Wonderful! I was a friend of Jon’s and tend to remember him in real life - this reminds me of his screen work. Jon once asked me how many Dr Who episodes he’d done - I answered “Not enough!”
there are so many clever things about your edit - the choice of song with the refrain 'This is my world' which references the Doctor's exile, the hallucination of fire from the Mind of Evil when the lyric references the word 'burn'...really good work

Been doing a classic who marathon and just finished thr Pertwee era and my god do I love this era. Pertwee's doctor, the chemistry between the UNIT regulars, delgado. Utter brilliance and this tribute does a great job showing all that

I love this, Jon Pertwee is one of the best and the 3rd Doctors era is one of the best eras of Doctor Who. I'd love them to do an earth bound era again, parts of series 10 felt like it with the doctor staying on earth to look after the vault but I'd like a proper earth bound series, it could still work.

Personally I really want to see Chris Chibnall bring back UNIT, my dream post regeneration episode for the 13th doctor would be to have a story similar to Spearhead from Space, which is one of the best post regeneration stories.

I think Jon Pertwee is the most grounded and realistic doctor. Possibly rivalled by Hartnell. The others are real larger than life characters and in New Who he's almost portrayed as a God. Not that I don't like New Who but Classic Who had a certain grounded vulnerability to it. At least earlier on everything the Doctor did to solve the problem was well explained whereas some new who stories seem to spout a bunch of techno babble to explain something that is basically magic or sonic it. E'g Last of the Time Lords, Journey's End, Power of Three.
The Doctor was also vulnerable. The tension in scenes like the oxygen deprivation in Ark in Space or the Doctor stuck in a burning house in Reign of Terror were just as tense as scenes where the Doctor became faced with the Daleks. If he wasn't the main character you could believe that the Doctor would die from something as mundane as a car accident. New Who makes him almost invulnerable. Surviving a high fall from a spaceship in the End of Time. At least he took damage from it though. Unlike more recent doctors. Looking at you Chibnall. Bloody Woman who fell to earth. More recently they've turned the Dctor into a cartoon. He fell from the roof of a skyscraper in Return of Doctor Mysterio like it was nothing. Blew himself up in the Doctor falls which would've been fine if he just regenerated but instead he gets up and runs around for AN ENTIRE FUCKING EPISODE. The Doctor was basically at the heat of an explosion and he was still able to rush around for a whole episode.
Wow! Not a single dislike! Then again, I don't know how, even a regular disliker could dislike this video. Amazing work! :)
He was the best and this when Dr Who was at it's peak - a long way from the shabby, pandering written by focus groups and box checkers tripe that it has become.

So that's what REAL Doctor Who looks like. After this year's run of NuWho I was beginning to forget that the programme could actually be enjoyable.
Jon Pertwee f@#$ing ROCKS! He made the Doctor into an action hero!!! Sean Pertwee please talk with bbc or doctor who HQ. I want to see you play the Third Doctor. I would pay money for that.
