Howdy y’all, I think this goes without saying that we’re not talking about the Colleen situation. Grooming is not a personal flaw, it is objectively bad. Also this episode was filmed before her uh? Apology video? If you could call it that. Other than that, hope you enjoy the episode!
Genuinely was afraid people were going to mention that in the comments and say you’re defending people who actually cannot take accountability for inappropriate behaviors without being on the defense.
While it isn't the topic of the episode, I really appreciate Kendahl's openness about her ADHD and the difficulties she has. It's very comforting to hear someone describe experiences I've felt so alone in, and explain them in a way I think might actually be comprehensible to outsiders. I will try to keep in mind the way she's said things when communicating in the future about my own ADHD.
yes, totally appreciated this part too!!! also hoping she someday shares some of the things she has in place for her relationship lol i have adhd and keep forgetting things for my partner
I commented on a video about "living alone culture" like a week or so ago and mentioned how it sucks that disabled people aren't often included in the convo about living alone and how living alone is often construed as a way to "test yourself" and grow up, which is true, but I told a story about how my dad was hard on me about it, telling me that it's essential for me to live alone before I even consider living with a roommate, he just wanted me to see how the "real world" was without help. But he forgot to consider in the conversation that I'm a type 1 diabetic and living alone could be dangerous for me. I cited the example that it could be bad if my blood sugar went low while I was sleeping, and no one was there to help me. The comments were filled with people saying, "Hire a nurse" "Not all diabetics are like that" and "You're making yourself a victim". I'm sorry??? Is it insane for me to want people to consider that YES, it is better for me to live with someone who can help me?? Is it a crime to want to be included in a conversation that often centers around "Independence" so often being defined by individual ability when others have different levels of abilities? I never said I was speaking for ALL diabetics, and it wasn't supposed to be a "woe is me" conversation. TLDR; People can be so insufferable online when anyone says ANYTHING
I'm a type 1 diabetic too and the idea of living alone scares the crap out of me for that reason. I feel you. There's been many times I couldn't make it to the kitchen or my snack stash and needed help, once I even had to just call an ambulance while home alone just because my sugar was so low and I got scared (and of course not quite thinking straight from low sugar). "Hire a nurse" like do these people realize how much that would cost on top of the cost of insulin and supplies?! And how common low blood sugars are for basically all of us?
Not wanting to live alone is very valid, and in my opinion living with a roommate/s.o. Is so much more fun and definitely cheaper for everyone involved. I can’t cite anything bc I don’t remember but I’m fairly certain there are few studies about how much better it is to live with others than alone
@@fie1917I will personally pay pal you $1k if you can actually find those studies because that simply does not make sense. Everyone has different living styles.
Hey! I usually dont comment on videos but I just wanted to say that as a regular viewer of this podcast, I simply enjoy watching the dynamic between you two. With that being said, I know that you two strive to have a single topic for each episode, but I feel that as you two both have ADHD and may not like reading very much, that may not be super enjoyable for you guys, and i just wanted to say that i would enjoy watching you guys simple ramble if that suited you guys best. I also have ADHD and the scattered conversations that you guys have are always fun to watch, and I don't want you guys to feel like you have to fit into a certain podcast format or act a certain way for your viewers to enjoy your content. Of course this is only coming from one person, but I would watch whatever makes you both the most comfortable simply because I like your humor and I like you guys as people. But, you guys may enjoy this format and it works best for you, which is totally fine. I also like this format, I just wanted to say that I hope you dont feel trapped and I think your viewers would be happy to watch whatever you choose to put out. Anyways, I hope you're having a great week and I apologize for this being such a long comment
@SnailShortage I'm going to assume you missed the joke. They are making a chronically online take as an ironic response to a video about chronically online people.
You obviously have Wi-Fi, because you made this comment. you APPROPRIATE the lifestyle of people, who don't have access to the internet which is actually really PROBLEMATIC and I think, you shd reflect on that
Okay so I’m a ~31 year old lady~ and I was thinking about what you were saying about people reaching 30 and not working on themselves and I honestly think it applies to everyone, no matter the age. Like working on yourself is a constant and the younger you are the more you think that one day when you’re older you’ll “arrive” but I don’t think that’s true either. I think if you’re making progress-however you define that-then you’re doing a pretty great job. Hopefully that wasn’t an chronically online take lol. I love the podcast and to whomever is reading this, 30 and over or 30 and under, I think you’re doing a good job!
this podcast is genuinely so informative. i’m a psychology major and i love hearing about your takes and adding vocabulary to better communicate to people around me who are more black and white thinking. i’m also in gender/sexuality studies and LOVE sarah’s take on the white, able-bodied straight woman making the comment about trans women lacking the intersectional understanding of womanhood that goes beyond herself
I know people talk about cleaning while listening to podcasts all the time (which I do), but cleaning is also my job as a custodian lol. I love listening to y'all as I work, it makes my shifts so much more fun! 💜
I know at some point this podcast will end, but I have to tell you, you two are my comfort creators. Pleased this as long as possible. It's so helpful.
