My new Magikarp was pathetic and it couldn't even learn my newly found water gun TM. So when I saw that my Ratatta was compatible with it, I instantly taught him that move. Now I wiped my way out of Mt. Moon with the help of a Ratatta with water gun 😂

oof, this was so much harder than it needed to be xD Minor adjustments for anyone who wants to imitate: -the water gun TM in Mt moon would make quick work of the early hikers, even with Ratatas crummy special. -Dig would have guaranteed easy victories against poison types, including ghosts. it's a 100 power move in gen 1, and only vulnerable to swift. -anyone who wants to try itemless like pikasprey would, doubleteam-rest-body slam-blizzard would probably be the moveset. evasion is way more broken in gen 1 than later games.
I was thinking a of this lol ( namely as by my math you'll always win if you x items no matter the game with the only expectation I can find d is neczkma from ultra sun and moon and even then you still should could with some weak pokemon)

Lord helix!
Dome
I hope
Ofc Lord helix
CraftCrusher eZpZ y tho
he picked up dome and crushed the scientist dome in with it to make them the same
oof, this was so much harder than it needed to be xD Minor adjustments for anyone who wants to imitate:
-the water gun TM in Mt moon would make quick work of the early hikers, even with Ratatas crummy special.
Dig is also great because you can use it like an Escape Rope to dig out of buildings/certain areas
This is such a great video MDB. Really entertaining and hopefully this will help boost your viewership, you deserve it! Keep up the great work my man.
MDB 2019 "Hmm maybe i will make pokemon challenge like other done. What could possibly go wrong?"
MDB 2022 middle in only poison moves run "Mistakes were made"
The animation for Quick attack in this gen looks like it might as well be the move "Abandonment trauma" 8:07 Look at Starmie suffering

Of course you can do this, boi. Your Rattata is in the top 1% 🤘🏻
On a serious note, I’d happily have these videos on while I’m getting ready to sleep. The post commentary over the gameplay is quite relaxing and you’d get a lot of good ideas and recommendations for future challenges so this could be a good series.
I must say, this was a great vid from you, MDB. I love watching fun _Pokemon_ challenges, and you did one with a Pokemon no one's used yet. I must say, the INSERT NAME city part was hilarious, lol.
Also, a fellow Bulbasaur fan? I love this challenge even more now, lol.
I wouldn't mind seeing more challenge videos from you in the future. =)
Thanks, I appreciate it! I had a ton of fun making it, I'm already thinking about what I want to do for Gen 2!
It’s weird watching you do a challenge allowing items, after watching random episodes that caught my attention I finally bit the bullet and clicked your playlist to watch them all and it’s cool to see where you started and the evolution of your channel. Also yes I am going to watch/rewatch every one of these because why not?

Pokemon Platinum: A Journey is the best worst show ever. This is just the best.
INSERT NAME City.
ive watched this 3 times this week. ive no idea why but your voice is relaxing, also what province? im in BC
I'm in Ontario
Same. Where?
Love the nostalgia of seeing Pokemon Blue in color. Reminds me of when I got this game on Game Boy Color for my 6th birthday. Thanks for the great video!
Nice to see an old challange and see how much you grew doing those
If there is one single thing I can say youtube got right, it was recommending me this video, and leading me to your channel and content I've been enjoying so much. Excellent work Manbar and Mah-Dry-Bread: Kanto Champions.
Imagine if Red in later games had a level 83 Rattata with that moveset
You earn my attention and respect when you mentioned Pikasprey!
Congrats, awesome video ;)
I started by using sugar and butter mixing it until it was fluffy, then adding milk, flower and baking-powder.
There is no right or wrong way to say words. I actually like yours better then what I have called it and heard it be called.
OMG in almost a month this video is going to be 1 year old. This challenges changed this man life and I’m so happy for him!Mah-Dry-Beard,congrats man you became my favourite youtuber whos Pokemon challenges I watch every Saturday.
0:20 dont forget jake mcaouly (I think thats how you say it) he beat the first three games with just a weedle.
Pokemon can use HMs while fainted so you could just faint them before battles using wild encounters.

OMG! I have that exact book! Using it as my guide for my fire red playthrough.
I remember watching this video when it first came up. I can’t believe it’s been a year since it came out! Love the challenges
I LOVE Rattata. I consider Rattata my starter for Pokemon Blue and Fire Red. Journey my rattata. I began putting my actual starters to the side and wanted to pick pokemon not many people care for. I love Rattata. Common, average, boring but look deeper into your specific pokemon and it becomes special
I think you can do it. If Ditto can struggle his way through the Elite 4, then I'm sure Rattata can make it through.
Huzzah, I knew it.
