What other old toys from the 1980s do you remember? 🤔

Aside from the ones in the video, Ghostbusters was a big one. I remember owning the Fire House, several versions of the Ghostbusters themselves, Ecto-1 along with most if not all of the vehicles in the cartoon, and an assortment of ghosts and monsters to bust.
Oh, and a plush Stay-Puft Marshmallow Man, of course.

First, I believe between my brother and I, we owned all of the toys in this video!
      Other memorable toys:
      •My Pet Monster
      •My Buddy and Kid Sister
      •Pound Puppies
I’m sure there were many more over the years, but those really stand out.

The symbols on My Little Ponies weren't called "Cutie Marks" until generation 3, which came out in 2003. Otherwise, good video :) I was obsessed with He-man, She-ra, My Little Pony, Thundercats, Voltron, and TMNT.

I worked in the toy dept. at Target in the early '80's, so this was like a video scrapbook! You can also add Strawberry Shortcake and Smurfs! On Cabbage Patch Kids mornings, (when the populace knew we had gotten them in the night before), we saw some of the most outrageous battles amongst parents! It was the highlight of our week!

I knew a dude back in the 70s who bought a house that had a central vacuum cleaner.
But his wife couldn't use it because they never could find it in order to empty it. True story.

Teddy Ruxpin...percurser to the demonic Furby. I've had both, Teddy Ruxpin was not what i wanted but got stuck with because of a JC Penny screw up(my mother didn't believe in returning things) it was a creepy thing for a child that didn't like teddy bears, and all i ever had for it was the tape that came with it. What's hilarious, still have the tape, the bear banished to the dump decades ago. The stupid noses on the bears would fall off at times but then you just had a horror inducing toy that was still "talking". I had Rainbow Bright everything(and I mean everything) and My Little Ponies...and "cutie marks" is a Gen 3 thing from the 90's not the original. I still have my plush windwhistler My Little pony.

My Little Pony never went away. They're still around. The cartoons too. ...and the Care Bears and Smurfs as well. Seems to me there are many cartoons for younger kids that focus on that. Even Tom and Jerry are friends, so I'm not sure what you're getting at.

We grew up in a large family and there was no way my parents could pay the high price the cabbage patch kids sold for. Fortunately, a store in our local mall was raffling one off and my two older sisters won a cabbage patch kid and gave it to my younger sister and I to share, I'll never forget how excited we were. I remember Strawberry Shortcake dolls and Smurf figures were popular too.

My Friend Dolls from Fisher Price, My Little Pony, and Strawberry Shortcake dolls (I wasn’t allow to have a Barbie or a Cabbage Patch kid doll).

My mom didn’t like Barbie because the boots and a lot of the clothing was too hard to put on (my older sister had received one in the 70’s, so a lot of the clothes had hooks and tiny buttons instead of Velcro and snaps) and the high heels didn’t stay on well. She thought the Cabbage Patch kid dolls were just just straight up ugly 😂.

I’m in my 50s, and I still love Care Bears, Transformers, and TMNT, lol. Preferred lifelike model horses to My Little Pony. Loved micro machines even though I was about to graduate high school when they came out. I was in the Star Wars camp and had just about every action figure and ship they had. If I could go back in time, I’d tell my high school self who was about to go off to college NOT to sell that stuff at a garage sale 🤦‍♀️! I loved Pound Puppies and Monchichi but I don’t remember if those were 70s or 80s. Cool video!

They have to add something for it to be considered original content. Otherwise the video will get demonetized. The guy took the time to do research and write a script providing facts like dates, sales figures, achievements and additional commentary. Mindless drivel is most of the comment section.
