Linda Hamilton is a legend. Her role as Sarah Connor will forever be iconic as much as Arnie is The Terminator. Love them both cant wait to see the movie and those two together again. And hopefully they'll Both Be Back .
I didn't know that Linda Hamilton had so much input into that character, I love the fact that she said she wanted Sarah Connor to be strong, but not take away her femininity. She is truly a woman who guides her own career.
I only watch the ones she's in. When I heard she wasn't in one it was like "why even bother making a term. movie without her". She WAS the movie. Her and Reece's love affair is the BEST!!!
Brother Rick you have to be a beta male if you don’t see the subtle feminism Injected in movies hope you don’t raise a son and infect him with your weak species because there is no way you can raise a boy .
This video reminds me of exactly that. I always wondered why I wasn’t interested at all in the movies that didn’t happen to include her. I mean, I was a big fan of the original two. Makes all the sense in the world that the audience would relate to her and would need to, instead of it just being “crazy cyborg and action”.
And to think that all the while, Linda herself was battling so much hardship with her bipolar, depression and addiction. Sarah Connor is an icon, but Linda Hamilton is the true hero.
As a little girl I always thought “She’s the most beautiful strong woman I’ve ever seen.” 26 years later I say “She’s the most beautiful strong woman my eyes have ever seen.” She continues to be so hot, then and now.
Linda Hamilton did an amazing Job in creating the character and bringing her to life. Seeing Emilia Clarke fail at that role didn´t make me hate her it just made me appreciate Linda even more.
The first and best female action star of my childhood was Ma'am Linda in terminator 2. I only saw her fighting lady that i didn't see anyother other ladies fighting in movies that time when I was young.
I have watched all the terminator series but I can't really recall the story line or any moments from those parts where Sarah Connor hasn't been included..it's like those sequels never existed for me. felt so thrilled to see linda's return.
Linda, it is your interpretation of Sarah Connor that all credit goes to. If it was Cameron and another actress, the franchise would not have had the impact it does today. Yes, you are an icon of your own making. Own it!
Hamilton is such a great actress! It's like it's really her up there on screen. She's won several awards, but, not a single Oscar. I don't know what they're waiting for to give her one.
In 1991, I was 12 years old, and T2 was everything... between my 12 year old self being introduced to the heartthrob Edward Furlong to seeing a woman in such a strong role. I knew I wanted to be as strong and badass as Sarah when I grew up. I hope she realizes how much she influenced young girls who loved being active and strong.
I watched the 2019 last Saturday and omg gosh!!! L felt so must nostalgia. What we see st the beginning of the film made me cry....l don’t want to spoil it for anyone that hasn’t seen the film yet.
Linda Hamilton does my Hometown of Salisbury, Md on the Eastern Shore proud as always! It was so thrilling, back in the day, seeing Terminator and her portraying a strong female.
She gave encouragement to Hollywood to make more actresses like her by making then badass just like her character...and I swear the Lara Croft look came from Sarah's character from terminator 2.
Something about linda shes not what society would call a beauty but i find ger strength her energy very attractive her inner strength to characters is what makes her to me very attractive i love her acting weather shes playing a damsel in disress a warrior or any other part shes a actress who goes down in history for me
Linda Hamilton's acting is really believable- she pulls u in. I don't know any other actresses that is able to even remotely pull that kind of acting off.
I love this production but what's up with the generic whimsical music in the background? For such an interesting piece with the amazing Linda Hamilton, I feel like I'm being talked down as a viewer because of the music.
So tired of Hollywood thinking that only men can be over 40 years old. Thank goodness the Terminator franchise came to their senses and gave us Sarah Connor again.
One of my fave movies of all time!!I consider it a lovestory, and Linda really imprinted on me that women can be strong too,and a lifelong love of Jeeps❤!!!Great analysis!!
I think they captured the argument perfectly. The Terminator... is incomplete without Sarah Connor. The Terminator itself is always a fixed constant, a robot. Sarah is a woman fighting for the future of her family. You will never get a more powerful source of will and determination than a person protecting what's most precious to them.
Linda Hamilton is so on point with leaving the long hair and not cutting it. It definitely feminized the character. I have to say that after seeing the current movie T: Dark Fate, it did bother me that the cyborg had a bowl hair cut. I didn't like it at all because it looked too much of a boy. Thank you Linda for playing such a great role and feminizing it. And you are still a bad *ss in it.
