I was snipping with a mag rail gun and regularly snipping for at least 2500 damage. You just have to remember to hold down the shoot button to charge it and let go to shoot. I initially thought the gun was crap because it was doing a fraction of the damage, until I read you can charge the weapon. I then jumped from hitting for 400 to hitting for over 2000. I do have 2 legendary weapons I like, the Revenant and Eternity's Gate. Both weapons had lev 3 upgrades I couldn't (at the time) add to myself. The Revenant is a beast of a fully automatic. Each bullet did about 55 damage, but you will land about 20 hits in a sec. With no real kickback, you kill everything in a small room by holding the trigger and waving it around. The Eternity's Gate is a Varuun particle rifle. I hits good and leaves a energy orb with a aoe bleed affect but I'm not sure if thats a glitch since one of the upgrades for the weapon type does that, and I have seen the weapon do it without the upgrade. It can also get you killed because the aoe bleed can hit friendlies and even yourself. The next thing you know the guards are shooting at you. I would definitely not use a Varuun weapon if civilians are in the area.
The Bridger is one of my favorites. Its basically a combination of the Winchester Model 1886 lever action shotgun (aka the MW2 lever action) and the China Lake 40mm pump action grenade launcher.
I’m a big proponent of the pistols in this game being super rewarding and op as a playstyle I love the futuristic gunslinger with a gun for every situation. I also think the rng for weapons effects triggers more frequently when your using handguns . The breach imo is the most halo style gun in the game it reminds of something from that universe
Good thing about pistols is that their weapon spec is just good. Rifles get stat incrase, shotties proc based effect that never matters, heavies get bonus when aiming? These things are meant to be fired from hip, and EM weapons just don't work. Pistols are on the other hand very unique and the final perk offers quite a gearing challenge. Normally you would want to use multi projectile weapon for crits, but the only one pistol from this bracket is magshot - and mag family is known for their poor modding options, can't even put a silencer on it... No talk about binary trigger burst fire mode or unique ammo types. There is no clear best in slot pistol unlike rifles and shotties
You're almost completely right with your perfect tier. Maybe you are. I got the Hard Target early on so there just wasn't a reason to use the Old Earth Hunting Rifle. I like the Big Bang too from a functional stand point. I'd almost call it perfect. But ya, I have to admit it looks clunky. I think it's a mater of scale. Most weapons look a bit too large, maybe a smaller Big Bang would look more stylish. I'm sure the size of these weapons has some thing to do with animation needs. I also would raise the Drum Beat to Cyber Punk. It's a solid weapon but it's no Grendel.
I personally love the Urban Eagle. That said I'm still kinda disappointed at the lack of militaristic weapons and armor in the game especially seeing as their was a war not too long ago in the games history. There's not a lot of more heavy armor style clothes
So. 1. The squareness of the Coachman works for me in conjunction with the name Coachman, because it evokes to me a kind of old fashioned bespoke heavy shotgun, that some rich English dude would have made, instead of something military looking like the Breach. 2. The Magstorm is the best looking of the "Mag" weapons because it doesn't have that weird terrible blue plastic paddle in the stock. 3. The Novalight looks like a medical device. Like a scanner thing to remotely take your temperature during Covid, or to scan pregnant ladies tummies for ultrasounds. 4. Assuming you could put any mods on it you wanted to really specify your preferred look (scopes, barrels, stocks, etc), gun to head, so to speak, I think my favorite * looking* gun in the game is the Beowulf.
I try different weapons but I ALWAYS default to a short scoped silenced breach. The snap scope accuracy is GREAT and with the silencer it's such a great stealth gun.
Bro. You are sl.eep.ing. on the kodama! Burst shot, drum mag, recon laser, silencer, tactical grip, reflex sight, high powered... one of the best guns. But yeah, it does look like a stapler... or better yet...a nail gun😅
you're right the tombstone is off visually. It's a decent rifle functionally i guess, but upon first glance i thought it was some sort of weird futuristic shotgun or something
With some of the guns having stubby/no stocks i think its made for use in a space suit, in modern times a common use with body armor is to fully collapse the stock. But could just be a coincidence
Too many to go over individually but generally; 1. I would place anything "Old Earth" into the Not For Me category. 2. All of the Va'ruun, Nova, and Tool Grip weapons are also Not For Me. 3. Sidestar and Urban Eagle are Fine. 4. Mag Weapons are Cyberpunk. 5. CombatTech and Laredo weapons (all) fall into the Cyberpunk category, with the Eon, Beowulf, Hard Target, and long-barrel Rattler hitting the Perfect tier. 6. The Equinox and Orion are both Cyberpunk, especially when the Equinox is dressed up. 7. The Solstice is nominated for the special category of "Why Couldn't It Look Like a Pistol Version of the Equinox?" Definitely in the "Not For Me" category because I don't shop for my laser weapons at the Dollar General toy aisle.
I love the look of the kodama, but the stock that wraps around the bottom is never used. Clearly, it is supposed to be taken off and attached at the rear, but neither of the stocks you put on it are the same one, it even has a folding animation if you put one on it. The problem with the tombstone is that it is made for a person with 3 arms, like why does it have 3 grips and the front one has the selector on it? And all of the pump shotguns have the operating system backwards, they pump the grip forwards and the action moves backwards. And lastly the old earth guns for me feel really overpowered for weapons that are like 300 years old, if I took and 300 year old gun compared to today it would be total ass, so it seems odd to me that they wouldn't be like the cheapest, and weakest guns in the game.
It's your list and as you say very subjective. Still you seem to be more focused far more on looks then the actual effectiveness of the weapon which i'm not a fan of.
The Kodama was my favorite for a while but there’s something about the Coachman that keeps drawing me. Everything about it from the reload to the sound just feels so satisfying. I have an Advanced Skip Shot w/ Extended Mags and Poison