33 year old here! The best thing about being in my 30s is that I have finally grasped some mental and emotional stability. Still dont have money for therapist but I do what I can to keep myself moving forward! Treating social media as a casual interest, instead of a daily/hourly one, has helped me a lot! It's hard work not to fall into depression again (like I did for all of my 20s) but all that hard work is abso-fucking-lutley worth it! I'm a more empathetic person who can handle criticism way better without letting it destroy me. I dont stress about being up to date with all the newest media and trends anymore (FOMO is no longer an issue!) 30s is bliss. Dont even care that my back always hurts! I'll take that over 20s and teens any day!
YAY BCC club posted! I love playing these while I do my laundry and get ready for the day to help motivate me because I have really severe ADHD. Thank you so much for being there and educating and entertaining us ❤.
I love that they are able to articulate my muddled and disorganized thoughts in a way that allows people to learn as well as make me (and many others) feel seen etc. Love this pod! ❤
I feel like a key part of what y’all were talking about is being sympathetic and recognizing one’s experience but doing the work it takes to heal and grow from said experience
this is why I detest tiktok because that entire audience is chronically online and at this point I'd honestly rather slam my head into the wall than try and have a reasonable conversation with one of them lol. "bestie" is so patronizing and condescending, if someone says it to me I immediately know that I want nothing to do with them UGH
Sarah has so many poignant thoughts, I feel like I need to acknowledge how much they’ve affected me at this point lol I’m thinking about getting sober because I’m like “damn this person has great thoughts. Maybe it’s that they’re not drunk?” ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
~not that I’m agreeing with drinking milk being anti feminist~ but I think that may be a take people have because cows have to be impregnated to give milk
yeah, I have a thing with math which is basically like dyslexia with math. I'm absolutely terrible with it, and even have trouble with directions and other spacial things. I absolutely don't get offended when these things are pointed out, like, bro I know, I've known since I was 9 😅. I just want people to understand why and not call me stupid or lazy because I try very hard, but it's honestly funny how terrible I am 😂 also, this was a very good episode and the skit was so funny
I think it’s partly fear of change, but also their ego and inability to believe that their thoughts and beliefs are incorrect (or even worse, hateful). If you believe your whole life that being gay is wrong, it’s a tough pill to swallow that you are grossly incorrect and hateful.
I haven’t watched yet but Ik a lot of chronically ill ppl who are inherently chronically online bc that’s what is most accessible to them (especially since people stopped masking). I don’t mean chronically online as an insult in that case, it’s just the nature of their situation.
This comment is very ableist because it is all over the place and has the length of a Phd thesis I have taken the liberty of separating this unnecessarily long essay of mostly positive affirmations into sections denoted by ⭐️s, so it is easier to digest and not clumped into a rampley mess. 😅 (This is not intended to be patronizing. I just find that I zone out with large pieces of text and thought yinz might be similar.) ⭐️ Ranting about Trans Rights - This is really off topic, but what Sarah said with the colorblind thing and high beams can be applied to trans people too. One percent of trans people detransition (usually due to lack of support), yet all of these trans bills that want to make getting healthcare a harder and more timely process are being justified, even in liberal people's eyes, by the fact that they don't want kids to regret it. Meanwhile, it is life saving treatment for 99 percent of trans teens and adults. If I had to wait anymore for T, I don't know if I would be here right now. It is the trolley problem except you take out the hard part. These people are willing to take out 100 people to "protect" 1 person. (They obviously don't care. It just makes them feel better because they veil their real intentions with fake concern. People just want control.) ⭐️ Random affirmation that leads into more specific things I like about yinz - Any sorry for typing an essay on a comedy podcast. I love listening to this podcast so much on my way to work or doing housework. You guys make me actually laugh out loud (to the point where I can't control it, and I seem weirder than I already am because I just burst out with a puff of air from trying to hold it in 😅). ⭐️ Mostly To Sarah - You guys inspire me a lot, and it is actually very strangely cathartic to hear Sarah occasionally talk about their sobriety because I have severe PTSD related to alcohol from family stuff (don't worry, I am in therapy, and I don't wanna make anyone reading this feel heavy or trauma dumped on). I love how Sarah takes accountability and explains that explainations are not the same as excuses. Although I've never drank myself, I am so terrified of feeling tempted because I have an extremely addictive personality. Anyway, it is just really comforting to see someone get sober that has come from a similar background because both of my parents are covert narcissist that use religion to avoid taking any accountability. I'm only 18, but I've been a fan since I was around 10ish during the vine years. I just think you've grown so much as a person in the last 8ish years that I've been following you, and