    Duuuude that's just sick! These more practical tutorials work for me en allot of other people. Seeing someone play these fast licks really slow is incredibly helpful!

    Are you a fan of Anthony at StevieSnacks? His SRV-Sig is setup just like yours.

      I am a fan of his work. I learned a little bit from him. By the time I discovered him I was a little ahead of the stuff he was teaching, but there are a few things I picked up, and his playing is solid. Yeah, our guitars are similar. They have a great sound. :)

      Anthony has a different mix of pickups in his. He thought to put an SV5O in the neck (which Johnny actually has in the bridge) with an SV5+ in the bridge and SV2 in the middle. Johnny has an SV5 set: SV5O/SV5/SV5, so Anthony's set is a bit hotter, rounder and thicker, and Johnny's a little more transparent and open.

    you should post some videos with phililp sayce type chords he uses that would help too

    • @JohnnyOskam
      @JohnnyOskam  9 лет назад +3

      Philip Sayce mostly uses simple chords. Bar chords, power chords, and seven chords stripped down, which would be the root note, flat 7, and major 3rd. He also uses minor chords, mostly barred, but occasionally he'll throw a note on top, like a 9. He also makes good use of the Hendrix chord (sharp 9) and the typical blues chord (flat 9). What makes his music so great are his riffs, which are mostly single note leads.

      Can you remind me what a double stop is? I taught myself how to play so I just don't know the term.

    • @JohnnyOskam
      @JohnnyOskam  9 лет назад +1

      The pickups in this video are zexcoil hum canceling pickups. They are really great. Mine are the vintage set.
