Kratos would storm Asgard by himself to hunt down Thor, killing everyone in his path including civilians like he did in Greece. He would even be at odds with Freya and the rest of the Nine Realms because they want to trigger Surtur against Odin, something Kratos would never allow because it would risk Thor dying to the hands of another god. Thus Kratos would declare, "If all of the Nine Realms will deny me my vengeance, then all of the Nine Realms will die."
And so Ragnarok begins. And it is Kratos.

Even scarier is that this kratos is way stronger than his past self which meant if atrues actually died his rage alone would destroy the nine realms which is why I have a theory why the reason that the norns informed kratos about atrues death by the hands of heimdall was to make kratos stop him before he gets the chance cuz if the norns didn't tell him atrues would have died and as a result the gods would have faced a worse fate than ragnarok

@John Kult of course she is to blame and so is Thor. They both know that and they learnt. That is why they both stopped drinking. To be better for thrud. Thor relapsed because of the pressure for Odin, but they both are responsible for what happened to their sons. But their responsibility in magni and modi’s death pales in comparison to Odin’s. His obsession with the mask and knowing what happens when he dies lead them all down this path to ruin.

They made Thor a shockingly deep character, and tragic character. You can see just how ashamed he is of himself, and how stressed and depressed he is throughout the game. You can tell he wants to rebel against Odin, but doesn’t due to Odin’s manipulation.
And that moment you realize Sif isn’t talking about Atreus, but she’s talking about Odin
And this is still a masterpiece in 2024 :)

GOW 4 had a prequel comic book, so they might make a prequel comic book about it too, and if they do, hopefully it would be about the Aesirs, like exploring Thor, Heimdall, and Baldur's relationships, while also exploring their relationships with their children, including Magni, Modi, Thrud, and more. Speaking of, Baldur actually has a son named Forseti who is mentioned in the game. Hopefully the comic would also explore Baldur and Forseti, and how Forseti felt when his father was driven insane and later his death.

I believe Thor is one of the best overall characters throughout the game. Yeah, we all know Thor may be a Giant killer and does what Odin orders and uses him to do despite Odin being a father to Thor. Thor would have been hero throughout all the realms but he stood by Odin which was his biggest mistake. Thor seeked revenge for the death of his sons, but Odin seems careless about them whatsoever which he considered Kratos it was "self-defense". And the death of his sons has changed Thor, being more worried with his daughter and showing more resentment at his father as Odin only cares about himself.

Both Thor and Sif were piss-poor parents, but given their examples, is it really that much of a surprise? Thor especially was doomed to fail from the start. He was trained by Odin to be a brutish killing machine who resolved his problems solely by violence. Odin never taught him compassion or how to peacefully communicate his feelings. All he knows is violence. Everything else he knew about parenting he picked along the way, which as we can see clearly wasn’t enough for him to be a consistently good father.

@@mhiization Yeah, although it's not hard to see why he didn't take it out on Odin either. Mimir does mention how when Thor was young, Odin used to discipline him through physical abuse. But after Thor got older and much more physically powerful than Odin, that's probably when he switched from physical abuse to verbal and emotional abuse, since it would make Thor much less likely to fight back. The ESPECIALLY tragic thing is it seems to have worked...Thor doesn't stand up to his father because he probably doesn't think he CAN, he's convinced that Odin has all the power and that things can't change (at least until the very end).
