I have to say, I really love that you both are so open and supportive to each other about your disabilities. Like when Kendahl was struggling to read a word and Sarah helped and said “it’s okay” with so much love in their voice, my heart melted. I have similar disabilities and am always mortified when I slip up. As much as I love joking about that sort of thing, it’s so important to have friends that are kind and understanding about your disabilities.
As a BIPOC swiftie, I feel like I'm seeing how toxic her fans can be in light of the Matt Healy situation. Just like the rabid and blind defense of Taylor to anyone that's asking her to take a little bit of accountability.
i 100% agree with you. as fans we can have a “critique” or honestly just question tswift without it being an attack. i keep saying i think her dating matty healy is ironic considering her brand and i stand by that. she wants a safe space for her fans but he kinda destroys that whole idea of a safe space with his antics
@liverpool634 I feel so bad for people that paid so much money for tickets only to show up and feel uncomfortable bc Matt's up there with Phoebe and at some point might be up there singing with Taylor. Also, that's a good point with her branding. I remember in Daylight one of the last lyrics were like she wants to be known for the people she associates with and loves, so it's especially ironic considering that as well.
@@fluffymood665 not that I'm aware of. Phoebe has just played at a few shows during this tour, like at Nashville, and I think that's where Matty was also on stage with her.
As a huge TS fan they honestly are very kind this whole episode. I think they could’ve gone a little harder on people who are actually cruel and dangerous that consider themselves swifties.
Never even looked at Sarah's perspective about looking for a fandom as a safe place; that explains why my Harry Potter fanfic addiction also got so out of hand. Glad to know I wasn't alone Kendahl lol
The description of yard sale people is so accurate. When I was 15, I was helping my mom with our yard sale and she left for 30 minutes and a woman in her 40s started yelling at me about the price of this like new vanity and stool. It was originally 275 and we were selling it for 100 and she kept yelling at me saying she was just gonna have her husband pick it up and take it so I might as well sell it to her for 15 and I just started freaking out and was like fine take it.
Y’all couldn’t have posted this at a better time. Seeing her 5/21 in Gillette. You honestly could’ve gone even harder on the dangerous/mean people who consider themselves Swifties out there because we do not claim them.
The thing that gets me the most, particularly with the fandom, is that they actually believe she's mastermind behind the easter eggs. She has an entire creative team orchestrating every little detail. But swifties don't want to believe that bc the easter egg game is often cited as a reason why they love her. I didn't know there are message boards to discuss the easter eggs. Without a doubt, her team has people in them fueling any and all flames. It's smart marketing, not arguing that. Again, it's that the fandom believes she's some kind of genius when it's obvious it's her team.
not only that, but her easter eggs aren't even like? that difficult to understand. like having a song title on a wall in a music video is not that hard to find
Only time I shoplifted was when I was having a manic episode and I stole a bunch of craft supplies from a hobby lobby bc I had just learned about all their shitty practices and I was convinced that stealing would bring them down
this makes me really want a Miley Cyrus episode because there's that rumor/theory of her having another hannah-montana-esque alter ego and making underground music and I would DIE to hear y'all cover her history and all that jazz
honestly, I think y'all could have been much more critical of how toxic swifties can be. I know your aim is to be respectful, but the behavior they often display is concerning and their unwillingness to humor even minor criticism of taylor (who rightfully deserves it) is frustrating. it's wild that nobody feels safe saying this simply knowing how cruel the fanbase can be.
oh god i like to binge podcasts so i'm getting into this since i love kendahl and sara but i'm a swiftie 😭 at least this was before the new midnights drop
As a born and raised Pennsylvanian, there are actually a few big parts of PA that have southern-ish accents. I'm from the "Pennsyltucky" area and when I moved to a different area of PA, I realized that most PA have the "standard" American accent, so I could believe she had a hint of an accent back when.
resident Pennsylvanian here, a lot of us do actually have southern-ish accents especially in southern PA which is where Taylor is from. there's lots of hicks and cornfields so it could be possible that her southern accent was real or even just played up a little
Being serious when the next TS album comes out would love to see Sarah do a reaction video (while she’s doing something else too like building a Lego or something as mentioned)
@22:27 there are massive parts of the fandom that are terribly toxic. It's not hard to find either. Most common thing I see is telling people they are not "real fans" because they don't blindly support her. If you say anything negative at all about her, they will attack like sharks with blood in the water. I'm a Swiftie, that woman takes up more space in my brain then anything else, but find myself very cautious with what online groups I'll interact with because of the negativity, attacks and gatekeeping that happens. Also the whole Swifties attacking her ex's online and in public even is about as toxic as it gets.
