    I love the short game part of golf, chips and lobs etc, the creativity around the greens, using slopes etc. Loft is mist definitely your friend in the situation you was in there and realising what is possible from bad lies is a big part of the amateur game, not trying thd "career shot" Me, personally, I love a bump and run with my 9i 👍🏻👍🏻😂😂

    Great tips Matt, I see you’re demonstrating with the Callaway Chrome Soft Truvis balls which I love especially around the green for great control 👍🏻P.S - my playing partners often comment how easy they are to see when in the rough or amongst leaves which is another reason I like them.

    Great video, Matt..... Any tips on building confidence with that? I've learned this year to just commit to the swing.... The fear always becomes that if I skull it with that swing, it's flying over the green - which has often happened. Any advice on how to overcome that?

    Hi Matt, great video :)
    Would you be able to do a video on the difference between a $1 golf ball and a premium golf ball. Can a low handicapper play a $1 golf ball and still shoot low scores.
    Also videos on shooting under 70, 80, 90 and 100.
    Thanks Matt for the great videos :)

    Hi Matt, what bounce does your wedge have ?

  • @Rich-in6ds
    @Rich-in6ds 2 года назад

    I find opening the face slightly as recommended here makes it really hard to aim the chip since the club loft is now pointing right.

    I used to have PW and a 52. The 52 has about 4-5 degrees of bounce. Recently got a 56 that has 11. Any tips on hitting quarter to half swings on the 56 on tight lies? Really tired of the bounce catching on little picks and causing me to blade the ball

    It's ok advice but not the best. Good chipping and pitching needs active wrists in my opinion. This doesn't seem to be the mantra for teachers of golf. That last lie out of thicker rough around the green requires that you DON'T stub the club into the ground This would cause the ball to shoot past the hole, which is what happened. With a sand or lob wedge make a long and SLOW downward stroke into the ball with active wrists trying to follow through a few inches. The ball will pop out softly with less roll.( Source- Jack Nicklaus)

    Why is it so common that the creators of these instructional videos speak with nonstop, run on sentences, and take so long to get to the point? There’s enough to remember in golf, so to burden the viewer with 95 points of emphasis is going to result in early exits.
