I'm more of a 1990s kid (born in 1987). Many of these were in my childhood!
RUB-A-DUB DOLLY.
That was my sister's favorite doll. She took that everywhere she went... And I mean, everywhere, as though it was attached to her.

Smurfs, strawberry shortcake, the incredible hulk, lemon ankle skippers, tether ball, easy bake ovens, lite-brite
G.I. Joe with the Kung-Fu grip. Bullet Man the Human Bullet. Marvel and DC comics action figures. There was this robot that walked and every few seconds, it would display a weapon out of his chest.
Anyone remember Gnip Gnop ? It was a game that used Ping Pong Balls. Gnip Gnop is just pung Pong Backward

I had the whole line of Evel Knievel toys, the van, all 3 bikes, the dragster, made a custom 3 bike trailer with my Spin Welder kit. Also had a Stretch Monster.
I remember playing with Merlin. My other 2 favorites were Evel Knievel Motorcycle and Sky Cycle. Had both of them.
The greatest feeling was peddling as fast as your little legs could, then pulling the "break" handle on your 3 wheeler to see how far and long you could spin out.
I don't remember my parents being very happy with my brothers teachings, being that their youngest and only girl was coming home bloody and brused. Even more so because I grew up in an extremely traditional home and was practicing my newfound talent in handsewn smocked dresses. 😂
Of these, the only one I remember owning was a NERF. I do remember some of my friends having some of the others, though.

Did the Evel Knievel doll come in a broken bones version with an ambulance instead of the bike?
Got my Creepy Crawler scar the first day, lol. My fingers stay burned for a long time, I loved that thing. Can you even imagine a "toy" like that now?

The neighbor kids would flip tricycles over to make what Bigwheels eventually became! I didn't get a Stretch Armstrong toy until I was an adult and found a blue monster keychain out of the same stuff!
The 1/12 scale Winnebago was my fave toy back then.

It’s also amazing how diverse we were as well in everyday interest’s.
Stretch Armstrong was the greatest boon to the carpet industry since the mechanical loom! The number of carpets destroyed by the Gel this toy was pumped full of is Astronomical! While it was very stretchy in the toy, upon exposure to air it hardened into something you could armor a tank with!
I had ever single one of these in the 70s, although I hate dolls, they’ve always creeped me TF out and my mom was upset that I wouldn’t play with it and put all the clothes she had sewn for it on my stuffed animals. I loved the Monkees in the Nerf commercial, lol. I loved contriving ramps and obstacles for my Evil Knieval motocycle and action figure. I’d LOVE to have a working Atari 2600, with PAC Man, Ms PAC Man, Donkey Kong- gosh-I could go on and on- pitfall, Qbert, lol. And if someone could build an adult sized Big Wheel- I’d think I’d dies and gone to heaven. They still make shrinky dinks or something like that. I buy them at Michael’s and use them in crafting. Awesome trip down memory lane (except Baby Alive- eff that evil b!tch)
Great toys. Memories. When boys were boys and girls were girls. The Pet Rock was stupid, though.
Unfortunately Stretch Armstrong wasn’t indestructible. I had to throw mine away when it leaked jelly.
No mention of the Mego 8 inch action figure line? What discussion of 70's toys is complete without that?
Had the Atari 2600 with my favorite game, Adventure. Also had the original Pong.
Tonka Trucks, Connect Four, View Master and Parker Bros. board games.
Oh, stretch armstrong, hes so cool he can....stretch and...just stretch. He was one of the lamest toys ever. People dont get toys just to stretch them. Its what you do after stretching. But nothing good came of playing with that toy
Weebles were introduced by HasBRO, not “Hasboro”!
I remember nerf footballs. I also had the best time with LEGOs!
my grandparents had a sears branded atari vcs, then we got an actual atari vcs in about 1980.

My Brothers would line up all there creepy crawlers in the threshold of the room so I would come in there and annoy them. I was terrified of them.
I still have an Evil Kinevil stunt cycle I bought in my 30s.

SST's came out before Evil Knievel, were very similar to his dragster, very fast, and a lot of fun, lol.

Oh my gosh, I think I grew up with a lot of 1980s toys even though I was born in 1990-I remember one specific time playing with stretch Armstrong with my cousin at his dad‘s wedding to my cousin way back when we were kids

What about the SST vehicle
When i was a kid in the 80s my friend and I called it "big wheel bloopers"... We would just go down dangerous steep hills on a big wheel, crash into things and just try to survive! Ahhh, the good old days😂
I learned crash avoidance and buffering, it helped 10 years later when snow sledding: Bail out! Tuck and roll!

We had an Atari, but us kids weren't allowed to touch it 😟 (a grudge I reasonably still hold today LOL). Had plenty of Nerf toys 😉. I wanted a BigWheel so baaad, but Dad called it a "big baby trike" LOL (and realized later my bicycle was more durable anyway). No Pet Rock, but we had a "Rock Concert" (I guess not really a toy?). Grandma often had us do ShrinkyDinks to keep our destructive brattiness in check LOL. Grandma also had some Weebles and houses with chutes slides.
Had a stretch Armstrong; until we stretched him too far and all his goo leaked out.
Same. Who knew it was just corn syrup? I can remember opening it on Christmas morning and my grandparents amused by the full page of “DO NOT” warnings included in the box.
When we moved into our forever home in 1979, Atari was en route and so was cable tv. We got our first Atari in 1980, and then cable arrived in Miami at that time. We had Big Wheels when we were younger, during grade 3 and 6. My brother wanted Evel Knievel then he aspired to become him. He tried to create his own stunts, to his own detriment. He cracked his head more than once. Simon Says was a big party centerpiece. Everyone had those various memory consoles, there were a few different ones. The Weebles tagline "Weebles wobble but they don't fall down!!"
In the 1970's I had this action figure, a kind of Safari or Adventure guy. He had his own Box-like trailer, in that dark brown motif. It had all kinds of interesting things about it, but I can never remember his name.
I didn’t have any of these stupid toys and I had LOTS of toys.
The dollar store doesn’t carry name brand toys.

I think they came out in the 1960s, but Iloved Liddle Kiddles.
Our Atari was equipped with Pong, not a combat game.
The original games were, but the cartridges came with the 2600.
And PONG clones were available before the Atari.

Not sure why I asked for one too! Ended up returning Hugo “Man of a Thousand Faces” the next day and bought accessories for my new model train set instead.
