Can we make circuit that if magnet is removed then LED is on otherwise when in contact with magnet it is off?

just connect NPN BC547 transistor at output and make sure connect pullup resistor from base to +ve supply so when magnet place near sensor then signal will invert the led thus led turns off otherwise led will glow as magnet is removed

So the base will be connected with hal output. But im confused that when sensor gives output then how pullup resistor will make sure base is not triggered
