms with what seems like sunlight, though it never ends and has no obvious source. In other rooms, celling lights stay lit, emitting a familiar buzz. If you concentrate on it for just long enough you swear you smell mildew.
Unlike the Backrooms, this space has nothing, nothing but water and tile. Sometimes, when you stay completely still, you swear you hear a splash echo from a far off pool, or the sound of wet feet upon tile. Any attempt to follow the winding bodies of water, either through a tunnel or slide, just lead to that, more water, and more tile. The lucky ones can find a way back by the methods that got them there, if they're very, very, lucky. Be warned, you don't always find yourself back in the body of water you started in.
The grinning face at 10:24 is creepy.
I don't want to be left alone with that thing in there with me.
I’m gonna just keep playing this on a loop all day okay
this is genuinely perfect ambience - it's great
ultimate retro visuals and music, strange nostalgia, longing to explore all the pools
This is my favorite Playlist of poolrooms music I've listened to it easily over a hundred times over the past year so thank you for the compilation and introducing me to fm skyline and others
I really thought that this place only existed in my mind.
this is so, so gorgeous. thank you
It is even 69 minutes
I don't know what it is but I can't stop coming back to this one, it's become my go to calm down music. Good job putting this all together i thought it was an album when i first heard it.
I knew this was desert sand feels warm at night. I had one of the craziest nights to that album, good timesssss
bro in 15:55 there is a voice who said no te vas so many time that means you are not leaving OMG that so creppy
I had a dream once, before this was an aesthectic. That i was diving into the deepest pool I have ever seen and it was so calming, I got to the bottom of an endless tunnel and stayed there for a minute, felt peaceful
I love this video and music. What I find so strange is that there is no light source in any of this footage, just light coming out of nowhere.
I could go on forever, and keep exploring, hiding, and pretending to keep track, while only getting more forgotten. I'll have to forgive myself for being so curious and ambitious, for this is my destiny.
It is kinda chill watching this with music. Even make me want to be there.
But I just realize how scary this can be withouth any music.
Just imagine be there, complete silence.
Maybe a littlebit of water splasing.
But nothing else.
Especially walking around the dark pools.
Gymnopédie is just amazing
This video was a great mix of calming, creepy, and sometimes melancholic. Well done.
I cannot tell if this is real but I am sure at the same time that it is not. But its realistic that you can think it is!!! What program is this render done with? I love it!
you could do this with unity(easiest), blender(probably), and unreal(prettiest)
Ever since I was little I would have dreams sometimes of wading through pools like these in mysterious areas. I remember running from a shark in one of them.
I feel like this was taken right out of a shared human dream.
I did it, I finally found the perfect study music for me.. Ty🤝
this is exactly what i needed.
Its like a dream of all your memories of pools mashed together
Easily the best vaporwave mix on yt. I’m gonna be honest, I never liked vaporwave but these songs are so trippy and vibey. Where can I find more good vaporwave (that isn’t just elevator music slowed with reverb)?
Take the artists in the description and look for more of their work. Then find similar artists.
Very fitting visuals for excellent music.

This place looks like a liability nightmare-and that was _before_ the monsters...
There aren’t supposed to be any monsters in classical Backrooms, nor (I personally believe) should there be any monsters specifically in the poolrooms. Huge turbines and underwater passages and endless dark depths, slippery flooring and stairs, perhaps the occasional hazardous liquid instead of water, etc.

You begin to lose awareness of time, has it been hours? Days? Weeks? All you know is you will leave when you choose, when you are ready, before long you forget you ever needed to eat or drink, the concept of a body seems to somehow elude your mind, in fact now you don't need anything, all your worries wash away, you start to forget who you are, but is that really important? You unconciously begin to let go of the self, this feels natural, effortless, you feel the weight of what was plummit to the bottom of the clear water, faded memories of the past gradually slip away and now become fleeting in brief sparks of thought occasionally, so far away at the edges of your mind you half believe them to be fiction, you're not sure, have you always been here? The relevance of questions like this begin to wane in your thoughts, now occupied purely in the serene state of only being, the sound of the gentle water flowing through you, you are at peace, real peace, nothing else matters.
You decide to stay just a bit longer.

The backrooms are nothing like they used to be. Now you see all these memes and monsters, but back then, the backrooms were nothing but endless rooms. No exiting, no monsters, nothing coming to get you, just you alone in an endless space with nobody to greet you, nothing to kill you, only you and the sound of the things around you. True horror arent all these monsters, or all these things and traps coming to get you, no, true horror in this aspect is being completelty alone and cut off from every way of communication with nobody to be with in your journey, for eternity.
