This song is about that literal 'toxic garbage island' floating in the ocean...I am sure you have heard of that!? It is fkn HUGE! Just plastic floating out there, the size of a large country... www.nationalgeographic.org/encyclopedia/great-pacific-garbage-patch/ It is about 1.6 million KM! That is twice the size of Texas or 3x the size of France... This is what the song is about!
I’ll throw one out that rarely gets recommended (I’m assuming because it’s a bit different from their usual stuff). “A Sight to Behold” off The Way of All Flesh
Deliverance or Clone by Gojira. Please please please. Oh, The Link, Backbone, Esoteric Surgery, Vacuity. Dude there’s so many song I could recommend to you. Oh, almost forgot Of Blood And Salt... ok, I’ll stop now
Please dive all the way into their discography they have so many tracks that will never get recommended but are some of their best like mouth of kala , the axe , Yama’s messengers just to name a few
I agree. Most people suggest only the most popular songs, but there are so many that get no attention. I personally love Of Blood and Salt, but never see anyone recommend it
True, and that goes for all of the bands that lots of reactors choose. They're going with the most popular suggestions, but all of those bands have awesome stuff that no one ever reacts to.
OK Drew, now that you've heard the song, you can watch the DrumCam: "Mario Duplantier - Toxic Garbage Island live" ruclips.net/video/GOaZEFtHtC4/видео.html 🤘🏼
Some suggestions for songs to react to: Backbone, Remembrance, Low Lands, L´enfant Sauvage, In The Forest (or any other song cause they are all insane.)
As others have requested, it would be great to see you react to Gojira- Gift of Guilt Live at Brixton academy. Best live performance I've seen from them.
0:17 - That has to be the FIRST time anyone has said that to me, usually it is - get outside, get some air, do something! I can't play my drums or bass outside tho or record songs outside tho! *Gojira - Deliverance*
You said you've listened to a song from each album, but you've missed Terra Incognita and The Link. For Terra, highly recommend either Clone, Love or my favourite Gojira track, Deliverance. As for the The Link, highly recommend Rememberance but watch it as The Link Alive rather than just the album track. Keep up the great work my dude.
TBH, I'd find it inhumanly difficult to keep myself from just diving into their albums straight away if I were in your place. Thanks for letting us see your first reactions! Reminds me of myself hearing these banging tunes for the first time... Keep 'em coming :D
Thats a good identifiable practice you mentioned there- letting the music and melody zone you out , getting lost in the moment again and again. Then, the lyrics will impact you even more once you have gotten the vocals and mappings of the riffs round yer senses. This song is fecking cool with huge care and attention to the subject matter. The lads grew up by the French coast, seeing pollution and how its harmed the aqua life underneath,so yeah as you said, in songs like this they really hit home how they feel about enviromental issues. Im hedin' into me terd week of Stay In now. Ive no idea when work is back on the cards- so keep the reactions a comin'. Ill recommend the zany bonkers brilliance of Devin Townsend "Genesis" to ya again, if you like songs with multiple changes, tempos and moods. Also in the groove metal department, Ill say Pantera's "Walk" or "Mouth for War". Again, stay safe mo chara.
Just come across your page, always nice n refreshing to see someone who has an open mind and genuine appreciation and interest in music, regardless the genre. Over the years I've come across n love such a wild mix n variety. Always benefits having an open mind. And watching all reactions to the transitions, the heavy drops and all that reminds me of why I fell in love with these band's, way back then haha you have to check out gojiras live performance of remembrance. The end is absolute madness
If you wanna check their earlier stuff and see how they've developed their sound over the years definitely check out either Clone or Satan is a Lawyer (for something a lil different) off their first album Terra Incognita
Gojira has become one my most favourite bands, I alway find it humorously insightful witnessing others first experiences of Gojiras powerful creations.
Into the Wilderness is a pretty brutal track off of From Mars to Sirius, where Global Warming Live at Silver Cord is a powerful song which follows a message similar to this track regarding the earth, which also showcases Joe's incredible voice. There are so many more tracks headed your way, you're going to love them all. lol
Way of all Flesh is my personal favorite Gojira album. Well, I like the demos a lot too but those don't count. Nice to see other Irish peeps get into metal. I recommend reacting to either the title track 'The Way of all Flesh' or 'The Art of Dying.'
the shooting star is a great, albeit much much calmer song by them to just get lost in and get taken away by, super atmospheric and my favourite song by them
If you want something really deep by Gojira, I’d recommend “Saturate” from their 1998 demo of the same name. It’s got the feel of Terra Incognita with even more chug, and the usage of voice as an instrument makes it even better. Unfortunately it’s demo sound quality. They really need to rerecord it! \m/
Explosia is a K I L L E R track, one of my personal favorites. And with some other projects, Strapping Young Lad's "Love" is another banger that you might like. Loving the content dude!!! 😁
Poland rock festival was an awesome live quality recording for many of their songs as well. One of the things gojira is most known for is their ability to play their songs as good if not better live than they were on the recording.
Great job and thank you for the needed distraction. Please think about playing Oroborus or Love! Also for a new band (not too crazy hard) I would highly suggest Intronaut as you seem to like the longer journey that Tool or Opeth provides. This group is jazz infused. I would try Elegy or Cubensis to start. Thanks again and cheers to you!!!
Awesome. Keep'em comin'! P.S. just a suggestion, but why not run the track back 5 or 10 seconds after you pause to talk? You can miss some smooth transitions sometimes when you pause I think.
Gojira is one of my favorite bands. But now it's time for you to drift to yet another journey - I suggest you to take a listen to My Dying Bride. For almost 30 years these british gents (and sometimes ladies) gave us a perfect match to a bottle of red wine and black candles. 'Feel the Missery' from it's homonymous five years ago effort is a perfect start to a band with no bad song in it's list. Cheers. .
"And the world is sliding away in a vortex of floating refuse, With the sacred one you have lost." I'm not sure a lyric has ever hit so deep, with them riffs,,,, uggg
You’re doing a great job ripping through the Gojira discography... you’ll get instant views and likes from a ton of people... and discover incredible music. Great combo :)
Gojira - Global Warming [Live at the Silver Cord Studio May 2018] . It's a live-studio recording and it's absolutely phenomenal. It has everything I love about Gojira, great songwriting, clever riffs, atmosphere, dynamics, bonkers drumming. It's also cool to be able to see them all play their instruments.
I will enjoy watching really any Gojira song you do. But if I had to recommend one for you, it'd be either Where Dragons Dwell (hellfest 2013) or Vacuity.
Patreon.com/drewfortune for early access guys - Would appreciate any support(Only If you can spare $5 of course) - Stay safe out there!🙏🏻💆🏻♂️
Vacuity please I’m never gonna stop asking lol
Please, react to Alcest - Printemps Émeraude. It's something out this world.

