In DCI you can train post barracks event units before the barracks event in castles, and that is what sets them apart from cities
This sounds like a cool feature for dac and it incentivizes taking high tier castles

@@galvatron0810 Well, the AI already favours troop buildings in castles in v5, and it is quite balanced already.

Why none other than Legend does the cheese where you siege with just a General and have your army right next to trigger the AI to attack, but instead siege cities/castles out for that lot of turns ?
Coz it's exactly that, cheese, exploiting, etc. Galu wants to PLAY the game, not exploit it. He isn't a min-maxer, he's said this many times :)
If you are so bad at the game that you'd need to do that, you should really look up cheat codes.
Legend is a special case, somehow he likes to play the most boring way possible, with max amount of tryharding, vs an incompetent AI. It's pathetic imo.
@@jamaly77 Dude honestly, have you ever seen DaC garrisons ? To be fair garrisons in this one seem just alright. But the case is that I don't like sieges as much and on most of my plays I go agressive. Quick expansion brings in more power and cash on your war chest, from the men you lose to the capture of a new settlement. Also the quicker you become a powerful faction makes the AI to avoid attacking you, and that's helpful when already fighting a War with another faction already. It's another type of strategy. If I waned to use actual cheats guess what, I know them and how to use them.
@@jamaly77 Also I lose essential time if sieging out a settlement for 7-8 turns until it falls or the AI draws out to fight me. If I can take them I ll try to draw them on the field. If its a siege of up to 3-4 turns maybe I will wait. Otherwise I will siege a key settlement or choke point as long as it takes in order to just buy me time and prevent more AI spam stacks coming with Fury against me. Does this make me a bad player then or different from you ?

There is a mod called "Expanded Americas" (wiki.twcenter.net/index.php?title=Expanded_Americas) which includes mercenary dog units - imported from rome total war.
Maybe that helps to get Angmar some nice wolves?

Have to say, as much as i respect DaC's map (and the mod itself of course!) I do love the smaller, tighter representation of middle earth. it makes the settlements feel more significant, reduces the sometimes overwhelming travel times and just makes things less of a slog overall. I've seen a few comments along the lines of 'this needs DaC's map' and i couldn't disagree more - MOS had it without enough factions to fill the space and it just got silly very quickly. To each mod its own as far as maps go!
Also it's very pretty in its own way :D

Yes Galu, that's true, Elven units are not OP, having similar stats than the rest, but problably as I saw in Izzy campaings the Elves at least have a kind of a Morale boost comparing with Orcs.
It seems that you never played Valkyrie Chronicles, the units designs are pretty simple, even the Valkyries themselves, the last Robin Hood movie should have copied their aesthetic if their wanted a medieval feel with "modern" technology. There is no cavalry units, but your storm troopers have the same function, charge to the enemy and destroy them by machine-gun fire.
Does Divide & Conquer and The Last Alliance have the bodyguard switch sub mod?

How does the AI in general handle split kingdoms? I haven’t played anything besides DAC for a while and there aren’t any kindgoms that are split (besides the elves and they tend to turtle). Can the ai handle it or does it end up being awkward? Do they handle themselves like separate kingdoms or do they do what gondor does in DAC and send all it’s forces to one flank/side?
Hi all, just looking for some tips.
How do you play effectively with factions that have a lot of trash units? I’ve been playing the Wild Northmen campaign and I find my armies seriously outclassed by all of my enemies. Would be helpful for some extra tips on Javelin heavy factions too, which they have a lot of
Don't fight orcs! They can even defeat the elves in direct combat!

Well, other than the most players i will never play a Faction like the "Exiled Kingdoms" in DCI. Beside the fact that i love the Culture and the style... good looking always matters dont judge me, i hate it to play HUGE Factions from beginning. No matter what game it ist. Starting with a fishing villiage and BECOME a Kingdom, thats it. :P

The armored cavalry is exactly Byzantine cavalry from Med Kingdoms.Complete with the purple feather. No work was done there.
The sound is great, far better than before. I was pretty annoyed by it, not gonna lie, it just felt rude saying so.
The peaks are a bigger issue on higher quality sound systems that don't automatically compress audio, which may explain why some heard a problem and some didn't. It's much better like this, glad you've fixed it.
You've always had great content btw, the audio thing was always minor!

I dont understand why i never thought Elrond was badass before, but im beginning to change my mind.. I guess it was because i only saw the movies and the actor for Elrond felt so familiar and non-unique that i thought nothing of him. Like, i didnt see him as "Elrond", but as "oh, the matrix guy is playing an elf this time".
in dac you can do same with barracks event from castles, also if you want you can replace castles and towns of your choice to make troops trainable in settlements you want to balance game if you need
How do you install the mod? Since when I downloaded the installer, I can’t install them my pc said that it’s a dangerous software.

where does the difficulty come from in playing as the United Kingdoms? they seem too numerous, should they have been made separate factions?
I think it might be a case that if you mess up the early fight against Mordor you could quickly lose much of Gondor, having to then fight your way south in order to reclaim it from Arnor. But yes I do fear that if you are on the ball and play those early battles very well it could be a cakewalk.
You have many potential fronts - Mordor, Harad, Wildmen, Hillmen and Men of the Mountains who may backstab you.
If you finish this...will you do other factions?
