When you said our name I screamed lol thank you for this kind words, all the glory to our Lord Jesus! btw my Parents were A/G ministers too!
My top 5 in no particular order... Stryper Deliverance Rage of Angels Bride Angellica There are soooo many more I listen to still from growing up in the 70's, 80's, and 90's. Petra started it all for me. That's when I first found out about Christian Rock! Then I found David Meece and Bryan Duncan. I thought that was pretty much going to be it. Then I heard Stryper's 1986 Album, "To Hell With The devil" and I was hooked! Are you kidding me?!?! Barren Cross, Creed - Sign of Victory (The original Creed, not the secular Creed with Scott Stap) Detritus, Halo, X-Sinner, Zion, Lightforce, Bloodgood, Ransom (or Randsom?) Man, there were so many. I regrettably sold over 600 CD's, mostly Christian metal/rock bands that I wish I never had sold, back in 2009. Now I am trying to remember them all. Such good stuff.
Haha I cheered and gave a raised fist and shouted "Yes!" in my car when you showed Theocracy as #1! We are limited in available music down here in little New Zealand so I'm glad we share #1. Thanks for the recommendations and may God bless you!
Great video! Some bands you mentioned are a head scratcher. My top few bands are Stryper, Saint, Petra and Rez. Some other top bands are: Bloodgood/Les Carlson, Deliverance, Daniel Band, Jerusalem, Leviticus, Sacred Warrior, Shout/Ken Tamplin, Whitecross and X-Sinner and likely a few more I'm forgetting. I am working on going through the material/albums for Theocracy (last 2) and Narnia which have a lot of good material. I tend to include bands that have at least 5 albums that I mostly enjoy. Bands with a short discography or I lost interest after 2 or 3 albums like Mastedon, Holy Soldier, Doe Happy and Guardian also have great material.
Love your channels!! You had me at Stryper! Love being introduced to new music! Love your Bible channel as well! Happy to see you include Catholic Bibles.
There is no Christian Metal without Stryper starting it in 1984 !!! One of the greatest Christian Hard Rock/ Metal cds of all time is Step On It by Jet Circus! Those guys made one of the funnest cds to listen to as a Christian 🤣🙏🎤🎸🥁
I'm checking these out right now. So far, Holy Name is great, and Chaotic Resemblance is an amazing surprise! Thanks so much! I can't wait to check out the rest too.
Love this video. You’ve given me a lot of great suggestions that I’m going to check out. My top five metal bands are as follows with an honorable mention. 1. Stryper these guys after all these are cranking out great music and heavier than the stuff they cranked out in the eighties. Love that stuff as well. 2. Skillet I saw these guys live and they are amazing. 3. Bride. They’ve put some great music that is along the lines of their earlier albums before kinetic Faith. 4. Bloodgood. I’ve always loved these guys. 5. Sacred Warrior. I love all their albums. Honorable mentions for me Whitecross, Barren Cross, Shout, Guardian with Jamie Rowe as the lead singer, Rage Of Angels, Deliverance, Tamplin, Ken Tamplin, Holy Soldier with Steven Patrick as the lead singer, Fireflight, and a local group from Tampa Florida that never made it big but rocked called St Warren. Die Happy, and Vengeance Rising before Roger Martinez turned satanist.
Holy name: in addition to Tommy Green and Joe Holt, the HolyName project features mixing and mastering by Ryan Leitru, additional vocals from The REV Gang choir, Brook Reeves of Impending Doom, Eric Gregson of xDeathstarx, Joe Advent, Danon Saylor of Nothing Left, Ryan Clark of Demon Hunter, and Mike Felker of Convictions, with beats produced by Hunter Babcock of Wolf Skin.
Not sure if I could make a top 5 Christian metal artists list but I do enjoy the more metalcore and extreme metal side of the scene. I really loved the Holy Name album, it was one of my favorites from 2023 and I love that it's basically the spiritual successor to Sleeping Giant. I will give you a sub
Extol, Fleshkiller, Horde, Mortification, and Antestor are all GOATS of different facets of extreme Christian metal. You get old school progressive, modern prog, unblack, death.
I love your included Chaotic Resemblance, their lyrics are the bomb. And my top 5 are: Stryper, Blooodgood, Disciple, Chaotic Resemblance and Theocracy.
I really wanted to include Disciple but I think I am going to include them in the Rock Top 5. The categories are sometimes unclear, but I think Disciple would be rock.
I don’t know if these two albums qualify for metal, but they have stood the test of time. 1. Pillars of Humanity, by The Crucified 2. Sin Disease, by Scaterd Few Amazing front to back. Both of them.
Great choices! When i hear rankings nowadays, almost never hear the OGs called out. I was into Saint, Barren Cross, Bride, Believee, Deliverence, Demon Hunter, Stavesacre. But i also love newer stuff. The thing that bothers me is the lack of any kind of bridge or connection from the true OG Christian metal beginning to now where they are all over the place,on secular labels. No altar calls or pamphlet. No true ministry of any kind. And no acknowledgment of the origins. I could never pick 5......ever. Great video bro. Blessings!
HolyName’s watchword is preachcore, and their self-described sound of “holy drone violent worship” makes a lot of sense when you hear their songs. The new album is essentially a love letter to Christ and a tribute to the history of eastern orthodoxy.
Let's remember Daniel Band ! (Canada) Their "Run From The Darkness" is an absolute winner every track a gem. I WORE OUT the cassette years back & in 2020 discovered this superb album was remastered & issued on CD. Anyone here heard Daniel Band ? Petra is my overall can't lose band - with either Greg X Volz or John Schlitt singing.
I gotta give a top 25. There are just so many amazing Christian bands out there that don't get any attention and would like to introduce them if I can. If we're only focusing on metal bands, then I have to exclude my 1st & 20th favorite bands, Skillet and Blindeside, because they are rock bands. My top 25: 1. Fight the Fury 2. Stryper 3. Sweet & Lynch 4. Sunbomb 5. Disciple 6. Sacred Warrior 7. Chaotic Resemblance 8. Whitecross 9. Impending Doom 10. Mortification 11. Ordained Fate 12. Soul Embraced 13. Pillar 14. Ultimatum 15. Haven 16. Eternal Decision 17. Living Sacrifice 18. HB 19. Hawthorn 20. Vengeance Rising 21. Crimson Thorn 22. Metanoia 23. Becoming the Archetype 24. Xalt 25. Extol
Theocracy is my most favorite metal band. And my other is Petra( although that's more like rock and not metal) because this was playing a lot at home when I was a kid and I still love John Schlit's voice.
I salute EVERY Christian rock/metal band for spreading the message to those who otherwise may not hear the Truth! However, no band has done more in that regard than Stryper. Thank you for sharing you I never heard of theocracy and I’m enjoying their sound!
I see you mentioned Roxx, bro you should check out a brand new band on their roster called “Transcendent”. Debut album drops July 26, and they have released their first single called “Free Your Soul” The video is on Roxx’s channel..super great 👍
Top 3 I listen to and like for sure. 4 and 5 I’ve never heard of. Red is a favorite as well. You should check out Demon Hunter, 9 lashes, Decyfer down, pillar, Narnia, Thousand foot Krutch, Alter Bridge, Manafest is kind of a cross between rap and hard rock/metal. And I’m sure you’ve heard of one of my all time favorites. Skillet.

