I feel like the main difference between haleys' story vs. Shane and Alex's story is that both Shane and Alex have storys that highlight getting over trauma. Shane deals with self-worth issues and PTSD, while alex is attempting to get over the death of his mother, the abuse from his father and learning how he doesn't need to be the strong straight man everyone expects from him (im talking about if you play as a male character). While haleys story is more about her overcoming her own selfish ways and learning how to not judge people on material things. The story's aren't at all comparable because both alex and Shane are getting over trauma, and Haley is getting over herself.
I don't mean to say that any of the stories are invalid, i've never married haley or shane but i really hate when people say haleys story is the same as alex and shane's. I still like haleys arc, but don't act like people hate on her cause we're sexist.

I honestly marry Haley in all my playthroughs. It just feels weird if I don't romance her. She's also the easiest and fastest one to marry, especially since she likes daffodils, and gold star daffodils are easy to mass produce bcz I tend to plant spring seeds for tea saplings. I time our marriage on Alex's birthday in summer for the fub of it.

you do know that friendship still goes up even if you dont give gifts right? you can literally marry haley without ever giving her one thing hell not only haley but everyone. if you talk with em daily that raises friendship too. it takes longer but it still works so the gifting point is very mute also you can then complain about every character because they accept presents too.

@@karurosu4121 Talking to someone gives 20 points of friendship, 10 if the NPC is in a non-idle animation. each heart is 250 points. you need to talk to them 2 weeks non-stop to get a full heart with them. Enjoy, I guess??
