Good hack, good hack. I changed my drive cable today and thought I'd watch a couple extras. Now I know what to do when my wheels start slipping. Also, I did appreciate the model number shot, same as mine. Great video
Thanks SBF. I'm gonna try this. Same setup on a Yardpro. I think the problem on this one is compounded by the rounded teeth on the pinion gear. Maybe I'll try filing some of the bad ones. The guy who owned it use to bounce the front end when it wouldnt run right instead of cleaning the carb. The shaft might be slightly bent too compounding it further.
I replaced these wheels before but I made the mistake of putting grease in and they disintegrated quick - I'm thinking no grease or silicone grease next time... Any thoughts?
I would grease the shaft only. I get the impression the wheels are driving and when these mowers are moved in reverse to reposition the mower the strain is too much for the plastic gear to handle. It was a friend's mower probably last forever going forward only. Glad you liked the video
I sincerely dig your “to-the-point”, no-nonsense style & teaching.

That was some clever out of the box thinking. Genius.

I noticed that the rear wheels were not turning. Did you have to do the same thing to them?
They were idle wheels. Not powered.
I like your puppy
Does this work for the back wheel as well.
I would imagine something similar could be attempted. I would try first myself before buying another wheel.
@@thesaltypaultard1271 thank you!
One of my wheel doesn’t spinning?
Sounds like the gearbox might be the issue if it's not a wheel
I've thrown some away. Won't next time.
Please change your title to reflect wheel repair only 😒
