- Hey everyone and welcome to another airline report!!! In this video, we will be going over TAP’s business class and what it offers. The Airbus A330-900NEO has a total of 34 seats in a 1-2-1 layout except for the very front row that’s right behind the galley & cockpit. TAP is the Portuguese flagship carrier that headquarters in Lisbon.
In this video, it's about my honest thoughts about the flight. This isn't to be little anyone nor the airline. The flight was good but I do believe that there were some minor things that can be improved. Come along and see what it's like fly TAP business between Chicago and Lisboa!
The purpose of the trip to Lisbon was to visit family & ancestors on my mother’s side. It’s been a while since I’ve last seen them due to the pandemic. On the bright side, I’m glad that they have a direct flight between Lisbon and Chicago which means no connecting in between.

You shouldn’t have a problem if you don’t record people, either crew or passengers. To prevent situations like this one I recommend you go to the crew and explain that you’re just recording your experience and that you won’t film anyone.

Hey there. Nice report. Regarding the pictures and video, as a Portuguese person, I do know people don't appreciate being on camera without a previous request and an explanation of what the footage is for. In this case, you mentioned "personal use", but this content has been posted on social media, which means, has you know, it can be seen worldwide. I put myself in that airline stewardess place and, to be honest, I'm not sure I would like to be confronted with a random passenger filming myself at work. I work in broadcast and I can tell you it can easily be frown upon. Same thing happens with bus drivers, inside trains, even shopping centers. Not sure if this is a good or bad thing, but it's just how the country works. I was once called out by a TAP steward because I was filming the take off focusing on the window and the head of service politely came and showed me this IATA manual that clearly state that airlines should prevent passengers from using cameras during either the entire flight or take off and landing for "security reasons". I believe that is no longer the case, but I could be wrong. Anyway, I believe this is a matter of cultural differences.

The flight attendant was correct in telling you to not record the flight crew and the passengers. Such things are not only considered a security risk, but are also highly intrusive. Do you actually think everyone on board wants to have their picture and their trip broadcast wherever you plan to post? Have you never heard of privacy?
I agree with you, but actually TAP also have some rough flight attendants. I traveled a lot of times with them, so I can say what I saw on their flights
I’m Portuguese and TAP flights attendants are NOT very friendly.
If you are in public then you wave any right to privacy for filming. I do not need your consent to film you. Especially that the video was still taken on US soil. In Europe and other countries, yes you need permission, but in to US there no such thing as privacy in public, because your just that, in public.
@@bingbong9844Thats bullshit. A plane is like a ship. Its the crew who sets the boundaries. Same as inside an embassy or a ship (except for luck games maybe, like casino games). And that thing of “ oh its for personal use…” Cmon, thats another bulltshit. What do you consider “personal”. A full stadium full of people? Some videos have hundreds of thousands of views! If the footage is going to youtube and will have thousands of people watching it, I sure wouldnt like all those people to see me onboard or even knowing I was there at that day going to that destination. We all like to see videos inside planes or flight reports, but hey… Thruth is when it’s me, go film somewhere else. And if the videos are monetized, it gets even worse since in Portugal we have a law called: “Direito à imagem”. If you see a guy with an alien head on a flight, dont film it… it may be me and I’m usually pissed off. 👽

I’m am flying this route next month, also from Chicago. Were they making people weigh or put their carryon bag into the sizer thing?? Were they making a lot of passengers check their carryon bag? Also, on the way back to Chicago, were they strict in Europe when boarding with the carryon bag size? Thx😊

Thanks for this. Do you know if economy class gets both a dinner and a breakfast? With the departure from ORD so late at 10 PM, I assumed that we'd only be served breakfast in the cheap seats.
They do. In economy it’s a meal after takeoff and then a snack box before landing!
I traveled with them from Brazil, and the flight that I took left at midnight (local time), but even if it was too late, they served dinner and breakfast at morning

I’ve flown TAP and the 330-900 neo a few times. The noise levels are low and the economy seats are OK. The flight attendants ?.. Let’s just say they are not the most friendly.
Did you fly about two months ago? Also what is the mask a choice or requirement?
I took this flight in late July. And masks were required onboard at the time. Idk if that’s the case now
How was drink refill service? I've heard TAP Biz class TAs are notorious for giving you the stink eye for drink refill requests.

Nice Vídeo but Boeing is like having the best Aircraft ever built I do prefer Boeing TAP in the 70’s had only Boeing 707 727 737 and 747!
Nowadays Boeing is loosing a lot of customers, specially because of the 737 Max. For example, KLM, that is a great customer of the Boeing aircrafts, decided to cancel the orders of 737 Max, and ordered the A320neo family. And not only that, they are planning to replace their Boeings 777 and 787 by Airbus A350 and A330neo
Flight attendant was very rude I would told her that I am not recording your face??? Just for my personal used at you tube !! Maybe because of something happen it won’t be proof ! Ya pay for a ticket uffff
