Christina Aguilera and Britney Spears starred in the tv show the Mickey Mouse Club together when they were around 11/12 years old. Justin Timberlake, Ryan Gosling, Keri Russel, and JC Chasez were also on the show. The funny thing is Britney and Christina had nothing against each other but the media made it seem like they were really competitive with each other.

I was maybe 23 when this came out and my friends and I were at the club every chance we could get. Better believe that when this song came on, everyone was on the dance floor. And yes, as others have commented this video was VERY controversial at the time. I was just breaking away from a conservative church culture at the time and the fact that I owned this CD and played it constantly in my car had my church leaders clutching their pearls 😂
