To my ears via Topping L30 + JVC FW01: Klipsch R-15 has a prominent warmth to the mids at the expense of slight lack luster bass quantity. Stunning vocals. Edifier R2000DB definitely more balanced by a slight margin with bass presence. Warmish sound signature. Detailing wise both are on par, same amount of crispiness. As such Klipsch R-15 for the warm vocals, Edifier R2000BD for a versatile warm signature.
I really like your videos. Based on your review I bought a pair of Microlab B77. I couldn't be happier. They sound amazing. I wish you a great day and keep up with your uploads.
The Klipsch sounds 'tinny' compared to the Edifier. However, with a subwoofer, the right amp, and tweaking, the Klipsch setup would be my choice. For a desktop setup for editing/mixing the Edifier seems like a "no brainer". I ordered some and am looking forward to checking them out. Thanks for the content. At 4:40 I could not hear any audio (New Orleans Jazz) until the next track (Classical Mood). Cheers, Jeff (Garage Maker Guy)
After conversation with Digital Stereophony and checking almost all his films i bought R2000DB and I really enjoy it. Of course after 2 or 3 years of using my shitty Genius I need to get used to new gear and how it play. Great sound in rock/metal which I listen most. I added some high tones and reduced bass (by tone control, good to have it) to made it more suited to me. Also bluetooth connection is a much more useful than I can imagine but quality is a little worse than by wires. Now I ordered pair of acoustic isolation pads because I fill vibration on my computer desk and some bass disruption. In my opinion that was good spent 200 pounds. Next I will buy better sound card than from motherboard to improve quality sound even more. Cheers!
Thanks for the follow up Seweryn! I am happy You enjoy Your new speakers ;) I use R2000DB as my bedroom speakers and I have them setup on "classic" EQ mode with slightly boosted treble and the bass attentuated just a bit as well, just like You do, and I find this setup closest to neutral. Cheers!
That's funny, I was getting ready to buy some R2000DBs on Cyber Monday, and after listening to them on this and one other vid against some JBLs, I am PASSING on them. Dull as dishwater to my ear.
The Klipsch are probably a better long-term buy for the sub out, but here in Canada, I can get the R2000DB at Costco for $259 CAD ($199 USD). The best price I can find the R-15PM for is around $400 CAD. I can also get the Edifier S350DB (with the sub) for $418 CAD (also Costco) which would be a better buy than the Klipsch IMO.
I like the mid upper end on the Klipsch but the Edifier gives me that rich bottom end I need and the highs are good enough. Throw those tweets in the Edifier and call it a day👍
They both sound like they have no bass in terms of both how low they can go and force/impact. I'm not too picky on how low a speaker's bass can go but I am very picky on how hard and sharp/tight the impact is. Both these speakers seem to lack in both depth and impact.
I have both of these and heard them side by side, i tell you. the klipsch is way better. The 2000db has a harsh sound with alot of mud in it.. suitable for heavy music
@@karlhungus545 i bought the edifier first and really hated it.. then i bought the klipsch and it was much better.. did a side by side comparision and the klipsch blow them out.. Because of its tractrix horn. The sound was clearer.
@@хорошийчеловек-л6я Well, they are almost double the price of the R2000DB, so they really should sound better I guess. I can't tell much difference from this video.
@@хорошийчеловек-л6я I think I'd rather get the Edifier S350DB for $417 CAD than the Klipsch for almost $500. I have the R2000DB ($259) coming today and I'll probably order the S350DB after a few weeks to compare them. I can always return one to Costco.

This is not a bad price for this speaker, but if You are looking for a speaker for nearfield/desktop setup than I would say skip it as it has problems with excessive hissing. How You will be using Your speakers?

Edifier definately have more presence. Klipsch tweeter is better, that´s it.

yes true. the klipsch seem to hit at the 70hz+ range but when its low it dosent hit as much. This can be fixed with a subwoofer though.
do you need to set the r2000db on "classic" eq mode only once or you have to set it everytime you switch on the speakers?
No it remembers
i opened the tweeter on the r2000db and replace with a thicker copper wire and now the tweeter sounds crispier
Hi, it's true you do this ?
Wich edifier speaker do you like the most? I'm thinking of a pair for both tv multimedia and recording and using as a monitor speaker
Fredrik Hasth check edifier R2600 2way 2 rca analog imputs or R2700 3way 2 rca and 2digital imputs one optical one coaxial. both with remote control.

What turntable You use? Does it have a pre amplifier built in?
Its a old Kenwood KD-3100, I think it doesn't have. I have an option to get the Edifier R2000DB for 169 euros.
What about Edifier S1000DB for 280?
The edifiers dont have sub out
Klipsch always winner
Klipsch sounds cleaner.
Normal reaction to raised treble though... in "deep" the Edifier appear to go deeper in the bas.
@@Hirnlego999 I bought the Edifier R2000DB and cranked the treble!
Not even close...and that’s without playing the exact same clips.
Worst tracks. One can't decide anything while hearing these. Previous tracks was good
Klipsch wins (by a small margin).
Afifi N. Yes but is 2 times more expensive and only slightly better high freqency. R2000 DB is best buy in his price range.
Those Klipsch highs sound more natural but their lower end sounds ridiculously bad compared to the Edifier.
