I've never really seen anything else done b Linda Hamilton except for Dante's Peak, but Michael Biehn I've seen in several other movies like The Rock, and Tombstone. He is an outstanding actor who is very underrated. I feel like Arnold Schwarzenegger was the star and all of the Terminator, but Michael Biehn was the bridge that made the movie that much more awesome.
I met Michael Biehn at LFCC a couple of weeks ago. Nice guy and genuinely seemed interested in what I had to say. He was also happy to let me have my picture taken with him. Legend.
I love you, Michael Biehn! Thank you for bringing Kyle Reese to life. He is one of the sexist men ever brought to the big screen. Hicks was another. And Linda Hamilton, you're a hero of mine. Always will be.
We really need to see more of Linda Hamilton, thankfully film and especially TV are changing with regards to chances for older actresses. And rightly so.
I love Michael's story about Arnold around the 14-minute mark. Younger people today just don't know what it was like, for a world to exist before Arnold Schwarzenegger was a bankable movie star. But 35 years ago, he was a former bodybuilder and relatively new actor, known mostly for "Conan the Barbarian". Michael was right too, about Arnold not being able to speak English very well back then; its partly why his character had so few lines.
And he isn't a great actor, he just got good parts because of his physique and he was ok at acting but the characters worked for what he could offer, it was kind of pure luck and timing. All respect to him, he did incredibly, but its a certain type of film. Biehn to me has the sensitivity and looks to work across such a diversity of roles, even as he has aged and isn't cast for his looks he still works across a more diverse range. 80/90s was a really interesting time for film..
Arnold could speak perfect english in 1984 and fluently too. Michael must've been joking around there. If you ever get the chance watch the docu-film pumping iron in 1975 you'll see he spoke perfect English
Linda is so into Michael still after all these years, compliments him on every occasion in every single Comic Con. I even got an idea like she 'accidently' picked his bottle despite looking at the bottle and then glancing Michael maybe even thinking "that's as close to a kiss as we can get" don't get me wrong... I would love to see them together as they are the best. I also was surprised about MB digging so into his character in Terminator and reaching out for such lecture. I wish (as Polish) to talk to him about that what seed this idea and who or what made him reach for this book in practicular
Two of the best actors out there. Every time Michael Biehn showed up in a movie you knew it was going to kick ass and Linda Hamilton is extremely versatile. Was very surprised at how buffed she got for T2. That took a helluva lot of training but she totally nailed that role. It's amazing how she can go from soft and feminine to one of the strongest women in movie history. I wish they'd put both in the new Terminator film, even if it's just a bit part. Hell, I think they should bring back every major actor from the series for cameos. I'd love to see Robert Patrick too. He's not a very big guy compared to Arnold and I was worried about him playing the major badguy but man did he not only totally do his role justice but also made us all believe he was even more badass than Arnie which is no easy feat to pull off.
Jamie Pinson The difference between Cameron's Terminator films and the subsequent ones is that at all times the characters are doing something. Linda Hamilton develops from an ordinary woman to a fighter, so initially she is saved but then she is thrown into a literal drivers seat while Kyle shoots/throws bombs. There wasn't really any point where she's a back seat character. In T2, John would've died at the start if he didn't save himself on his bike. He needed Arnie to save him, but the reason he got away for so long was because of himself. Arnie is pushed to his limits and often he would've failed his mission had the other characters not put their weight in. Sarah Connor would've died if she didn't personally escape out of her cell, she instantly grabs a gun and starts shooting. At all times the characters pull their weight throughout the film. When I compare it to T3, they mostly take a backseat role. John drives the van at the start, Kate flies a plane and shoots once but it doesn't really feel they're doing a lot.
Linda is being 100% truthful. She really does just want to talk to people she meets. She will ask you questions and want to get to know who you are. She's a little funky as a personality because of her bi-polar but she is genuinely a very warm and nice person.
Alex Cantrell I seen the Divide - great film. The Victim which he made was meh...He's got some work to do with film making. It's fair enough that he is making low budget films, but there is one scene with an obvious rubber gun. Can't get hold of a real gun in America??
Due to those two characters that they played in The Terminator, is what makes it one of my favorite sci-fi action movies, because I felt it worked well as an action movie, but what set it apart was its story; the future and past story which was interesting, but also the love story between these two. That kind of thing was also brought into Cameron's sequel, though it wasn't about a romance, but a father (Terminator), and mother and son, which also set it apart. I liked Arnold as the Terminator, he's a huge part of it, but if it had just been him without the human story, it would just be another standard action movie.
that's what talented director without much budget can do - develop the story and play it out through terrific actors he chose; james cameron wrecked his later projects when obscene amount of money was made available to him by studio execs.

Arnold Schwarzenegger
Subtitles: Almost Wore Sneakers
@ 43:17 "Filmed By Stephen Flowers" I would say filmed by a camera on a tripod... he just pushed the button at the right time. :P
I love both Linda Hamilton & Michael Biehn. I loved when Michael Biehn mentioned Arnold, did he mean his politics he does not agree with?? :)
This brings back memories
Really got the impression Michael Biehn does not like Arnold Schwarzenegger at all
Paul Fargin I think Arnie was a bit of a douche in his 80's hey day, always fucking around and winding people up. That can grate with some people over time who are not into horsing around.
Paul Fargin Arnie always been a bit of button pusher, also comes across as very arrogant, a prankster and his accent doesn't help lol. Check out Peter Kent homepage, Arnie's life long stunt double, he has a couple of stories of him and Arnold pranking people, and is a bit more tuff than regular pranking.
Zamolxes77 can you drop a link here I looked but couldnt find it. Thank you
john mellor 100% agree, I can imagine a lot of people not liking him cos he purposely rubs them up the wrong way
Zamolxes77
thanks but the homepage is just a collection of links. Is there a particular page where the prank sdtories are? I looked but couldnt find any specfic ones?

Arnold's genius was to turn down the role of Kyle Reese....
Jedidah Fire what did he do to you?
He didn't turn it down. Arnold wanted to be Kyle Reese
@@Jerkwilkesbooth wrong! It was Arnold suggested it.
@@ragnarlodbrok1233 That's the official story but the reality is that Arnold was saving face
@@Jerkwilkesbooth ok buddy.
Did Michael mean Karate Kid? Karate Kid 2 came out in 86.
Michael was good in navy seals too love him and Linda
T2 was and is one of the best action movies of all time imo
"How much does Arnold say? 4 words? Sounds good." AWESOME!
And The Rock. Where Michael plays a Navy Seal team commander.
Michael and Linda are what made the 1st terminator so great! Arnold not so much mainly because he was a bad guy...
