I regret putting a substantial size pledge on it. I strongly recommend that nobody gets caught up in the hype and what’s coming, and realize how little gameplay there is right now. Think of it as a demo or public alpha right now. It’s beautiful to fly around the one system right now, that’s for sure. It’s painful to walk around or interact, though.

Planets were a mistake
well put; the state of the game is "demo"; that is appropriate. Gorgeous demo, but nevertheless, a demo in the current state. A demo where you pay real money... It is the equivalent of asking your workplace to pay you 10 years in advance and then you will deliver the work once you are done. Strange how people would sink money in SC but would think 10 times before doing the same thing for something else
i see a pledge as an investement in my entertainement ... 50 € for 200++ hours plus gameplay = 25 cent per hour ... having booze at a bar for 200 hours is more expensive ... visiting a cinema for 90 minutes plus ads ... is more expensive ... visiting a brothel is even more expensive
and its heathier than visiting McDonalds ...

I think the fact that a 21-minute video is required to properly explain how to buy things so that you don't get ripped off indicates a problem with this product and business model. I love Sci-Fi games and I may still buy a package thanks to nooblets advice but Good Golly Roberts what the hell is the matter with you!?

Honestly I've got a freelancer (medium cargo ship) and I'm pretty happy with it as I love flying around to a random planet and driving around and exploring with my speeder
How do you load ground vehicle into your ship?
@@anzio9728 retrieve a speeder after buying it from a console on the ground, not in the space port. I know there's one in lorville and new babbage, and probably a bunch in other places and then simply drive it in the back and take off

Hey. New to the game did buy the cutlass black package. It has 6 month insurance at the time. Tho I want to know if u have any knowledge on possibly getting it to life time.
as of currency 143.75 usd over to the currency I use it costed ca 1200 NOK. So I just wonder if there's a way to change the insurance on it to one I mentioned ? thanks before hand :/
Look for a concept ship that cost more than your cutlass black. They hide it in their website store, but if you look at all the buying options for that new concept ship, it will give you the option to upgrade to the LTI concept ship, and when you alppy the upgrade, your new ship will have lti

Hi there! so I bought the game a week ago and I've got 3 Nomads. One Nomad is a package with the SQ 42 Combo and LTI and the 2 other Nomads are Stand alone warbond with LTI...Now I would like to use one of these 2 LTI Nomads to upgrade to the Mercury Star Runner. The thing is, I don't see the Star Runner as an upgrade on that page you show at 17:37..so my question is: Is it possible to upgrade from the LTI Nomad to the MSR and pass on the LTI to it? Any steps I should follow? Thanks in advance for your feedback, it would be much appreciated.
Hi Starr The MSR is one of those limited ships that you can only buy every 6 or 12 months when they have a special sale. All the ship you can upgrade to now are the normal standard ones they sell (apart from the perseus which is concept) They might sell some ships again at xmas but i doubt it. I think the new sale will be invictus Event in 6 months. So for now you could upgrade to any ship its lets you now BELOW the cost of the MSR I would go Cutlass Black or Freelancer Max, then upgrade to the MSR on the next event sale.
Yes because your Nomad has LTI when you upgrade it, your bigger upgraded ship will have the LTI passed to it.
Then when you upgrade your MSR will have LTI aswell. Hope that helps

Well, The MSR is for sale in the pledge store for $ 225 right now so I'm not sure I understand why I can't have access to the upgrade. -Also like I said before I have a total of 3 Nomads now and they show on my account page hangar BUT ...- -I don't see 3 Nomads in the game. Any idea? Where do I find the 2 others I just bought?- (they finally showed up lol) The entire site navigation is horrible ...

Anyone know when the next event is that will give a good discount? considering buying the mustang or aurora starter pack with squadron included but the price is just way above what im willing to pay right now. Also, a question, if i decide on getting one of these and get around 3 months of insurance, am i able to buy lifetime insurance in game without making extra real life payments? If this is a game that will drain my wallet i will be very dissapointed lol. I really want to play the game from what ive seen though!
There are 3 sales a years, Citizen con is in Oct, but not sure if theres one sooner. You can use ingame credits to keep buying insurance ingame

Hi mate, Once you buy a ship package you DON'T have to play monthly, its yours forever and you don't have to spend anymore.
You need a ship game package ( Not standalone ship) to get into the multiplayer part of the game.
The separate Single player part of the game is called squadron 42. You can get that alone but your the first person who asked to do that.

