That nostalgic smell that must of us know from a pool is due to the chemicals that are inside the pool, such as chlorine, that are used to preserve the body of water so it doesn’t get contaminated. The specific nostalgic smell is due to the chemical reaction of chlorine with urine. So if you ever get into this pool section of the backrooms and it smells that nostalgic feeling, you either took a piss in the pool or…you are not alone…

I remember a funny little occurrence when I first played this mix. I'd been listening to Desert Sand's album, New World Disciples frequently as background around then. If I'm remembering correctly, the first track was somehow playing in my head *before* I had read the tracklist. I wasn't expecting it to be in here, much less to be the first track. It was so surreal hearing it practically come out of my head and enter my ears.
