Between the Edifier R1855DB, JBL 104-BT and JBL Quantum Duo, which is the best for a home studio for producing radio vignettes, editing radio programs, video editing and listening to music, what is recommended?
Well, it seems the difference is almost imperceptible. I've read r1855 are better for music hearing and r2000 for movies and games. Is it right? I wanna buy one of these models.
Really good speakers, I used them for about a month. Clean and clear sound, surprisingly good low tones considering the size of the set. I used them as a TV stereo. They worked great, but I needed more power. I have a 23-meter living room and the TV is placed 4 meters from the listening position. Even though I was really surprised by their capabilities, I like it when the music overwhelms me a bit. I recommend them for smaller rooms, they were lost in mine. However, if you like good sound quality and you don't necessarily have to feel the music in your ears, this is a really great option. I have now switched to edifier R2750db and although they are much larger, they do not play louder enough. However, there is a lot more low end and it does the job. There is also a subout output, which was missing in the R2000db editions. If you are looking for something for your TV or computer, you will be happy with both. By the way, the r2000s sound a bit nicer in my opinion and have dynamic functions, the lack of a sub option, even though they go low, made me decide on something bigger. The R2000db look really elegant, they are very well made, even the knobs are of much better quality than in the r2750. The latter are not very pretty in my opinion, but that's not the point. The price of both sets is very similar. If you want something for close listening or you don't want a lot of bass and you also care about an elegant look, go ahead and go for the R2000db, they will be for you. If you sit further away from the sound source or are looking for power, I recommend the R2750db. There are also r2850db, but these are quite large boxes.
I'm really considering either of these. However, I still have trouble choosing. If anyone out there could help me pick between the following options, or give advice (or even alternatives), that would be massively appreciated. My options are as followed: - Edifier R1855DB + Edifier T5 sub - Edifier R2000DB - Edifier S351DB 2.1 I mainly use them for either listening to music or watching movies. I do love myself a bit of bass. Thanks a ton!
For me Edifier R1855DB sounds way more cristal than R2000 on this movie. But personally I'd choose 2.1 Edifier S351DB. I heard them play. It was awesome
@@jackshephard978 Thanks dude! I also noticed that the 2000db doesn’t have a sub-out. I definitely want to pair a sub to the speakers, so the 2000db’s are off the table. @@ijuicedd8019 How much do you have to spend on s360DB 2.1 in your country? The Klipsch set is also a very nice choice, I just checked it out, the sub is much bigger and has 150W of power, as much as the entire Edifier set :) I've never heard it live But costs over two times more than Edifier.

Hello, I go my setup 1 week now R1855DB+T5 and the sound is amazing. But why does my sub T5 go to sleep every time after a certain time and the red light starts on the back. I use it in combination with the R1855DB but it is connected to the sub out connector. The R1855DB speakers are connected to the TV optically. What could be the problem, too little signal from the TV (the wolume on the TV is on 1/3) into the R1855DB, or something else?
The r1700bts has better Bluetooth connectivity (APTX) and 3D sound DSP (not great thou imo) but the r1855 has more input connections like optical/coaxial ideal for TV use and slightly more power output advantage. If dont need those digital inputs then get the r1700BTs for better Bluetooth codec@@kaghunchunglamleekamei8634
None. It's the track he is playing into both speakers spliced directly into the video itself. It's meant to give the actual sound you should be hearing to compare how well these speakers reproduce them.
The Edifiers are nice in general - that is, up until you actually begin listening to some better monitor speakers with higher end (read "accurate") capabilities. And when listening to these speaker comparisons, one must realize that it all depends on what you're listening to them with. For example, one person may be listening to these comparisons through cheap, tinny computer speakers - and might subsequently complain that the Edifiers don't sound good (daaaaaaaa). Others may be listening to a variety of speakers, from small sound bars to more expensive audiophile level speakers. But even then, the results will sound different - that's why I never rely on these for serious buying decisions.
Listening to these comparisons using decent earphones makes them very useful. The difference between the source track and the speakers is quite noticeable, intense in some cases. And the comparison can be appreciated with much more fidelity than using almost whichever speakers you may have.
@@jonassalvador596 You're right. I was referring more to listening with speakers. But when you use a very good set of headphones, you can hear subtle (and not so subtle) differences across the board.
