My physical therapist told me to get a set of these weights to help get stronger after a concussion. They do the job. I like them better than hand weights.
@@facundopirola1729 yapping to yap. Russian KB swings are to eye level and American KB is completely OH. just say you don’t know anything about exercising
I usually squat when going down (in prayer squat stance, and I only bring the kettlebell up to shoulder level. Just focus on keeping core tight throughout. Oh and clench the cheeks when bing the weight up in a standing position (knees still slightly bent.
@@s.marshian8455 there should be no squats performed at all in KB swing. You hinge your hips with soft knees as bow forward and drive your heels down as you thrust your hips forward to original position. The KB does not need to rise up to shoulder height. Mid stomach with soft elbows close to the body is what's needed. Think of it like a glad flapping in the wind. That's how the arms should move at the top of the movement. Way too many think the weight has to go high and they usually make this a two movement exercise. Usually because of the weight. What people should be focusing on is the power drive generated from the hips, glutes and core
I saw a friend of mine do this one day and scolded him about it . I told him this American kettlebell swing is a real dangerous and moronic exercise. He did not believe me at first but he must’ve looked it up later and now he stopped doing them.
Kenan Ozer it is very dangerous, the Farmers walk, and kettle bell swing are both American workouts, and are meant to be performed in a controlled environment, and under specific conditions.
No. There are three "ways" to execute the KB swing with the arms movement; the CrossFit way (seen in video) , the group fitness way (parallel to shoulder height) then, there's the regular way (arms are close to the body and just slightly flaps open at the top of the swing focusing more on the glutes, hamstrings, lower/mid back and core)
This is terrible in several ways. Back hyper-extended, shoulders badly torqued by a useless swing which uses inertia, not muscle, ending in an off-balance position with the bell directly over your head. Maybe there's some reason for it, but it's GROSSLY IRRESPONSIBLE to put this video up where beginners could see it, and try doing this for their first-ever kettlebell swing.
The *stupid* kettlebell swing, aka "American" swing. Like many Crossfit-invented movements, there is no functional purpose to it, unlike the original "Russian" swing which is an excellent hip hinge power movement.
This is NOT correct. The Bell must be pulled and pushed up as in the Muscle Snatch... CrossFit movements ARE LINKED TOGETHER...and this way of doing it is not
Well done CrossFit, the worst example of a kettlebell swing out there. Well done
Isnt that what crossfit is? Doing exercises wrong to screw up your joints?
It’s actually correct form 😂
Que GRAN EJERCICIO AMIG@S !
Muchísimas gracias por compartir!

Great video. Only the title is wrong. It should have read "The kettlebell swing - how not to do it."
😂😂 true
It is absolutely correct
Please explain sir

If anyone thinks this is a proper kettlebell swing, you're sadly mistaken
Hi, could you do a video and show us the "correct" way to do it?

This guy is very knowledgeable in kettlebell training and proper form
Good way to mess up your shoulders and lower back. Look at how far back his upper back goes relative to his lower back!
Bunch of Gymbros with no mobility on this comment section 😂😂😂😂
Guys, it's an American kettlebell swing. Next discussion

No no no..this is not a kettlbell swing..
The only bell I'll be swinging is some Blue Bell ice cream 😂
Lol, I know that's right! I miss Blue Bell ice cream.
Guys guys, he really just has a strong hips.
Me gusta 👍🏼
No. This is all wrong, this is a shoulder wrecker. This is also exactly what is wrong with Cross Fit. No technique, just a lot of everything.
This couldn’t require less technique. Getting out of bed requires more technique
There goes the old back.🙄👏
Too high!
Does he have to go so far up high with the kettlebell ?
No. This is horrible. Just launch the kettlebell with your hips, that's enough. Not even shouldersheight.

Swing????????????????
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

Further proof everything CrossFit teaches is not only wrong but dangerous
Your source: Trust me bro 😂
Garbage move.
Taking the kettlebell beyond shoulder height puts the shoulders into impingement territory.
Not if you have good shoulder mobility. But I agree it's a stupid movement because it turns a great hip power move into a cheating front raise.
Even with good shoulder mobility you are still into impingement territory.
Risk vs reward
Not good
This is an american swiiiiing
Aaaagggggghhhhh
Brah I’m gonna crack my skull if I do it like this

Wow. Sad that this is on the crossfit channel and has so many views.
So much ignorance in these comments from so many exercise experts with ACE certifications or none at all
This is so typical of crossfit... over do great exercises to the point of injury
🤔
I wonder how many dislikes this video got…
