Just discovered your channel today whilst looking for small-ish PC speakers that are actually musical and not hellishly V-shaped. Phenomenal channel - exactly what was sorely missing with the abysmal quality of so many PC speakers by mass manufacturers and scarce reviews of dubious quality. So now I sit here using an Audioquest Dragonfly Red with Sennheiser IE800 with Comply foam tips and figured out that 100$ R1280DB are exactly what I want. Thank you so much for this channel - please keep it up!
Edifier is a great value. If you want some smaller speakers the JBL 104s are a great value as well..id say better for mids and highs but soundstage slightly less wide
The price difference is mostly for the tech that is loaded in S3000pro. If one doesn't care about BT 5, USB input, Hi-res audio, wireless connectivity between speakers, superior design and build in a compact size , then R2750DB is good value for money just for the sound quality.
s3000 has too much upper mid and treble. it's smooth but sounds like a shelf eq raised from like 5k and up. also lacks low mid warmth. very nice smooth bass extension though where the other rolls off rather fast. the r2750 does seem to push the mids slightly though to where it sounds boxy.
I'm kinda limited to placement - I can only place it inside the "furniture" where the TV is at. How much you think it will affect the sound? I'm kinda hopeful due to the front porting of 2750 ... 2850 is out now. Looking forward to it :)

Hi guys, I need help. I have visited several sound stores and asked about the Edififer R2850. I have been told that Edifier in general does not provide good sound and this has come to my attention because of the very good comments I have heard on this channel. In my country, Argentina, there is not a single store that has Edifier equipment, except for the official store which, unfortunately, does not have a showroom and they only sell their products online. In other words, I would have to buy it without having heard it. Could you help me decide? Do you think I should "risk" buying it? I have been told that Edifier is not hifi and provides sound far below any hifi stereo system. Is that true? Does this Edififer model worth it? Are there maybe some better options for the same price? Very similar sound. Just the 3000Pro have more features. For a desk or hard wired connections I would go for the R2750 and pay less then half the price.
