Remember when iD Software tried to ruin Mick Gordon's career and tried to blacklist him from working in the industry? And he had to spend months doing research and legal stuff to clear his name?
ID Software makes good games, but the way they treated Mick Gordon was disgusting.

mick gordon constantly steals from metal bands when it comes to riffs . meat riding him is not a good thing. the main DOOM 2016 theme has stole entire riff from GOD SEED - AWAKE. and yes he is known for stealing riffs from not known bands.

Also, anybody who pays regular attention to movie box office will know that almost ALL movies have been struggling for the past couple of years. Its not just 1 film that bombed. I think alot of people are just waiting to watch at home on streaming.
So far in 2024 no film has earned over $100m on its opening weekend and I think the last film to do that was Barbie.

Still, Gotham Knights was still an average to above average game at best but that’s crazy how people were like “Rocksteady save us” after GK came out.

I want to see Furiosa, but I'm not in a good financial situation at the moment. Theaters have mostly been cut out of my budget. The only reason I got to see Dune Part 2 in theaters was because I had other family with me who paid for my ticket.

Alex, you can customize SMs in COOP operations, so you can play Dark Angels etc. Also medieval Doom i essentialy Hexen or Heretic. I think "Doom Dark Ages" is just internal project name. Remember that last year Spencer was wearing Hexen T-shirt in one of panels.

I'm going to be honest, ticket prices + cost of living increases + concession prices + vastly improved home-theater systems + cheap large screen TVs with resolution as good as a theater's = I'll wait for it to come to a steaming service.
EDIT: I'm honestly not that excited for another DOOM game. I didn't like Doom Eternal, though I loved Doom 2016. Eternal leaned too hard toward Quake-style run'n'gun and multiplayer-style powerups and pickups. It felt like the single player was stitched together from multiplayer maps, with only the barest effort given to its story. At several points it felt like this was actually one of the possible ideas they had for the Doom reboot before going with what they would release in 2016. I'll likely pass on this.
I legit don't get why people love theaters. I saw people literally crying that they could watch something again in a theater once the pandemic was over and it still confuses me. They have dirty seats, annoying people who don't turn off phones or STFU, and overpriced food. Why not just stay home in comfy pajamas and watch something off Amazon?

Seeing Apple forced to make changes under EU law brings a warm smile to my face. Mind you, Apple finally letting emulators on the storefront has been a Godsend. And also, Doom going medieval would cool. There have plenty of old school shooters that have medieval or crystal punk settings. It can work. And, since iD won't be working with Mick Gordon anytime soon for the soundtrack, they could always hire Sonic Mayhem to do the music.
I wanted Charlize Theron back as Furiosa. And the Trailer looked odd.
Anyone that has not played Doom Eternal, go play it, it is fantastic! What iD did with the speed and soundness of gameplay is just jaw dropping.
Honestly? The DOOM reboots aren't that good. I'll stick with the originals. At least they're fun with damn good music (except for one of them because it's mostly ambience).

I really liked it, but the public's perception on Prequels, especially one that looks so similar and brings back so many actors from Fury Road, maybe people saw it as a Cash Grab like Ghostbusters. Let's hope word of mouth spreads and it ramps up, it deserves it.

Completely agree, and I doubt there's some Steam employee paying attention to the account life and activity of every user to see that someone has been playing games for 100+ years(if Steam is still around by then). I have over 600 games in my library, my account is worth a couple thousand dollars between games, inventory and achievements. Some of my Steam friends have even more than that. I have a collector friend who has 3k+ games. So Valve can suck it, cuz some of us have spent serious bank and time on our accounts to just let them fade away into oblivion.
Wouldn't have to worry about any of that if you simply owned physical copies. All digital era is designed around you owning absolutely nothing. At least with physical copies, it's yours, you own it as a physical good. Keep a box of cds of all your favorites, trust me it will be worth it my friend. Hope your son gets to enjoy your games one day regardless

As for The Sims 4: I think complaints just started stacking up because it went Free to Play, and before that point, while surely it had a lot of players, it probably wasn't AS overwhelming as it would be today with so many more people playing it and finding out the issues. - You can't ignore the context and dynamic of that.

I saw dozens of ads for Furiosa, and I still couldn't tell what the fuck the film was actually about. I already didn't care about the Furiosa character in general, I am a STAUNCH Mad Max fan, but why tf should I care about Furiosa? So the advertising had to JUSTIFY why I should want to watch this film, and all I got out of it was "her childhood was bad maybe, and Chris Hemsworth is shirtless". That was it. The ads gave me literally nothing. The fact that the advertising for fucking Bad Boys 4 was more effective at justifying itself than Furiosa is ridiculous to me.

The 9 year gap from Mad Max Furry Road was a big problem, the hype was so big for years but 9 years is a long time.
You see the same problem with games, some gaps are to long and you lose the fans as they age out.
Watch them add a second ship stamina bar somehow.
Just so everyone knows, not all the sims4 dlc is required to make your game good just look up the best dlcs and get those, it’s usually seasons at number one followed by a few that change places but not all of them are required to make your game fun. I’ve spent 500 plus hours on TS4 so I can confirm it from experience.
