Solent Ships is operated from Town Quay, the Old Town quarter of Southampton, where the Mayflower departed 400 years ago.
Utilising various cameras our small crew are dedicated in providing a window onto our historic waterfront in the Solent region. The ‘Captain’ of our crew is a licenced drone pilot and day skipper, with an added passion for photography.
This channel has a large library of drone footage, documenting (with commentary) the various vessels that sail by one of the busiest Ports in the UK. At Solent Ships, you can also access 24 hour live streaming video of the day-to-day movements of all shapes and sizes of marine traffic, an ever-changing view that is enjoyed by cruise ship enthusiasts and water watchers worldwide.
The channel is expanding with new camera locations and with regular live commentary and millions of views a month, Solent Ships is the most interactive shipping-based channel on RUclips. I was sat in roughly the same spot at midnight at the turn of the millennium, along with the fireworks the horns really made it special

Thanks shipmate, glad you liked it.
I could hear that in Hill Lane, thought they went early as they hadn't put his crown on yet on the Sky feed, guessing the streaming was delayed in case of anything bad?
Sounds like a slight delay on the Sky feed shipmate. They did go off at excatly 12:00, not sure what time the actual crown bit happened.
Absolutely brilliant ❤ thank you Captain 💙
Glad you liked it shipmate
I didn't know if Sheildhall would be fired up, or connected to compressed air, for the occasion
I didn't hear Sheildhall shipmate, but there was a strong south westerly in port, which would have taken the sounds away, as Sheildhall is at the other end of the port.
Parp!
Excuse you shipmate
