Cracked me up with the 1 foot of the fairway ' you should not be here '
That's where I play all my golf from ☺️
Possibly the best ever video on YT, for us recreational golfers/higher HCer's! It can be so easy to misjudge the rough and the club/shot selection. Very good 👍
More videos of real life situations like this would be appreciated. They stick in the mind!
Hoenestly one of the best videos i have watched so far about different lies and club selection. Very well done
Your ears must have been burning. I was searching how to get out of that long stuff the other day and couldn't find a decent video!! I broke 90 for the first time yesterday thanks to yourself and a few other youtubers. Thanks for all the advice.
Wow, keep your lessions in the same direction coming! Very interesting and thnks for that.
Haha i can really see myself using the hybrid in all lies 😂
Great lesson, will implement this next time I play, Matt cheers! 👍🏻
You are always so sensible with your playing. I never have enough of the “medicine” you speak of! This is a great video.
Mr. Amazing! Thank you for this easy to follow lesson.
great vid to help regular golfers, really helpful! Also congrats on the content/video progress you've made over 2020 Matt!
Really good video Matt, just the lesson I needed🏌🏽♂️⛳💚
Fantastic video mate!! Keep em coming
Excellent video! These on course trainings are extremely helpful, keep going🙏🏻🏌️😃👍
Great information to know, thanks for the lesson!
OH MATT!!! This was the ABSOLUTE BEST video lesson so far. I should watch it before I go out to play! I have made all these mistakes - and on the course you usually don´t get a chance to try another better club.
Thank you Matt, Every good tips
All great videos, thanks Matt 👍🏻
Great video Matt. Very helpful and informative. Cheers mate.
Brilliant,..i am the ‘use hybrid for every shot’ guy 😂😂
Thank you - watch every video - you are a great help!
Really helpful lesson thanks, loving the lob wedge would normally take 7 iron.
Good lesson Matt. Audio quality and narration was nice and clear in this one, well done!
Very good review. I had a conversation with a friend on just this situation last week. Proper club selection, especially to get out of trouble is so important and so many make mistakes on this. I have thought long and hard on this and my club selection has been getting better and shots more successful . This tutorial is a good reminder about all of this. Well done Matt. Joe
Thank you. There were do many times where I used fairway wood on scenario 2 n never end well. Thank you . I love these type of lessons.
As a beginner, this is priceless, practical guidance. Thank You! SUBSCRIBED!
Great video and recommendations! I'll be thinking of these tips next time I'm out. I'm sure it will help reduce those stupid mistakes that cost me strokes.
Great lesson Matt, really helpful tips for a new golfer who often finds themselves in these lies (like myself...)
Great wee video there Matt......thanks. Keep the tips coming..👍⛳️
Matt, I really LEARN from your simplified instruction, I will take this knowledge of hitting out of diffetent roughs. I saw the MISTAKES I've been making, chosing the WRONG CLUB, and refusing to take my MEDICINE, and get the ball SAFELY back into play, I take MESS, and make it a BIGGER MESS
Great tips; I tended to follow your club advice on all my rough grass shots but not the weight distribution. I will do so from now on of course
Cheers
Wonderful tips that I can use all the time. Glad I found you ... you have a new subscriber!
I have been watching so many of your videos and it has really improved my game so i have decided to not be lazy and just clicked on that subscribe button. You are a genius. Love your content and way of presenting. Thanks Matt
First time I have seen a video on this topic. Great! Thanks.
Great video Matt, thanks for the advice
Great video - cheers Matt !
GREAT VIDEO!!! Very informative...
Great video Matt. Well done!
One of the most sensible golf tip videos out there Matt and key to the sort of course management that lowers scores. One of my 4ball last week hit his drive into semi rough. He chose to take a fairway metal to it - big mistake! He went from semi rough to more semi rough, just 10yds away. And as his second shot had landed with a slightly better lie, he kept the fairway metal in his hand. He went into heavier rough and ‘dinged’ the hole.
Super video Matt. Loads of awesome tips. Thanks 👍🏌🏽♂️
Finally! A great video addressing the various lies and the clubs and thought process to save strokes. Thank you.
Great video! Explained so many situations so we'll. Thanks!
I've been watching a lot of golf videos. Between Rick Sheils and him. These two are great at explaining golf shots. Thanks to these two. I have improved
Thanks Matt.
Will be using this A LOT!
Congrats on winning the 1 Iron challenge.
You should make that an annual event.
Great advice thanks Matt
That was superb advice! Thanks
Im new to golf this is my third summer, so probably my biggest problem is what club i should be using in the various bad situations. This video has immense value.
