I get to see architects on 19th feb in Australia, absolutely love you Sam. I watched the interview about him talking about the hate comments with Tom, I hope everyone that said that knows they have something coming for them real soon and it’s not gonna be fun.
Good riddance to Josh’s ego getting the better of him. He was single handedly selected by Tom out of inspiration and trust for his ability to carry Architects. All he did was turn them into a lack luster arena band (parkway drive moves 2.0). Tom would be shaking in his grave over the garbage they have released. Going back and listening to how tight Tom’s riffs were is bittersweet. I don’t think they will ever come close to recreating what Tom was capable of. Bunch of brilliant talented artists playing brain dead arena metal. Copying Drown vibes from nearly a decade ago. If you told 16 year old me that I would ever write these words I’d never believe it. No disrespect to the boys, I love you guys. Unfortunately having your heart and soul behind something doesn’t mean it will equal perfection. I think you strayed from what Architects was dumbed it down and made it all generic. Good on you guys for making what felt right. It’s just way out of touch with what Tom could create 😢
I think it’s fucking crazy that you speak as if you actually knew Tom more than this band and even Dan himself. Bands evolve and experiment. You don’t have to like it but don’t act like you know them and especially Tom and speak on his behalf. You sound like one of those weirdos on Reddit. Its Disrespectful as fuck tbh
I truly think this is the worst thing that I have read. What the hell man. It’s not Josh that made Architects switch sound. They grew up, they can’t make the same fucking record over and over. Dan said it himself, the way that he could handle his rage was through angry music back in the day. But now he realised that music is so much more than just anger and rage. They we’re brave enough to made a huge change in their style, and I get it that it’s not everyones cup of tea. But come on. Tom would be so fucking proud of what they have done, and that they are still doing this. They still respect and honour his legacy. Architects is at the top of their game, and they seem to love what they are doing. I know that I believe in them, and as a musician myself I envy their creativity.