Cool bands . One of my favorite bands if not my very favorite was Messiah Prophet. Charlie Clark had such a powerful voice that in my opinion set the standard for metal vocalists. First of all my favourite christian metal band is Tourniquet, i dont know if you are knowing them but their drummer sadly passed away during the last couple of years so i dont know if there is anything coming from them soon..(he was the main writer of the music), then its the youtube channel -deus metallicus- where they have very good christian praise music in the style of heavy simphonic metal... ceep on rocking!!
Oh no! I did not hear this! So sad! They were also one of my favorite bands too. Sad to hear about the original lead singer leaving the band, to the opposite of what he WAS doing with Tourniquet. Like he pulled a Vengeance Rising lead singer there. And now this?! Too young. He was the heart and soul of the group. VERY gifted drummer indeed.
@@leeforex8441what guy Ritter left coz he became an atheist? Always wondered why he left he was so good on first 2 albums, luke Easter just wasn't the same

@@christianrockmusiccollective you know-I think Christian heavy metal is such a blessing from God. I got into metal watching a bunch of documentaries while recovering from cancer. Dream theater is the first band (which has some Christian meme bees)I listened to as a result of Christian author Ted Dekker. I soon discovered Theocracy when it was only Matt smith with only one album. However, so much is so good. There is a Japanese band touted as japan’s only Christian metal band. They’re pretty good even if I forget their name. Check them out

Martin Simson’s Destroyer of Death
Yes and he also wrote and recorded most of the guitar stuff as well as drums, dude was so talented
@@leeforex8441what guy Ritter left coz he became an atheist? Always wondered why he left he was so good on first 2 albums, luke Easter just wasn't the same
Ted kirpatrick
@@lincthomas7178 I mean, I should say I was not there myself to witness it so it IS 2nd hand knowledge, so just keep that in mind. So it's just what I heard. I wish I could remember what the source was where I heard it from. Sorry...
Guys, do yourselves a favor and try out SIGNUM REGIS. Anything they release is awesome.
I’ve got all their albums and made a video too. Love them! In fact they made my top five album cover video.
Theocracy, Seventh Avenue, Jacob s Dream, Signum Regis
You are correct on your number one! Best band out there!
Signum Regis and Seventh Avenue are GREAT too.
Check them out
#1. With Blood Comes Cleansing
#2. Impending Doom
#3. A Plea For Purging
#4. Voluntary Mortification or Cleansing of the Temple (Tie)
#5. As I Lay Dying (The most commercially successful, but #5 for trying to kill your ex wife).