Where is "Where Dragons Dwell" from Hellfest 2013? You are missing out :(
Patience my friend, patience.
Oof, that one is something else.
He’ll love it when he gets to it
@@DrewFortune97 ya, it's time. see the drummer, hear the vocals. oooof
Yep, I prefer the live version in some ways to the album version in this particular case.
I’ll throw one out that rarely gets recommended (I’m assuming because it’s a bit different from their usual stuff). “A Sight to Behold” off The Way of All Flesh
Actually one of my favorites its catchy as fuck.
"A Sight to Behold" is easily underrated but it's a good song, 1 of 3 favorites from the album. You should definitely listen to it.
Deliverance or Clone by Gojira. Please please please. Oh, The Link, Backbone, Esoteric Surgery, Vacuity. Dude there’s so many song I could recommend to you. Oh, almost forgot Of Blood And Salt... ok, I’ll stop now
Clone but live
If he sees them live maybe he will take off his cap , to pay repects
Ace Ayy yes! Live is incredible. They’re just the greatest band in existence to me.
Ace Ayy Remembrance live too!
You almost forgot Pain Is A Master.. and Shooting Star.. and Love.. and Oroborus.. and Only Pain.. and L’Enfant Sauvage 😂
Senor Chips haha there’s just so many
Please dive all the way into their discography they have so many tracks that will never get recommended but are some of their best like mouth of kala , the axe , Yama’s messengers just to name a few