Very eye opening interview thank you. In hindsight I now know why the other terminator movies after T2 didn’t resonate with me, they were not about the growth of Sarah Conor. In a way the TV series was much closer to the core story of original terminators, which was about Sarah Conor. Really looking forward to seeing Dark faith and see the growth of Sarah Connor.
7:22 to 7:47, Hamilton was right. Look at the reaction to the early production photos of Grace from Dark Fate. People thought she was male or transgender. They should’ve let the actress keep her hair long.
I walked out on this new Terminator film because it was mad disrespectful to the Sarah Connor and the first two movies. I will always idolize this character as a strong woman.
They brought up a great point in this piece. That they made all those Terminator movies and never once used the Character that was almost as important as Arnold's .
I didn't take any of it seriously. But it, and the acting, grows on you. When you really want think about it, what is stopping her from an Academy Award nomination? Few actors threw their heart and soul into a character like Linda.
@Fino Menezes The script and delivery is clearly burly (not bully). The script is written as "burly-beef". My guess is that it has to do with portion size. The statue in front is a fat guy with a huge burger, and the name of the place is Big Jeff's. Since it's clearly some type of burger joint, the burly-beef platter is probably the biggest platter they have. The meat is likely sirloin steak. I doubt it's corned beef, that would be too sophisticated for this place which looks like a rip off of the Bob's Big Boy chain.
Terminator 2 is the best action film EVER MADE!!!!!!!!!!! Every time I watch it its like the first time! 3 was too cheesy, I loved Salvation, and Genesis was a good concept, but it was too much going on in a film
Such a close race for me, I'd personally have to say Die Hard is better because it doesn't leave me with questions like T2 does. Everything feels like it makes sense. But T2 has aged better and it's visually impressive. T2's high-end special effects are a lot more impressive than Die Hard's fairly conservative action scenes.
@@GrijzePilion time travel never makes sense, and it's not suppose to. I like the blanks coz it leaves room for fan debates, fan fiction and endless conversations over what if? Die Hard is like a rollercoaster: It's on a track and it does it all for you. Terminator is like a video game where every choice has a consequence, and the more they add the more you're left with more questions
Linda Hamilton & Sigourney Weaver were the first real badasses I have memory of. Now that I'm older, I understand why they broke the mold. There's nothing wrong with strong female lead characters in movies, but what they're missing is what Sarah Connor & Ellen Ripley went through; which is an evolution into badassery
I loved the Bionic Woman show when I was a girl. Maybe if Terminator came out sooner I'd have felt I stood a better chance against men in power over me. There was something about the Sarah Connor character I could relate to and draw strength from! 💖
@walk hard Movie's not done yet. Better to wait till the end And who fucking cares if she's female or what she said? And when has that been a rallying cry? And you know what month this is right?
@walk hard The movie bombed partially because the last 3 movies weren't well received and the general public doesn't care about another Terminator. They blew it by having a massive budget. They could have made a good movie with a 70-100 million dollar budget. Yeah the John Connor death was too bad and this movie's biggest weakness. Loved Linda Hamilton as Sarah Connor though. She is forced into a life as the savior of humanity against her will, but also one with zero respect. A fugitive from the law despite literally saving the world. Hated by authorities even as she continues to fight for humanity.
I would be proud to show my daughter what a female heroin is with a movie like Terminator. Sarah Connor is the hero of the Terminator franchise and Linda Hamilton is a Legend for it. Todays cinema puts men down to lift the female leads up. It's a sad message. You can put a female lead in a bunch of strong male characters and she can stand out and be a great leader. That would be the right message to a child for me.
"In the late 70s and early 80s american cinema saw an influx of strong female heroines in action film." And they're trying to do the same thing now but it ain't workin.
I believe its because back then there was little to no agenda from PC police/SJW trying to make us accept their version of strong female heroines. They were just good written stories of normal women who through circumstances beyond their control became tough warriors in order to survive
The real Sarah Connor is back 👍İ love Linda Hamilton, she is natural beautiful women, there are only two of my favorites badass women movie stars, where are Linda Hamilton and Sigourney Weaver. Ms. Hamilton made the role iconic. It’s a testament to how little screen time she actually got that they keep playing the same clips over and over.
Probably those few seconds is all they're legal allowed to show
