Welp thats my truck and yes David 3 different shops and they all wasted money so now its at your shop thank you for the video and thank you for finding the issue when the other shops couldn't you will definitely get my business in the future.
Man! I am learning so much thanks to your videos. I have the allison with 95k miles giving me issues but the 93 landcruiser with 334k is still going and going and going 🤣🤣🤣
Hi still no fix to the 2018 silverado 3500 so I have narrowed it down to C2 failure due to slipping when leaving 3rd to engage 4th gear. Sometimes it does it on 5th gear as well and it slams seldom at shifting to reverse. What do you know about this issue.
I have an LB7 with moderate HP increase mods so i had the transmission rebuilt specifically to handle my mods and everything has been great for years. My coworker has an 06 duramax with no Mods to increase HP whatsoever..totally stock and he had an Allison 1000 rebuilt for race application installed for daily driving. That transmission ran hot and didn't last 2 years. 😁
I have the funny reverse problem that I believe your referring too. When shifting in reverse the transmission will start going in reverse. But when you apply the brake the shift appears to complete and then it bangs pretty hard. This happens at times but other times it is completely normal. Have you seen were it can be intermittent when the snap rings pop out. It’s been doing this for years and your the first person that has had an idea of what’s happening. Yes this started immediately after rebuild of transmission
I have a 2003, 2500 HD, crew cab Chevy, Duramax, 4 x 4, and the issues I’m having are P0 700 P0778 solenoid B. I cannot figure out why I’ve tested the solenoid. I’ve cleaned the valve body and everything looks good, I cannot figure out the problem. Been dealing with it for two years. It goes into limp mode but when I erase the code and force it to drive, it will drive normal and perfectly fine sometimes and then sometimes it comes back any help
Did you find the issue? It could possibly be a leaking plug causing signal issues. I would try changing the internal harness that connects to the valve body
hello ! It's an honor to meet you. I admire you for your work. I'm a mechanic student and I would like to know if you could help me get transmission information, Allison. I really want to learn but I can't find any information. Could you help me? I am from Venezuela
Hahaha. I'm done watching at 3min already... hot spots on the steels and you're throwing it back in like that??? Dont forget to line up the slots in the steels next time. And yea don't bother updating the piston and spring to the 2011+ style, I'm sure the old design is WAY BETTER. 4 frictions in the c3 pack... it's going to slip in no time. Ive never used silicone on the pump bolts, and I have fixed leaks on ones that DID have silicone. In my opinion the seals leak on the pump bolts because guys dont oil the seal and they tear when torquing down the bellhousing. One last thing, please buy the proper tool to hold the main shaft when assembling the rear half

Yep it can be intermittent I've seen it a very very small number of times
Did you see all the hotspots in the steelers.
Very nice video love it
C3 steels definitely needed to be replaced due to the hot spots. There cheap. Why not just replace them and do it right?
Thank you so much brother
