    I will admit that I do miss the usb c... It has proven to be more robust when used heavily but, the design makes sense and I'll likely purchase one as I like the original and have enough uses for two.

      I don't mind either connector as I have a big mix of USB-C and Micro USB "gadgets" at the moment. In future I do hope to see micro USB dropped in favour of USB-C then finally we can have one connector. In reality I'm pretty sure there will probably be a new variant before that ever happens 🙂

      @@PenguinTutor obviously it doesn't bother me too much either as I purchased one today. I also purchased the Inky Impression for a Spectroscopy project I've been working on with my local club. I figured if I'm paying for shipping from the UK, I might as well fill the cart with hard to get items here in my area.

      Wouldn't it be possible to retrofit the badger with a third party Pico board that offers LiPo charging and USB-C once released as a wireless variant? They did exist (even from Pimoroni) without wireless connectivity. Waveshare also created some variants.

      @@nym49 You could, but it would involve unsoldering the Pico as it is soldered directly to the back of the Badger 2040W.
      I believe that there are limited other wireless RP2040 variants due to the cost and complexity of certifying a wireless device. Perhaps some will be created in future.
      An alternative is that you could add an external LiPo circuit connecting it to the power connector on the Badger. You could also use a USB-C connector on that. It may make the overall badge thicker with an extra circuit.

      @@PenguinTutor Yeah, that is most likely the obstacle. Still just a matter of time, seeing the abundance of releases of IoT devboards and devices.
      Would love to see some more videos on creating a simple GUI on the Badger 2040W. It's such a fun little device to learn on. Especially due to the combination of having a image persisting e-ink display and a RTC chip to learn optimizing energy use on such small systems.
      Thank you for creating those videos. - Such a valuable resource.