After watching a few of Matt's videos, I'd say his are the most useful, practical, and helpful I've seen. Great stuff Matt!
Very informative and useful video. Thanks for sharing
Very good advice Matt, explained it very well. Thx
Great instruction. Well put. 👍🏌⛳🇺🇸😀
Love your videos Matt keep it up thumbs up
Great video Matt, thanks
Great stuff Matt thanks
Hi matt, great advice, I was lucky to be given that advice during a playing lesson with my pro, take your medicine and don't try the career shot 🤣🤣👍🏻👍🏻 it helped get a par/bogey and on occasions a birdie instead of double/triple bogeys
This is excellent, thank you.
You're a great teacher. Very well presented.
Great advice for a high handicap like me.
I vuole match the mistake to what I normally do, and will be of Great help for the future.
Great video! Thanks!
Thank you for your video. It's the best explanation I've seen in all my years. Again my thanks!!
Another great lesson matt. I'm guilty of trying to play the world beater shots!!! Need to limit my expectations. Keep up the good work.
Great content and production these mate! Really informative!👍🏻
Much appreciated!
Good stuff Matt. Seems so logical but I’ve been using the wrong way too often.
Great idea for a video, and not often covered.
So true. I've seen my buddy time and time again try to use his FW to get out of the rough. The club hoods as it hits the grass and the ball travels left back in the rough advancing about 20 yards.
Great advice right there Matt 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Great Vid, Matt, the very best on the web; plenty to think about. Getting out of the rough always seems to give away those strokes., Thank you.
knowledge is good, i can use this, thnx.
Brilliant video! This will save me a couple strokes for sure!
Great video thank you!
Brilliant Matt, so simple 👌👌👌
Always practical, helpful, and realistic. I have found that in the short rough that I can hit my hybrid under the ball (literally) and it pops up and just goes a few feet. Maybe a 7 iron is the better choice than even though it is sitting up nicely...
Thanks for sharing.
The way you explain things and situations is awesone and very easy and friendly to understand.
You just helped me solve a lot of questions. Regards from Mexico. Thanks
Very helpful. Thank you!
Best regards from Germany
Excelente tips Matt!
Great video of these different ball lies. You just got yourself a new subscriber
Great info good sir. I have just been learning this the past few years. Makes a huge difference in one's attitude as well.
Absolutely!
Different class matt. Am just getting bk into it. I stopped playing about 7 years ago competitively and a was 4.7. Av played about 25 different courses since they opened again and av had a couple under par and level the last few weeks. Ma game has been getting better every game a play but u finchy and shiels have been an absolute pleasure to watch and have made ma game alot better. Keep doing what uz are doing. Would love to get a game wae u guys.
Cheers Matt great vid I often do them mistakes my self thinking iam brooks koepka and can just power it to the green well that stop from here on out
Excellent video, made me think about my club selection.
Thank you Matt!!!
Excellent instructions
Great video. I need to right this all down. The small changes at setup are so key and when I'm not happy about being in the long stuff I make bad decisions...
What a great video. Some videos people put up are courses of immaculate condition with roughs like slightly long fairways. This video really shows how not to play with your ego, which to be fair, in this sport is so easy to do.
great video, i can now escape the rough :-)
thanks Matt
Great vid will use this tomorrow
I've been really struggling out of the rough. I knew about not trying to use a wood but had no idea what technique or stance I needed. I've been trying to play it like a normal iron shot and cursing when it would only go a few yards, usually still remaining in the rough. This is really helpful, thanks Matt!
Real golf advice thanks
Great video Matt!
This was a great one.
Bro you read my mind! I’ve been thinking about my own poor club choices on the course lately. Definitely needed this video! Thanks, Matt!
Happy to help!
I'm currently trying to break 100 for the first time. This is something that will make all the difference, I managed 5 pars last time out and went 37 over on the other 13 holes. Avoiding blow up holes of 4+ over is the biggest thing for me
It's those bloody blow holes, man can I relate!
Brilliant lesson!
Really helpful info. Thank you!
Glad it was helpful!
great lesson Matt will keep everything in mind
Glad to hear it!
Great lesson!!
Great lesson!
Brilliant video!
A bit worrying that a golfer as good as you should take FOUR drives and get none on the fairway! But, fair dos, they all went the same distance. Seriously though, a great tutorial! Practical advice for common situations that we can all use. (Amazing tip about the lob wedge!) Thanks Matt, instant sub!
Sound advice Matt. Recognising the difference, in the rough lie, is significant to the shot afterwards. This one is going in my memory. Great stuff.
