My gods, this makes the Conan Doyle bits in Shanghai Knights look downright sophisticated. There are few movies I can´t draw at least some enjoyment from. One movie that didn´t make me laugh once was Hangover 3 and this looks like it is right up there.
Ralph Finnes looks so sad. His thoughts were like, oh what happened to me? I was fucking Voldemort! Now I'm reduced to this crap? I had better luck with red dragon.

And judging by this review, I couldn't be far off the mark even if I was blindfolded.

I remember trying to read a Sherlock Holmes book in the 3rd grade. I got bored a few pages in and put the book away saying I'd read it another time. But in what I read their was a line about how Watson shouldn't spend time with Holmes because he might poison his tea just to figure out what the poison might do.
My mother is a massive fan of Sherlock Holmes, loves every piece of media ever made about him. Except this one. I will always remember this movie as the thing that made her say "I don't want to see this Sherlock Holmes movie" 😂

Sherlock Holmes as a comedy character does work. It was not only brilliantly done in "Without a clue" with Michael Caine as Holmes and Ben Kingley as Watson (as you said it). Also in the 1930s there was a great German comedy named "The Man who was Sherlock Holmes" with Hans Albers and Heinz Rühmann, two of the greatest German actors who played two detectives who disguise as Holmes and Watson to get some big cases. The movie and the book that is based ON the movie are also filled with references to Sherlock Holems stories and also has Arthur Conan Doyle as a character himself. Those are good examples for Holmes related comedy. This movie however is not a comedy. It is, gently said, crap.

He just flexes he's gimmick. This particular one feels like it's done by someone with a second hand knowledge of he's work, but it's him actually! I mean in he's previous reviews he always had a theme like busted Mars needs moms with Star Trek homage,kim possible with a grapling hook from the gas gun. This is about as out of nowhere when he used the canary scream in the strange magic review.
I've not seen Holmes and Watson until I had not seen on the airplane again. I know Brawn is Braun Strowman is one of the WWE superstars. I am a big fan of Sherlock Holmes since I grew up watching in the 90s.

Also in the 1930s there was a great German comedy named "The Man who was Sherlock Holmes" with Hans Albers and Heinz Rühmann, two of the greatest German actors who played two detectives who disguise as Holmes and Watson to get some big cases. The movie and the book that is based ON the movie are also filled with references to Sherlock Holems stories and also has Arthur Conan Doyle as a character himself. Those are good examples for Holmes related comedy. This movie however is not a comedy. It is, gently said, crap.