I would like to buy the game and I kind of understand the premise of the video, but kind of still a little confused on the price I'd be paying to play in total. If I skip the extra charge of the training and wanted to buy the game, wanting to be a miner which is what I like to do, what would I have to pay to do that. Thank you for your video and your time.
Hi mate, you don't pay for training, I think you meant the Solo Story Game that is called Squadron 42. You don't need that but would miss out on the story if you didn't get it.
If you just want to get into the multiplayer Universe, you just need a Ship Package, (About $45) then you don't have to pay for anything else.
With that you can earn any ship in-game, include your mining ship ;)
Like I said you dont need SQ42 but for $20 its worth getting.

if you want the single player, you need to buy SQ42; if you want to play the online game, you need to buy SC package. Some package has both in one package. If you want to be a miner you are looking at spending about 200+ real dollars to get a ship that does mining; or you can start with the cheap 45 dollars package and play the game grinding for credits, to buy the miner ship; but you will lose that when they wipe the server, since the game is barely in alpha

So everything that you earn in game will at some point be wiped from the server?
That's just stuff that was earned in game and not paid for, right?
And what about upgrades or CCUs?
@@justinkirschenman2232 For as long as the game is in Alpha, a wipe is pretty much expected. This means that if you buy ships and modules with in-game currency; those will be reset and your money reset to; to whatever is your starting amount.
Once the game is released (if it will ever be released), this won't be an issue and you will keep forever what you acquired in game. Although keep in mind that if your ship blow up, unless you have lifetime insurance, there will be a price to pay to retrieve your ship. As now, nobody knows how that will work or how much will it cost.
For things you "buy" with real money; those stay with you no matter what. They are in your account and persist. Upgrades do not persist; you just get whatever is your ship equipped with, at the moment you buy it in the pledge store (which usually is the barebone configuration).
Hope this helps; SC monetization model is made in a way to confuse people sadly. My suggestion is to always use in game currency and never use real money, beside your initial purchase; because it gets out of hand pretty fast, and if the project goes down, you end up with a bunch of pretty pictures paid with real money. With enough grind in game you can get any ship they offer, so it is up to you to decide if you want to pay to skip the grind or spend more time playing and keep money in your wallet; or for something that is real and tangible in the real world

can anyone help, I 1st bought SC game package before covid outbreak played couple months then stopped because of covid because of work and family needs and never played till now but when I logged back in today I found my ship had disappeared! can anyone advise before I contact support

the mustang alpha does not hold any cargo crates... if it's multirole you are going for, but price is an issue... go for the Aurora, the Aurora like the Mustang has the same size weapon mounts and had 4 of them, like the Alpha.... however unlike the Mustang Alpha, it actually has missiles and a half decent cargo capacity and is the same price for the package... I rented one ingame and i must admit, i enjoyed flying it... not as flimsy or as fast as the Mustang, but can get you into some easy earning cargo runs, and search and rescue missions if need be to get some upgraded weapons and allow you to kit it out to perform better with higher survival chances in Low value bounties if that's what you decide to do... also would give you a better chance at getting funds in quicker as not limited to slugging it out against LVT Bounties... which in the alpha with its laser cannon's they are not suited to dog fighting.... as their rate of fire is too slow, which allows your target to recover from any shield damage quite easily... also 1 on 1 against a very LVT is doable.... but expect to be there for a while... and if any other ships jump in... chances are you are gonna need to bug out or be blown up...

Getting the "PACKAGE - CUTTER IAE STARTER PACK" for 55€ that comes with lifetime insurance, I think it will be a great start for star citizen, unfortunately there is no combo at this moment for the squadron 42, but I'm getting it anyway for the lifetime insurance

A the I think means Alpha, you can buy ships with it but i think they wipe the server because the games still in alpha. Once the game goes live, yes you can buy and keep ships with UEC
Look around for an answer a bit more, I heard they fixed wiping in game purchases previously but I don't know how accurate that is.
Nope, every time they reset the server you basically lose anything you collected in game; but you will keep whatever is in your hangar (stuff you purchased in the store for real money).
This apply to Alpha, and probably Beta phase, so if you are planning to play SC as if it was a real game, keep in mind that you may end up wasting your time if you are trying to get a lot of ships. It is a demo at the moment with some features implemented and at least another 5-6 years to go to get in a shippable state; so up to you

No you get a game package which is about $45, but if you can get SQ42 with it in a comb it all costs about $65 thats it

Thanks for the vid! However I would not suggest buying the game/ships yet, the game is years away from being fully playable still and a lot of things can change while your insurance runs out and more ships comes to sale

all the info you need could fit in 4 minutes; the video say the same thing over and over and over. Long story short: buy a 20-40 dollars concept ship for the lifetime insurance token to upgrade at later time; wait for a sale and buy a big ship instead of many small ones.
What is not explained here is that melting remove all your perks associated with that ship. So if you buy a ship package that include SQ42 and the main SC online game, when you melt that ship you won't have SQ42 and the main SC game; so be very careful about what are you melting.

This video is 3 yrs old and even in your newest video you talk about Squadron 42 but never mention its not done now and you cant play it. Its even worst then Ark2. Ive been waiting 8yrs, i get all the emails about the progress but never when its gonna be done. Dont get me wrong i have invested lots in this game and waiting for S42 for years. What you say is true and its whats s42 is suposed to be but you should mention its not done yet and maybe never will.
