Patti labelle is the original singer with Nona and Sarah called labelle but Patti did not write the song Google it. Also, if you've ever heard a Patti labelle interview about this song. She clearly states that she not the other two knew what the song meant when they recorded it. I mean who writes a song and doesn't know what it means when they record it? No one.

Ms patti labelle is a legend. That voice is so powerful and beautiful. Fun fact: patti always refers to Mariah as a her god daughter. She speaks so highly of her and her voice. They’ve performed together a few times. Patti asked Mariah to present her with the lifetime achievement award. Mariah did a tribute to patti and patti end up doing a tribute to Mariah years later😢.

Pink is one hell of vocalist. She has never lip synced. She can reach any note easily suspended from ropes in the air. Christina is a power vocalist, Mya is a singer, and of course, Lil Kim is a rapper. Singer and vocalist are so different. Go Patti, no effort. Lovely runs.

Just came across this reaction. You guys are great. If you watch the interview Pink did right after she did this collaboration with Christina, Pink said Christina came into this whole thing saying she would have the most lines in the song and her whole attitude was terrible. Pink is so underrated and it's a shame because her voice is phenomenal.
I believe that. Christina gives those vibes. I’m a pink fan but I’m not a Christina fan. I love a few songs form her but I couldn’t listen to her all day. Pink voice is honestly slept on. I feel like she could keep up vocally with Christina but it seem like they wanted Christina to outshine everyone in the music video and live. The other mics were turned down.

Why is it that Christina is always the one getting the negative vibe? Whenever she is adamant about what she is really passionate about everybody hates and disrespects her. This was her gig. It was her moment. After 15 years, Pink herself made it outterly clear she is a huge fan and supporter of Christina and that it was not her who made all that problem but Ron Fair, Christina's executive manager. All of us have flaws and made all types of mistakes, cast the first stone that who hasn't sinned, but it is pretty unfair how many people hate Christina Aguilera just because she is very defensive of what she loves and is passionate about. Man, I guess it all has to do with Christina being the daughter of immigrants (Irish-Ecuadorian) and originally Catholic plus not fully Anglo-Saxon white, and really knowing how to sing in multiple languages without having a strong musical background or technique. It is awful to read all this negative comments towards hers but nobody says anything about Pink's immaturity and bosyness at the time, Gaga's obscenity, or Beyonce's wanting to be everywhere and own anything every single time even if it isn't meant for her. The world is really upside down.

You guys need to watch more Patti Labelle performance. She is notorious for overpowering entire stages of people with her voice. Being a dramatic soprano her voice will overpower just about everyone especially in her prime.
Also the sound man had Christina's mic turned up more than the others!!! She was slated to be the "star" on that recording!!! Check the video while they are changing, that's Maya blowing after Christina then Christina comes back in... Maya can really blow too! Pink is no slouch either!!
They performed this song LIVE at the GRAMMYS!!! That's the night they WON their GRAMMY!!! So proud of these ladies. The song went #1 on BILLBOARD and then went on to win the MTV Video of the YEAR as well!! Lil'Kim's music videos are fire 🔥 y'all should check out their GRAMMY win tho

The reason you can hear Christina better is because they had her mic turned up higher. I remember it was drama at the time, with the other singers saying that they couldn't hear themselves when they were up there because their mics were so low.

An example of the moment when she sing with Madona and Britney. They lower her microphone because her voice is stronger that the others.
