He may be my Third least favourite Doctor with only McCoy and Whitaker being worse (Whitaker is the only one I actually can't stand the rest are still good) but I loved the stories of his era more than Tom Baker's. Although the First Doctor's era is still my favorite. I just preferred the writing, Earthshock and Caves of Androzani are better than anything in Baker's era in my opinion and I liked the darker tone some of his episodes got.

I liked Davison as the Doctor, but - he suffered from bad companions and sometimes very weak writing. I watched Timeflight again recently and couldn't quite believe how bad it was.
