Waiting for a pair of these and out of all the others it had the right balance of features. Nice to see that the wood grain looks good and not cheap. Hope they sound as good as they look. Using them as customer reference speakers so I don't have to go to my car to check my mixes.
Why the hell are there so many dislikes? This guy is honestly so funny a charismatic lmao. I came trying to find out more on these speakers but now I also have another cool creator to sub to. Thanks for the vid.
Did you have any trouble connecting to Bluetooth? I read tonnes of positive reviews before ordering but a few people mentioned connectivity issues. I want them to be able to play music to jam along with and want to be able to use BT primarily.
@Bearded Reviews How responsive is the remote? The reason I ask is because I've had bad experiences using little remotes like that in the past and many of 'em weren't very responsive at all. I had little remote like that to control a bluetooth car stereo I had and even me pointing directly to it from like 6 inches away, me sitting at the driver seat, that remote's signal wouldn't respond quickly enough, I had to press the volume buttons repeatedly in order to turn the volume up or down. So I wonder how responsive the signal for that tiny remote is for those speakers because I prefer controlling the volume from across the room instead of getting up and manually turning the volume up and down behind the right speaker.
Just got these guys. Have a pair of S2000 Pros for my TV unit and these are my new desktop speakers. Build quality is good, sound seems great as well. I got the wooden paneled ones and they look amazing. Only issue is that they produce quite a distinct hissing/static sound, which increases as the volume increases. This does not seem connected to connected inputs/other devices/cables as I've tested them out in multiple environments. Compared to R2000DBs, my old S2000 Pros are dead silent when no audio is coming in. Really liking them, but the level of static is a bit of a deal breaker for me and I might be sending them back. What a shame. I really like the otherwise. Oh, 1 last note is that when paired with your phone any changes in volumes result in loud beeps, which is very unpleasant and unrefined experience. S2000 Pro is much better - no beeps while using bluetooth. Not sure if I got a dud pair, but based on my own experience, I would recommend the S2000 Pro over this ones.
Just got this several days ago. Tried all the inputs but the Optical does not produce Audio of Dolby Digital AC3, Dolby Digital Plus and DTS. My PC can decode the first 2 and sound can come out from the Line In 3.5mm Jack but nothing from Digital In.
R2000DB is sold only at $123 or even $115 if you are an online store member (all-inclusive, free-shipping) in mainland China. I feel we are still ripped off.
THX for your review. One question to you. I was thinking of using Edifier 2000db speaker connected to my 52 inch TV set. Would it work tethered. My TV set 10 years old.
I have these one's in black, connected to my external audio card (Xonar U7 MKII) which is connected to my PC. My previous setup was Altec Lansing 621 (2.1 system) and these in terms of sound quality, blew them out of the water. They are a bit pricey tho, in EU they are around 300$.
Thanks for the review, I actually have a pair of these for sale right now in Western Australia (March 2024), they are lovely speakers, elegant and quite heavy...
A tip! I was reading some reviews on Amazon before buying and saw complaints about the remote control being the only way to switch between bluetooth, optical and RCA inputs. Without control, the speaker would become useless. But I don't think they read the manual also (RTFM!). The volume button can be pressed in to cycle input sources, switching between them without the need of this fragile IR remote control.
PLS help R2000DB Or R1855DB or Z623 ?? For Movie and Music , Not for loud/ heavy music Offer in malaysia is R2000 = 143$ USD R1855DB = 153$ USD Z623 = 84$ USD
I feel that Edifier does not make a quality product. In my case I bought the R2000DB speakers. At first, I thought they were damaged. I ended up researching RUclips videos just to get them working with my laptop through a Bluetooth connection. When I frustratingly got them to pair and produce sound, I was very disappointed. The sound has too much base to the point I turned the base knob all the way down and the treble knob all the way up. Also, it seems the sound has a generally muffled sound. Disappointed that I paid so much for low quality speakers. I do not recommend this company at all.
That Garbage you're playing is the absolute confirmation of why kids, teens and young adults of the last few decades are so messed up and stupid in the head. The 70's & 80's was a much happier time to grow up because the music was actually music and more positive and the bottom line just overall HAPPIER and healthier for your brain!!!!!!!!!
I'm probably a bigger classic rock fan than you are. But I'm not narrow minded to the point that I think all other music is garbage. If you like the 70's so much, then go grab you a corded house phone and a glass full of tang. Not to mention, you're literally saying this on youtube...couldn't even dream of that in the 70's. Nice try, loser
Ah the 70s and 80s, when the crime rate was higher, cocaine was everywhere, and people had so much unprotected sex that new and exciting STDs came out.
😂 I’m only just seeing this but it still made my day!! You put together a video that we all found helpful and this tosser chirps you about the music!?! What a knob. Hahaha Anyway, thank you, Bearded Reviews
How ironic, you act just like the people who probably told you that KISS was satanic music or elvis was of the devil. You don't know what music is but love to tell other people what you think about it.
The remote- I probably won't use it, I may use it, but I really doubt it Lol it sounds like your going to use it, or maybe try it, but probably -wont- will use it, Lol

Does the knife advice apply to axes as well? I need to chop some wood so better safe than sorry
They sound pretty good. Thank you, Mr. Segura...
Love to see you do a review after owning them for a while if your still happy or wish they were different in some way.
RUclipsrs should take notes to make their reviews way more fun like this
yessir!!!
Did you have any trouble connecting to Bluetooth? I read tonnes of positive reviews before ordering but a few people mentioned connectivity issues. I want them to be able to play music to jam along with and want to be able to use BT primarily.
No I don't. Just make sure you keep your remote
Can this speaker pair with edifier t5 subwoofer?

Used them for four years. Recommend it. Used it for 100 people outdoor party and ther were loud with quality music. Keep them away from water 💧
Is there in pre out for sub?
@ 3:22 you say there are 2 "balanced inputs" - they are not - they are unbalanced.
THX for your review. One question to you. I was thinking of using Edifier 2000db speaker connected to my 52 inch TV set. Would it work tethered. My TV set 10 years old.
They have RCA inputs on the back I believe
@@beardedreviews Or optical
Buy a newer set and use the optical input.

In the market for some speakers like this. Would you recommend for a smart tv for a small living room apartment? Very cool review btw.
I’d go for the Edifier R1700BT if I was you. I have them for my TV, record turntable and I can use them with my phone. They’re great (and cheap).
Studio monitor?
Yea I have seen alot of people utilize these as monitors
@@beardedreviews As a studio monitor, how do you think a speaker is? Compared to most studio monitors?

I'm on this dudes side ☝️ that track sucked massive balls.
Liked your vid. Please don't link that "music". Instead, link some classic rock or even new rock instead.

says it all someone purporting to be a reviewer , half the video wasted on babble, then fails to connect speaker, then a very vague summing up

Horrible that Edifier, the bass hurt my ears, boomby
The worst speaker i have ever bought.
Edifier is a Chinese based company. I don't support Dictatorships if I can help it TYVM.

I can guarantee your house is full of Chinese products.
Stop typing then.
you are in every edifer review. which means you have no life.
RawLu lol the device you are typing on will be made in China. What a complete idiot.