True, and that goes for all of the bands that lots of reactors choose. They're going with the most popular suggestions, but all of those bands have awesome stuff that no one ever reacts to.
Thomas Paulsen yeah and the fact it also features Devin Townsend makes it more surprising it’s never recommended
dave bcf yeah every band has amazing obscure songs
Space time is underrated
Gojira gives me goosebumps every time. Every time I listen I'm reminded why I fell in love with them. The Cell was my intro to this band.
Check out Esoteric Surgery, that one will blow you out of your seat quite literally as soon as the song starts
In Maidjan! It's a song by Heilung and it's insane, you should try it!
React to Gojira -clone live
Gojira is at their best live
Hasn't anyone said anything about Mastodon? Cause the first albums are mindblowing in such an unique way.
Aqua Dementia 👌
@@fernandapereira4623 uuuh yesss that whole album is amazing!
Mastodon and Gojira are two bands who revolutionate how make metal
@@emilianoacosta8761 totally. Both of them bring huge inspiration for me and my band as well, great minds to learn from.

As others have requested, it would be great to see you react to Gojira- Gift of Guilt Live at Brixton academy. Best live performance I've seen from them.
You should react to Gojira Gift of Guilt again
This time live in Brixton.
Its better than studio version
It actually is, I can't listen to the album version any more. Same with Global Warming at Silver Cord Studio.
@@The_Wild_Healer Same. How rare is it that a live version sounds even better than the studio version. Only Gojira...
I disagree...
The 3 that ill promote till they get their shot is..
VACUITY
LOVE
WHERE DRAGONS DWELL (live at Hellfest)
0:17 - That has to be the FIRST time anyone has said that to me, usually it is - get outside, get some air, do something! I can't play my drums or bass outside tho or record songs outside tho! *Gojira - Deliverance*
Nobody's mentioned the album The Link by gojira. Its SUCH a headbanger!!! Try it out!!!
It's amazing to watch someone become a fan right in front of your eyes
You've got some more albums you haven't heard anything off of. Try the song Love from Terra Incognita
Keep up the great work my dude.
ahh this is great stuff, seeing you listen to all these bands and songs is like reliving hearing them for the first time myself
React to Ocean Planet or Vacuity
Ocean Planet
These two tracks deserve far more attention than they ever seem to get.
Ocean planet is underrated af
You will enjoy L’Enfant Sauvage, the first track off the way of all flesh is Oroborus, which you should do because it’s amazing
TBH, I'd find it inhumanly difficult to keep myself from just diving into their albums straight away if I were in your place. Thanks for letting us see your first reactions! Reminds me of myself hearing these banging tunes for the first time...
Keep 'em coming :D
This tune is about the Great Pacific Garbage Patch, where much of the crap we humans throw out ends up.
Please do either Gojira Esoteric Surgery or In The Wilderness or both lol both are bangers 🤘
I would recommend a song from their first album Terra Incognita called "Love". It will absolutely blow you away and everyone else who haven't listened
I've never listened to Gojira until 3 days ago. Gojira are quality
Fraser Innes 😜😜😜
"My heart gets heavy thinking about the giant trash island in the ocean."
"Yeah, England is a joke."
VACUITY is a fantastic song from Gojira. Super hard.

The Way of All Flesh is such an experience
Gojira - A Sight to Behold Live at Vieilles Charrues Festival, its really different from their other songs but its still a bop

Bruh, this slaps harder than my iguana’s tail. Can’t believe I’ve never heard this Gojira track. Thanks for introducing me to this one!!!

Gojira - Where Dragons Dwell live Hellfest 2013 or Gojira - Explosia live 2014 Brixton Academy.
Gojira - Remembrance The Link Alive. Filmed in 2003, and back then they were already playing perfectly.
Where the dragons dwell will blow your mind

In The Forest - Gojira
There entire discog is amazing. Do all of it!
