Wait...hehe... I think you did the wrong challenge... This is how to cook decent meals with limited appliances... this is maybe more for microliving. Please redo the challenge. I don't know how the dorms are in PI, but in the states I can assure you students won't have flour, sesame oil, garlic, soy sauce, broccoli, frozen chicken, bacon, just lying around...lol. Not everyone even has a fridge. Gotta do something more common and realistic like the ramen noodles you used, bread, pick canned goods, dried foods, oatmeal, junk food (maybe use chips as breading...), etc.
Suggestion: College dorm room recipes but suited for college students’ budgets using cheap and accessible ingredients (possibly those found in convenience stores)
This is so cool! I'm in a dorm too for college and I cook most of my meals on a rice cooker. I make stews and even pizza on my rice cooker. Really hope this becomes a series! 😍😊
Erwan: "if you're a college student, this (tomato paste) is life" the only tomato i've ever had when i was in college is a fresh one eaten together with itlog na maalat or either sardinas in tomato sauce. that tomato paste is way more costly than the two mentioned, combined. lol
Scrumptious...Congratulations to my beautiful idol Anne and Erwan..Very excited your beautiful baby...I'm very happy both of you...For sure you both a good parents...
I stay in a dormitory house and i can only use rice cooker. Before watching this, I can only cook rice (obviously) and instant noodles. This is a big help! Maraming salamat, kuya!
i appreciate this video. as a college student you really can relate. we dont want to spend too much on food by eating outside. just cook food using the limited kitchen tools and spend less. and we don't want too spend too much on food because nothing left for alcohol. alcohol is life for like 99% of college students hahahaha anyway, how about not shopping in landers? you know, shop in a place like public market. talking about filipino colleges who cook noodles, pancit canton, eggs, and canned goods, easy to cook. just want to see if there are next level cooking using these ingredients. thank you!
The garlic pizza bread looks so yum!!! This vlog will really be helpful for college students at sa mga nag bo-boarding house din. Congrats Erwan & Anne! Hugs? Anyone??? 🤗🤗🤗
Stews, soup, steamed veggies and pancit canton is what I usually cook on rice cooker. I also do a one dish meal that I can eat from breakfast to dinner! 😂 Thanks for these awesome recipes, Erwan! Meron pa palang ibang pwedeng lutuin sa rice cooker. ❤️
Used to cook everything in my little rice cooker when i was in college too 😂 I did tuna rice egg, corned beef potato rice, and vienna sausage soup (i add cabbage, carrots& green peas and macaroni like a sopas)
We have been doing that when we were kids.
Congrats to the both of you. Anyways, I can totally relate to this during college days. Lalo na sa noodles na niluto sa electric kettle and how hard-headed the rice cooker when I was frying an egg in it.
You can bake banana bread or cake in your rice cooker. It comes out moist and yummy, non stick, for easy clean up. Also if you have a steamer on your rice cooker, you don't need to cook broccoli in a hot pot, you just wait until your rice is almost done and put vegetables in steamer over rice and steam for 5 - 10 minutes or wait until rice is done and on warm, put vegetables over rice and wait a few minutes until vegetables are done. You keep more vitamins in the food that way. You can also cook noodles in your rice cooker as well. I have cooked mac and cheese, angel hair, asian noodles, alfredo, etc. You can even use the cooker as a slow cooker on warm to make soup, or other slow cooker meals. Some people use their cooker to make meat dishes, such as chicken wings or other meats cooked in sauces, oils, etc. Because I have a zojirushi , it takes a little more time than over a stove, still the results are delicious. You can also make porridge in your rice cooker for a hot cereal in the morning and add ingredients to it to make it tasty: dry cranberries, raisins, chocolate, maple syrup, cut up fruit, brown sugar, or whatever you enjoy. Use your hot pot for tea and you have an easy breakfast. You can easily get a packet of stir rice rice. Add peanut butter, your favorite veggies, and ingredients on packet, add egg at the end to steam, then add green onion, bean sprouts, basil, lime, soy sauce, sesame and/or chopped peanuts at the end. I am looking for different meals to make in my rice cooker that are delicious. It is easy prep, knowing I need to wait until cooker is finished, so if extra hungry it is a challenge, but worth it. My cooker has a delay timer so I can put ingredients in, set the timer before cooking, then come back to a warm meal. You can study while your meal is cooking, enjoying some tea while you are waiting, when the cooker is done, open it, stir and enjoy. The key is not to limit possibilities. Of course zojirushi is the luxury of rice cookers with excellent results, yet like any rice cooker, there is so much more you can do with it than just cook rice.
You could sell that "tae" cake. Pronounce it like "tay" so the foreigners think it's something exotic and zen, and just snicker every time they say it.
College Dorm Room Friendly Recipes 2 packs pancit canton 1 small can spicy tuna flakes in oil (optional) 2 pcs calamansi na tinangay mula sa karinderya sa kanto Cook pancit canton according to package instructions. While pancit is still hot, top with drained tuna flakes. Squeeze calamansi. Mix well. Tuna Flakes (pwedeng hapunan, pwedeng pulutan) 1 can spicy tuna Skyflakes (depende sa dami ng gusto mo) Put tuna in a bowl along with as much oil you want, remove bay leaf. Add crushed Skyflakes as desired. Go cry in a corner while eating.
Loaf bread, check. Cheese singles, butter, check. Aluminum foil, an iron and ironing board, check. Result: ironing board grilled cheese! I did that in college a lot, such memories.

Yeah. Broccoli is a luxury as a student.
whenever i'm broke and there's leftover garlic and onion, i usually cook a hard-boiled egg into adobo hahaha
Minsan ang sakit pa sa puso maglabas ng 7 ahahaha
@@bugszybusy9885 yup HAHAHA other option is siomai 5pesos (tas marameng garlic)