it has been so amazing to see. I am especially inspired by the leap you took into stand up. I have crippling anxiety to the point of extreme nausea, and it is amazing to see how a person can cope with that to do what they want without being held back. I hope to one day see your stand up in person if you ever decide to tour the US. Congrats so much on 🥳 6 MONTHS 🥳 Every hour is an achievement when it comes to recovery!!! ⭐️ Mostly To Kendall - is an amazing cohost and person as well of course, and although I do love VCG, I honestly think you guys flow in a different way that I like better. Kendall's sketch comedy is funny as hell, and it was such a great day when I found out that you two would be making something together. Although I have a longer time commitment with watching Sarah, I truly am not here for only one of you. I cannot choose a favorite because your personalities complement each other beautifully. Hearing the relationship you have with your family is actually very healing. It inspires hope in me when I see an lgbt person that has supportive family members. I also love how supportive you are of Sarah. You bring up her achievements and celebrate with them. Although some people say they don't like the beginning "catch up", it is usually one of my favorite parts of the episode because you guys geniunely take interest in each other's lives and are both very apparently present in the moment. Kendall has an amazing skill of inject infectiously good vibes into every conversation on the pod (and in her sketches). I really want to see one of you and your partners improv shows in person one day. ⭐️ You are both great people, and I know this is a one sided parasocial relationship, but I gotta let yinz know that I care about both of your wellbeings a lot. You two are in my top 10 favorite people that I don't personally know (the ranking is unimportant past top 10 because I cannot rank the favs over one another). This podcast is one of the few things that I replay over and over again to fall asleep (not because it is boring, but because it is comforting to hear you guys talk and that comfort calms me down enough to make my brain stop racing). 🥰🥰🥰
yeah oh my god i didnt know how many ppl drink drive until i started bartending... ppl will come and tell stories abt how they drove drunk, or after will tell me theyre the designated driver after ive served them 5 drinks, i always tell them wtf ur a fucking idiot but they laugh and think its ok??? its like they dont take it seriously until theyve killed someone. its so scary.
The past couple years I've gone to 15 to 20 shows a year mostly electronic dance music shows and there are countless amounts of people who are only there for taking pictures and video and most of the time it seems like they're only recording themselves with the flash on dancing and incorrectly lip syncing to the songs that they don't even know. I'm 100% for taking pictures and videos but the entire set? Or getting in somebody else's way of them enjoying the thing that you both paid to be there for? Put the phone in your pocket every now and then.
godd ur so right about the thing where someone does one bad thing and then ppl overanalyze everything they've ever said (cough cough the overreaction w ashley gavin cough cough) why is the guest right-wing though lol u guys were too scared 2 make fun of gay ppl . that's valid lol
Playing with toy blasters as a kid does not lead to bad behaviors. Just as playing video games doesnt. It's about who raises them. And saying that they do is how people justify taking away rights.
"Chronically online" people are the most insufferable people and do real damage to their supposed "cause". People like that are a big reason why no one takes actual issues seriously. They need to develop some critical thinking skills and stop being so self centered.
honestly kind of offensive that you'd come on here and talk for an hour when some people can't talk??? like ur rubbing it in their faces it's awful. apology with tears by next week please.
Why do I have to thoroughly understand the experience of EVERY woman to make a comment on womanhood? Does that work for other things too? You don't know the experience of EVERY lesbian, EVERY white person, or EVERY nonbinary person, so how can you speak on lesbianism, whiteness, or the nonbinary community? With that logic, nobody can talk about anything.
@@TheBCCClub sarah honestly this is becoming another issue like the sorority episode where you feel so stuck in your opinion you’re refusing to listen to anyone else. women are allowed to speak on womanhood as a concept. whether than upsets you or not. otherwise you are never allowed to speak about lesbianism, neurodivergence, trauma, etc without clarifying you are only talking about yourself. you are being purposefully obtuse.
saying "a white woman doesn't know WOC experiences" makes no sense as an argument because its still WOMANHOOD. that does not answer or refute the question "what does it mean to feel like a woman" like... at all. we also don't use these arguments for anything else "black men don't know what its like to be BLACK because they're still a MAN and their experience is different than black womens". because they are ultimately still black. them being a man does not change that they are still black. it also ignores that groups are not a monolith.
@@TheBCCClub i cant tell if you’re purposefully missing the point? i acknowledged and supported intersectionality in my example. YOU are not acknowledging intersectionality by acting like whiteness means we are not allowed to speak on womanhood. intersectionality does not mean being white means your opinion on feminism doesn’t matter. white women are the only oppressed group people do this to.
