Got a challenge idea:
Take the personality quiz in mystery dungeron blue and pick a friend. Then beat enerald with those 2 mons. And no evolving since in mystery dungeon your main guys dont evolve till you finish the story.

Could be interesting, but in this case, they need to answer honestly instead of just lying to get the Pokemon you want. Granted, I am guilty of that sometimes, but in a challenge run that makes the most sense to me. Super's quiz might actually be better if you want to mix it up, since it does pick your partner too. Or more accurately, narrows it down to four.

How about Castform only in Gen 5? With reusable TMS and permanent weather it seems like the perfect region for our meteorological friend to conquer.
He said he wasn't doing gen 5 runs anymore because they take too long.
Reminds me of when I beat the elite four with a castform as a kid. I thought he was a rare pokemon so I trained him to level 100 before my all my other pokemon and then I demolished the elite four with a fucking castform

Play Pokemon Gen 6/7/8 normally, no restrictions just play the games so you can start to do challenges in those Gens.

Look even though those games are easier than the others challenges can still be hard like pichu only in sun, he wont need the universal Pokemon randomiser as pichu can be found really early so he can do challenges like this where the Pokemon is found early on like a flechling only gen 6 challenge

He can’t really do any challenges on those games because his Pokémon randomizer and emulator things only work for the gen1-gen5 games.

One challenge id like to see is a level cap challenge, say max level 50 but a full team. might be easier overall but especially for crystal and diamond that might be alot harder

I apologize if I'm voicing a thought that is common, but only I never caught on. Isn't it weird that Electabuzz, Magmar, and Jynx got baby pokemon in Gen 2, representing electric, fire and ice? But in Gen 4 only Electabuzz and Magmar got another evolution. I just always thought of them as a trio. Maybe because Jynx is psychic as well? Just a thought.

Yeah that jynx controversy is proof that so many people are just so stupid. I still picture jynx with her original darker face. Not the dumb purple face she's had since.
Jynx had the misfortune of hitting a cultural landmine that ruined things for it. It's design is based off several references that western audiences don't get and instead seem like they're referencing something much more unfortunate so Jynx got shoved into the corner and out of the spotlight. She's a step up from porygon but not by much sadly.

It’d be interesting to see you try a game with only one type of Pokémon, or maybe only one move type, I know it wouldn’t be the hardest challenge but it’d be an interesting balance of strategy aside from luck / grinding and a challenge that’d require some creative thinking.
He actually already did a challenge in unova, using only the first-stage bug type pokemon.

The Ash Challenge: In whatever gen you decide to play in, you have to use the pokemon that Ash uses from the Anime series. If the pokemon evolves, then you can evolve it. If it doesn't then you can't. I know it might not be the hardest one, but if you really want to make it more of a challenge, you can use the exact match-ups that ash used in the anime for that specific Gym.

I beat emerald with nothing but 4 smeargle, even with your rules depending on your smeargles stats it's really easy to get a move that fits it