i once heard the urban eagle described as “a glock in a trenchcoat pretending to be a desert eagle” visually speaking it’s super accurate
Yeah I can see that.
The Bridger is one of my favorites. Its basically a combination of the Winchester Model 1886 lever action shotgun (aka the MW2 lever action) and the China Lake 40mm pump action grenade launcher.
The AA-99's reload is hella tight
100% agree!
With extended mag & armor piercing, it slaps.

Awesome to hear, and yeah the novalight does kind of look like a medical device. Even more so with the nozzle on the end of it.
I think you nailed it pretty good. Three of my favorites are in your perfect category. Beowulf, magstorm and hard target are my most used weapons.
Awesome! Thank you very much!
Another great video thanks duder!
Glad you enjoyed!
The AA-99 REMINDS me of the Marine rifle from aliens 2
The shape does remind me of the M41A Pulse Rifle from Aliens
Yeah it does look like that. I think the one Microgun is named after the Aliens smart rifle.
I try different weapons but I ALWAYS default to a short scoped silenced breach. The snap scope accuracy is GREAT and with the silencer it's such a great stealth gun.
That is fair, it is really cool and one of the options for a sniper weapon.

That is a good point and not something I really thought about.
I remember them saying in some interview that the bullpup design was intentional for a lot of the designs they chose
Chunky. I think the word you might have been looking for with the Tombstone is chunky.
Thanks!

Thanks for sharing, those are some great choices.
coachman looks really sexy with a short barrel, and packs a punch with hornet nest
I will say that it does look better with the shorter barrel.
Hard Target is my favorite
Very cool, I like that one a lot!
Yes, it with an advanced scope and a suppressor......
I love the look of the kodama, but the stock that wraps around the bottom is never used. Grendel was trash for me..I bought the buzzcut on neon and it never did well took too long to kill anything
It's your list and as you say very subjective. Still you seem to be more focused far more on looks then the actual effectiveness of the weapon which i'm not a fan of.
Yeah that is the whole point of this list.

The coachman with the hornet rounds is the *muah chefs kiss
Very cool!