I really like the podcast and the chemistry and the commentary on each subject. When either host reads out loud though, it makes me zone out. Voiceover work is it’s own thing and it may just not belong here. Maybe have an outline or list that keeps things on track that isn’t reading a long block of text aloud.
I feel like it's important to note that Taylor's easter eggs have only ever been about her music. She's never dropped hints about her personal life and has made it clear she doesn't want that to be the focus of her career. There's no way she would be 'easter egging' her sexuality because she has never done that for anything that's private in her life. (With that being said, she has also publicly stated that she's straight.)
It must be a neurodivergence/ADHD thing but I really struggle listening to new albums or going to concerts because it’s so much to focus on. Plus the overstimulation and crowds at concerts is too much.
@@dontworry-9054 this video was posted before major events happening right now - I think they could have gone harder but they just seemed a bit scared to share any possible opinions but I hope they do a round two or more ! They could cover a lot more and be more honest

To be fair, in Pennsylvania we have a saying. There is Philly in the east, Pittsburgh in the west and Alabama in the middle so... I get where Kendahl is coming from thinking PA is the south lol.
But she also made a post that said ; me on lesbian visability day. And she wore a shirt with the lesbian flag colors in her anti-hero song. There is a whole podcast called What I know, about this topic. If you take a deep dive there's a lot of evidence. I was sceptical until I did this.
I spent no less than 2000 to go to festival in Atlanta in 2021 and it was canceled 7 hours into my 10 hour drive. Camping, 4 days of music, food, drinks ect. Had to get a hotel, last second like the thousands of other people and it was so expensive.
I’m a Swiftie and here’s the thing about Gaylors and hetlors (which yes definitely does sound like a slur and kinda is in the Gaylor verse) I am what they would call a hetlor because I don’t fuck with gaylors i think they’re fucking creepy but there’s this secret third group called idgaflors who are neither gaylors nor “hetlors”. They truly don’t give a fuck of Taylor’s sexuality. If she’s straight cool if she’s gay cool. If she’s bi/pan/omni/ etc cool. We don’t gaf if Taylor is queer and in the closet or if she was secretly with one of the women gaylors ship Taylor with cool we’re still support her. Idgaflors are not the same as gaylors and don’t have to get along with gaylors because gaylors are truly really weird and creepy. That’s it not much to it’s really not that hard to understand. Personally I’m a idgaflor like seriously if Taylor ever does come out I’ll 100% still love and support her. For now as far as we know Taylor is straight and I 100% believe in that but if in a few years or whatever she comes out I’ll say I’m wrong and still absolutely love and support her as is
Im so glad you guys touched on the "queer baiting" thing. Kendahl expressed my exact feelings. If shes queer thats fine, but it feel like shes making it into a game for her fans to figure it out and even using the specuation for publicity. If shes queer i guess its fine, whatever. But if shes not then it feels like the queer community is being used. And that just kinda doesnt seem fair?
A real person can't "queerbait" because, unlike in a fandom about fictional characters, it's inappropriate to speculate this much about the sexuality of a real person. Taylor Swift is a real person and real people don't owe it to strangers to come out on said stranger's timeline or even to come out publicly if they're a public figure just because fans have formed a parasocial relationship. Like are people who are closeted and still figuring things out "queerbaiting" because they aren't sure of their labels? No, because that's not how real life works. Sarah was right that queerbaiting is specifically a media term used for fictional characters. Like, Taylor's music is all painfully heterosexual so I also don't even see where she is remotely "using" the speculation for publicity beyond maybe being a bit amused by it because the whole "gaylor" fandom is so unhinged. There are plenty of openly queer artists for people to listen to.
Ive got a friend thats a bit of a cleptomaniac, but she sticks to big corporations. Mostly Hobby Lobby and Walmart. Occasionally, I'll see something really small i want, like some buttons or a chapstick, and itll be in her bag when we get in the car. Shes a cleptomanic for the people
