- The “foundational blues lick” is in everyone’s tool kit.
Guys like Jimi Hendrix, Albert King , Albert Collins , BB King, Stevie Ray Vaughan and many others have their own unique approach, and their own way of adding their flavor.
I hope some of this insight helps!
PEACE!
Our mentor Nick the riff master, may glory and grace be on your way all along.
💪🏼
Really nice breakdown of what we’ve been hearing for all these years.
How cool that the first video you come back with is this super cool lick that I’ve been fixated on for so long. I do believe it’s one of the coolest licks that I’ve heard in all my years of playing. The funny thing is I can obviously play all the notes in the lick but it’s the authority and snap you play it with that makes all the difference. It’s all over your playing and it never gets old to my ears!
Yeah, I’ve been working on Lenny quite a bit over the past year. And of course Stevie does that signature riff! Great video!!! 🔥🎸🤘🏻🇺🇸
😵💫😳🤔 Well well we'll you do have the SRV 👀🙏🎸🤗in you man! And you make it very easy to understand what SRV was doing🧐.So keep your RUclips videos coming man👏👏👏😉👍!

Search for a video i did called “Right Hand Technique”
Can’t give away ALL the tricks.
Studying this now. Do you have any teachings on how you learn and build up the speed over time?
I try to learn them slow and keep playing them over and over again. Usually with no amp. Just listening to the patterns
@@theriffwniksevigny5473 Fantastic. Thanks!!
Gostaria de saber qual numeração do cordoamento que vc está usando
👍👍
Very nice Jesse Davey’ish tone here! What amp and speakers were you running thru?😎✌🏻
Using my signature amp from Tommy Cougar
would love to see amp and eq difference vid between hendrix snd srv
I wouldnt really change much besides pickup position and how i used vibrato and the right hand!
@@theriffwniksevigny5473 thanks for the reply love your vids man
I'm trying so hard to get away from that lick in my blues playing
Right?! Its so repetitive and just happens so often. But, all it takes is that one outside note to take you in a different direction!
@@theriffwniksevigny5473 Agreed
Are you GSHARPMEDIA???🤔
No idea what that is
Great playing, but you're only teaching a fraction of what you are actually doing. thanks for the effort .
Is your guitar tuned to “G” ???
Eb
I thought SRV was a “key of G “ man but after searching some songs • Texas Flood • Sky is Crying • Pride & Joy are all key Eb , I’ve been schooled ..