@@sweetembrace6706the whole point they made is that womanhood is not the same for all women regardless of the sexuality and race-hence the intersectionality part. There is no single experience of being of woman so to say someone doesn’t understand the experience of being a woman implies that there is. Sarah pointed out how that is incorrect. This really feels like you’re trolling based on the video subject lmao.
Howdy y’all, I think this goes without saying that we’re not talking about the Colleen situation. Grooming is not a personal flaw, it is objectively bad. Also this episode was filmed before her uh? Apology video? If you could call it that.
Other than that, hope you enjoy the episode!
never cared for her, always thought she was unfunny and ableist but yeah i’d love an ep
Genuinely was afraid people were going to mention that in the comments and say you’re defending people who actually cannot take accountability for inappropriate behaviors without being on the defense.
I'd personally love an ep on her, or other shitty wildly successful youtubers just to hear y'all DIG into them!
i sometimes use this podcast to help me sleep and i’ve just burst out laughing in the dark of night at “YOU THINK I CAN AFFORD A HORSE????” 31:03

Sarah! Congratulations on 6 months!!! also Kendhal's pride towards Sarah is the sweetest thing, everyone deserves a friend like her!

Loved this episode!
the disability part is SO true. i have to try not to hit slow walkers with my mf cane. i hate them.

Kmart is queen and I was also sad when ours was replaced love me some target but Miss Kay was cheap 😂
Chronically online takes remind me of the people who told Sarah that they deserved to have their backpack set on fire because they were smoking.
this was a such a funny episode i stg i always look forward to wednesdays :)

🥰🥰🥰
Disability accommodations are awful most places.

my faves
The past couple years I've gone to 15 to 20 shows a year mostly electronic dance music shows and there are countless amounts of people who are only there for taking pictures and video and most of the time it seems like they're only recording themselves with the flash on dancing and incorrectly lip syncing to the songs that they don't even know. I'm 100% for taking pictures and videos but the entire set? Or getting in somebody else's way of them enjoying the thing that you both paid to be there for? Put the phone in your pocket every now and then.
I think the milk/feminism part was referring to artificial insemination
Yass
❤
Gasped at the statement of neurodivergence having a significantly negative effect on the ability to cook. There’s no way…
godd ur so right about the thing where someone does one bad thing and then ppl overanalyze everything they've ever said (cough cough the overreaction w ashley gavin cough cough)
why is the guest right-wing though lol u guys were too scared 2 make fun of gay ppl . that's valid lol
Playing with toy blasters as a kid does not lead to bad behaviors. Just as playing video games doesnt. It's about who raises them. And saying that they do is how people justify taking away rights.
I agree. Blaming a toy, whether it's a video game or blaster, or a breed deflects genuine responsibility.
I agree, that was sort of an odd take.
“It was a white woman..” no, we know
"Chronically online" people are the most insufferable people and do real damage to their supposed "cause". People like that are a big reason why no one takes actual issues seriously. They need to develop some critical thinking skills and stop being so self centered.
honestly kind of offensive that you'd come on here and talk for an hour when some people can't talk??? like ur rubbing it in their faces it's awful. apology with tears by next week please.
first like first view 👹👹👹
Why do I have to thoroughly understand the experience of EVERY woman to make a comment on womanhood? Does that work for other things too? You don't know the experience of EVERY lesbian, EVERY white person, or EVERY nonbinary person, so how can you speak on lesbianism, whiteness, or the nonbinary community? With that logic, nobody can talk about anything.
yeah, its a very nonsensical argument honestly. white women dont even have identical experiences to each other either lol...
You can make comments on your own womanhood.
@@TheBCCClub That makes sense, I misunderstood earlier.
saying "a white woman doesn't know WOC experiences" makes no sense as an argument because its still WOMANHOOD. that does not answer or refute the question "what does it mean to feel like a woman" like... at all. we also don't use these arguments for anything else "black men don't know what its like to be BLACK because they're still a MAN and their experience is different than black womens". because they are ultimately still black. them being a man does not change that they are still black. it also ignores that groups are not a monolith.
So intersectionality
@@TheBCCClub i cant tell if you’re purposefully missing the point? i acknowledged and supported intersectionality in my example. YOU are not acknowledging intersectionality by acting like whiteness means we are not allowed to speak on womanhood. intersectionality does not mean being white means your opinion on feminism doesn’t matter. white women are the only oppressed group people do this to.
It’s almost as if women of color experience womanhood differently than white women
Is this satire lmao😂
@@sweetembrace6706the whole point they made is that womanhood is not the same for all women regardless of the sexuality and race-hence the intersectionality part. There is no single experience of being of woman so to say someone doesn’t understand the experience of being a woman implies that there is. Sarah pointed out how that is incorrect. This really feels like you’re trolling based on the video subject lmao.
