jamie mcgavran None of the weapons are for sale, but if you're ever in Southern California, you can see some of them on display at Tony Swatton's workshop: www.swordandstone.com/
He updated the one from this video to work on a spring/soundcloud wheel to take the number of rings down to one, and if you made the scissor lift with slightly shorter linkages and attached the wheel linkage to the second intersection instead of the first, a simple housing would fit right over top, protecting the mechanism and still staying thinner than Colin's.
Andrew Awesome nah the one they made works purely off of a spring mechanism released by a button. Making one that can retract and deploy from the wrist gets a bit bulkier and just doesn’t look as sleek. Though the one they made was still pretty blocky, so I don’t see why not go for it.
They could add a small hook on the end of the blade so when it stops you can pull it back to a locked position. Just attach the hook to the spring mechanism (if possible) and idea that could work.
Aaron Yu Not if you use a simple force ejection. Attach blade to spring, keep spring slack, when it ejects spring pulls it taught, catches on a ridge that ridge is released with a string/cord attached to a ring, spring retracts blade, not as bulky, about as bulky as that blade tbh
there are actually many people on here who've made hidden blades, and some of them use a pulley system to extend and retract the blade, instead of a push button mechanism. a cord is connected to a ring worn on the wearer's finger, and connects the ring to the pulley in the gauntlet. Flicking your wrist outward while wearing the ring pulls the cord, which activates the pulley mechanism, causing the blade to extend. Flicking your wrist outward again retracts the blade. That's actually how they work in the game, at least that's how Ezio's blade worked. I'm not sure how Altaïr's, Edward's or Connor's blades worked, because they changed the design of the blade with each game, but they all allowed for one-handed operation

That may not be the method of opening the blade, but neither is this one. You don't see any of the assassins reaching over with their left hand to press a button on their right wrist or vice-versa. They flick their wrists outward.
Btw the cutscene that shows this is the one where one of his blades is damaged. You can clearly see a string attached to his ring, running down into his gauntlet.

Ashley Kimaru keyblade? This is the Hidden blade. Some people can make the dual action. Now, can you tell me if you know the mechanism? I already search the blueprints for months. But, no result
An OTF switchblade uses the inertia of the blade to stretch a second spring then lock into place using a flat spring. The retraction does the same thing, the inertia of blade pulls the first spring and another flat spring locks it into the retraced position. Both locking flat springs are attached to the trigger and which way you push the it controls which locking spring is pushed out.
